Running Accomplishments:

I started running about ten and a half years ago. I have ran three marathons. SGM in 2005, Ogden in 2006, and SGM 2006. My best time in a marathon is Ut. Valley Marathon 3:59:46. I have ran seven half marathons, some 10k's and 5k"s. My favorite marathon is SGM.I have ran 13 Marathons, will be during my first Ultra in march of 2013, it will be the Antalope Island Buffalo Run, a 50k.

2008 SGM PR 4:02:23 The best is yet to come.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Short term running goal is to increase my four days a week of running to five to six days a week.  Do more speed work this coming year. Bring my times down. I would like to do SGM in 4 hrs or less.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep up with my Brother Clay in a marathon, someday do a sub four hour marathon, and BQ.

Personal:

I have been married for 34Years, and am still madly in love with my wife Wendy. I have four children and six Grand children.

I will try and start to blog again, I have been busy with work and my church calling, then throw in time for family and the day is shot. So I will do my best.

Todays run took me up around the golf course, nice run but I don't like going off of daylight savings time. It's almost dark by the time I get done. Seen about thirty head of deer in the river bottoms. My legs are still a little wack from the SGM. I think I have a slite injury from the marathon. left leg upper quad. I have been working with it the past month and seems to be getting better each week. I am able to still run but just taking it easy. I will start some serious training at the first of the year as I am planing on doing the Spectrum 10 in march and then the month after that the Hurricane half.  Bye.

Happy election day to all, kind of a scary time for our country. I think we are going to make a big left turn. I know that in the end good will win.

Todays run took me up to the golf course again, my legs did have a bit more energy.But the left legs is still kind of bothersome. Just a nice easy pace and injoyed the run. I don't like the colder weather much but we will have to get used to it for a few months I guess. I did 30 min of upper body weight training and 200 crunches.

Todays run was the coldest yet for the new winter season that is upon us. i just want to get the winter over with. The older I get more I dislike the cold weather. The run was very injoyable, warmed up after about a mile. I think the legs are coming along and begining to feel good after last months SGM.

Still kind of on the cold today, my run took me up canal road to the top of the golf course and back. The sun is low in the sky at 4 pm and by the time my run is done the sun is down. I can't wait for six more weeks and the sun will start to work it's way back north. Today both legs felt good and strong. the best they have felt sense the SGM. So I think they are almost totally recovered.  finished todays workout with 200 crunches.

I have not run in the rain since SGM. So todays run remineded me alot of that, very wet but also very injoyable. It was a great run and a great day. Did weights on upper body and another 200 crucnhes.

Still real cloudy and a little colder than yesterdays run in the rain. I did the golf course route adgain today. Just not alot of daylight left when I get home from work. Still a great run and a great day.More weights on the old upper body and another 200 crunches.

I just had time this eve for a little run, It was a very nice day weather wise which made for a very injoyable run. I did 30 min of upper body weight training, and finished with 200 crunches.

The weather just dose'nt get any better than this in November. I ran in shirt and shorts again today, it felt absolutley wonderful. I ran across the river bottoms to gu corner, then up power house road, around the golf course. There were some people out playing golf it was diffenitley nice for that. I came down canal road and ran into Bruce Hall, and Bryan Stouffer. We talked for a min, and then they were on there way, and I headed for home, by this time the sun was down and it was getting on the dark side for the last mile. Another month and the days will begin to slowley get longer. It was a great run and a great day. I did 30 min of weight strengthening on the upper body. Finished with 200 crunches.

Another awesome fall day, This has been a great fall so far. I did another run up around the  golf course, there were a few runners out this evening everybody taking advantage of the great weather. My legs are begining to feel better and strong again and have started to do some hills in my workouts. Lot's of deer running around the river bottoms they are kind of fun to watch. I took the day off from weight training, but did do 200 crunches. It's was a great run and has been a great day.

Another great fall day for a run. The last time I ran on a sat was SGM so it flet good to have some time today and do a longer run. Felt good most of the run and had good energy. I ran out to the base of Harry's Hill and back home.

Another nice fall day and a great run, I ran out to gu corner and back. Then I headed down canal road and came out by the Bishops Storehouse, then up senic drive to home.  My legs felt good after sat. long run of  9 plus. So I think the old legs are starting to get back in shape. I did 30 min of upper body weight strenghtening. I finished with 200 crunches. It has been another great day. Catch ya later.

I seen a sun dog this afternoon, a sun dog is ice crystals very high in the atmosphere that reflect the sun light a gives a little rainbow spot in the sky. A sun dog sighting means rain or moisture within 48hrs.

Todays run took me up around the golf course, very nice weather and comfy temps again. I could get used to a winter like this. My legs did feel good today, just took it kind of easy. I did 25 min of upper body weight training  and finished with 200 crunches.

My legs today were on the wack side, so we did an easy 6 miler. I ran up around the river bottoms again it was a little cooler today, but was comfy after a 1 mile warm up.

Nice run on this Thanksgiving morn, temps were great and there was some sunshine. The legs did not recover very well from yesterday afternoons run, but we slugged it out. I did another around the golf course loop and there were lots of runners out this morn. I finished with 200 crunches. Now lets eat some turkey !!!!
