51.66 miles in 3 hours on stationary bike at gym. 17.22 MPH. This was a long time to sit, and my butt is sore.

| | 28.34 miles on stationary bike. My butt wasn't as sore as I expected after yesterday's 3 hour ride. I did today's ride in 1:46, an average of 16.04 MPH. My butt wasn't sore, but my energy levels were really lacking about an hour in. I sure hope my foot heals soon, because this bike riding business is BORING. I am thinking of adding some swimming in next week, but I am a horrible swimmer.

33 miles on stationary bike. Felt a lot better today than I did on Saturday. My foot feels a little better today. I have done 112 mile in 3 days, and now am going to start swimming. Hopefully by the time my swimming is done, I can feel good about my foot to start running.

| | Swam 1.5 miles today. My foot feels way better today than it did just a couple of days ago. |

| | Didn't count total laps today, but I would guess I swam about 1.5 miles. My foot feels like its about 98%, I keep contemplating running sooner than the 2 weeks rest, but I know I probably shouldn't. |

| | went swimming. I only lasted about an hour in the pool because my goggles kept on leaking on the right side. I had to stop every 1-2 laps and let the water out, and I got frustrated. |

36 miles on bike. I felt great today and was able to keep my heart rate at an average of 157 bpm. It felt good. My foot feels a lot better today than yesterday, and yesterday it felt about 98%. I would say I am getting close to being able to run again, but I probably won't until next Monday just to make sure.

| | 1 hour swim. I think I have figured out how to make my goggles water tight, that makes a huge difference. After a bit of a warm up I was able to swim 13 laps without a stop for rest or to fix my goggles. I am getting better. My foot feels good today so far. |

30 miles on stationary bike at the gym. I felt good during this ride. Somebody was using the bike I normally use, so I had to use a different kind. I liked it a lot. I did the 30 miles in 95 minutes. My foot feels about 98-99%, but I am not going to run until next Monday and hope it gets to 100% and feels that way for a couple of days before I run on it.

62.5 miles on stationary bike. I felt good the whole time and felt like I could go a lot farther. I didn't really push myself because I knew I was going for 3 hours, so my HR wasn't incredibly high.

| | 1 hour of swimming. I did about 5 laps, then took a minute or so break. This was a good swim, and I feel like I am getting better at it. |

First run in almost 3 weeks, I felt a little rusty and stiff, but it felt good to be running again. My foot felt good for the most part. Sometimes when I would run against traffic it felt a little uncomfortable, but not too bad. I did switch sides when I felt discomfort. My HR monitor was acting dumb, .1 miles after I started it said my HR was 185. I have never seen it at 185.It says my Max was 203 (and I would have died), and the average was 160. Obviously those numbers cant be trusted. After about 7 minutes it started to read correctly around 140 BPM.

8 miles at 7:30 at night. I was trying to go slower than I actually was, but couldn't slow down. I felt like I was laboring the whole the time, which wasn't a good feeling. I had to stop at mile 7.15 and knock on three doors until somebody let me use their toilet. I am so grateful that someone let a sweaty stranger in their house to poop in their toilet. Avg HR 164 Max HR 174 HR was a little higher than normal, and it has been high all day but I have no idea why. Avg mile was 7:35

10.2 miles, I started a little after 9:00 pm. I was a little nervous about running at night again because of what happened yesterday, but luckily no gastro issues tonight. About 10 seconds into my run my lower back felt a little sore, but it went away within half a mile. My legs are incredibly sore, they feel more sore than after racing a half marathon, so I think I am going to swim tomorrow morning instead of running to try and give my legs a chance to recover. Maybe I will feel great in the morning and be ready to run. Other than being sore, this run went well. 9.8 miles at 12:15 pm. It was about 73-75 degrees, and way too hot. This was probably the worst run I have ever had. I kept thinking that I just wanted to take a shortcut and head straight home rather than finishing all 9.8 planned miles. Again my back was hurting, my legs are super sore, and it was hot. I really need to start going to bed earlier so I can get up and run in the mornings. For some reason my HR has been through the roof lately, maybe it has to do with the time of day I have been going running.

| | 7 miles on treadmill at 3:00 pm. I haven't felt good the last few runs, and didn't want to go in the heat of the day, so I went to the gym. I couldn't run this morning because I had to wake up at 5 and finish a paper, then I didn't get done with school until 2:45, and had to be somewhere from 4;45 to 9;00. This was probably the best run of the week so far. I didn't feel overly tired (besides the normal treadmill sluggish feeling), and I averaged 7:46 minute miles, which is pretty good for me on a treadmill. 12 miles at 6:30 am. I took about an hour to get out the door because I woke up with a way dry mouth and I was very sore. So I drank some diluted Gatorade to help with the dry mouth. This was a good run, I didnt feel like I was going too hard, but for some reason my quads have just been sore and painful all week. My back didn't hurt today, which was the first time all week. 1

16 miles at noon. It was about 63 degrees when I left, and about 70 when I got back 2 hours later. It felt great when I left, but was too warm when I got home. I didn't know how many miles I was going to do when I started, but I knew it would be at least 13. I thought if I am going to go out 6.5, I might as well go out 7. If I am going to go out 7, I might as well go out 7.5. And if I am going to go out 7.5, I might as well go out 8. I didn't want to do anymore, because I dont want to push myself too much and get hurt again. I felt good for most of this run. For some reason my right nostril was bleeding for most of the time, but I only noticed it when I would fire a rocket or wipe it. I had plenty of energy, and if it didnt get too warm I feel like I could have gone a lot further. I wasn't trying to go very fast, but about 7:30's felt really comfortable, which is about 15-20 seconds faster than what usually feels easy. 1 |

10 miles with Crystal at 5:15 am. I am glad I went with Crystal today, my right knee feels a little sore from yesterdays run, so it was good to slow down a little bit. Crystal did really good. I am impressed that she just keeps moving forward despite knee and stomach pains.
This was a long run for her, so we were taking it nice and easy.
Avg 10:52
Max HR 159
Avg HR 114
This was about a minute slower per mile than she did her 10 miles a few weeks ago, but her knee was bothering her more during this run. She did great. |

12 miles at 10:20 in the afternoon. My third class was canceled, and I have about an hour break before my fourth class, so I got my run in. On Wednesday I had a hard time slowing down, so today I started out thinking of trying to hit about 8 minutes miles. I averaged 7:46's, but thats about 10 seconds slower than Wednesdays run. I wanted to go slower today because I am doing a tnirps (backwards sprint) tri tomorrow. This run went well, I was pleased with my time. I felt good the whole time, and could have done more.

| | Today I did my first triathlon. It was a reverse tri. Started out with 3.1 mile run, then 12 mile bike, and finished with a 600 yard swim. There were 4 heats, and about 15 people in my heat. I took 3rd in my heat, and don't know what place overall. But I wasn't racing anyone, I was just trying to enjoy my first triathlon. The run had a good sized hill about half way. I finished the run in first, by about 20 seconds. The biking portion was on stationary bikes. I thought the bikes were calibrated for resistance-miles, but I learned at about mile 6 that it was just revolutions. I then released all the tension and tried to pedal as fast as I could. The first 6 miles really killed my time. I took a GU and some gatorade on the bikes. I was fourth coming off of the bikes. I am not a strong swimmer, but I had a few weeks of practicing a little while ago. I finished 3rd in my heat with a time of 59:16. It was a lot of fun, and I am positive it won't be my last triathlon.
