I have ran three marathons. SGM in 2005, Ogden in 2006, and SGM 2006. My best time in a marathon is Ut. Valley Marathon 3:59:46. I have ran seven half marathons, some 10k's and 5k"s. My favorite marathon is SGM.I have ran 13 Marathons, will be during my first Ultra in march of 2013, it will be the Antalope Island Buffalo Run, a 50k.
2008 SGM PR 4:02:23 The best is yet to come. Short-Term Running Goals: Short term running goal is to increase my four days a week of running to five to six days a week. Do more speed work this coming year. Bring my times down. I would like to do SGM in 4 hrs or less. Long-Term Running Goals: Keep up with my Brother Clay in a marathon, someday do a sub four hour marathon, and BQ. Personal: I have been married for 34Years, and am still madly in love with my wife Wendy. I have four children and six Grand children.

| Today I am in Las Vegas at my daughter Haylies house for a few days. It is alot warmer here than it is at home in Utah. The temp. a nice 60 degrees perfect for running. My time was 49:54. |

| Well back in wonderful warm Utah, Ha,Ha Vegas was fun to run in some warmer weather. Today I could diffenitly feel the altitutde change as I felt like I was working harder, maybe the colder weather also had something to do with it. My time today was 47:40. |

| This week I plan on increasing my weekly mileage By no more than 5 total. So somewhere aroumd a total of 35 for the week. I felt ok today, at my 4 mile mark my time was 35:41, the last two miles are uphill about a 3 to 4 percent grade. my total time was 53:00. |

| What an awesome run today, not that my time was very good, but I seen three big bull Elk in the Spanish Fork river bottoms. It was very cool. Today it took me almost as long to do the 5 miler as it did the 6 miler yesterday. My time today was 50:27. I did feel very wack today, maybe tommorrow I will do better. |

| Today I thought I would just go out and do an easy run, and not push to hard, but once I got going I felt pretty good. My first 3 mile split was 26:08, I thought not to bad. I still felt like I had some more energy to give so The final 3 I tried to pick it up a little more and ended with a 24:51, total for the 6 miler was 50:49 almost a 3 min. improvement from Tues. 6 miler. |

| I did not feel as good today, the right outside bottom of my foot is a little sore. It hurts pretty good when I get up each morining, but after I have walked on it for few min. it seems to lossen up. It only bother's me for a few min. at the begining of my runs, and then go'es away. My time today was a very slow 59:02 |

| My right outside bottom of my right foot is still sore, so I took it easy. My time today was 47:50, and I also did 200 crunches to try and strenghten my core. The 3 Bull Elk are still in the river bottoms. Very cool. |

| I took yesterday off and let my right foot heal up a little. It was still a little bit sore today, so I took it real easy. I am haveing a hard time staying motivated. Everyone in my house this week has had the roto-rooter trots, sick tummies. My wife and I are the only ones who have dodged the bullet, so far. I hope I don't get that nasty stuff. my time today was a very slow 1:01:20. |

| I have been blessed with a new toy for my running addiction. My wife and Mom gave me a Garmin 205 for Christmas, and today I used it on my run. I think it will be a great tool to help me get better and faster. I am still trying to figure out all the bells and whiseles. I felt pretty good today after taking a few days of to let my foot get better still haveing some problems on the bottom of my right foot, I think it is time for some new shoes. My time today was 46:53. Average pace was 9.10 min. mile. |

| Today I used my new toy again. I sure am enjoying the info it gives back. Today I wanted to do 6.0 and see if I could Just hold a 10 min. pace without pushing to hard, my right foot is still somewhat sore. My time today was 59:31, Burned 1072 calories. My best pace was an 8:06 I have no idea when that was, average pace was 9:30. Today I ordered me some new Asics Kayano's, should be here in a week. |

| The morining there was a new inch of snow on the roads, so I did 20 min. of my nordic track, and planned to do 6 miles in the afternoon when the roads were not so snowy. I felt ok on the run, really did'nt feel much like pushing it, so I kept it at a 10 min. pace. My time today was a slow 1:53:00, My right foot is still a little tender, can't wait for the new shoes to get here. I did see 3 deer, and 3 bull elk which was way cool. There was a pretty good head wind through most of my run. Calories burned today 1169 on my 6 mile run, and 250 on my nordic track workout. I have been on vaction for about a week, before my vacation my weight was at 175, this morning I was at 172. I would like to get down to 160, don't know if I have the determination to do that. But will try. I whis I had my wife's will power to stay away from the refined sugar, chocolate is my main weakness. |
