1 hour of pool running. Probably only covered 1000m of distance, but it was an awesome workout. The entertainment was the high school swim team practice. The foot didn't get much better over the weekend.

15 min on elliptical and stretching.  This was after an hour of lawn mowing.  My foot hurt for the first minute mowing then it felt great after that.  Weird.  Maybe walking is no longer hurting it.

Pool running in the morning for an hour.  Did a ladder workout.  2(min), 3,4,5,4,3,2,2,3,4,5 with a min easy between each one.  I was working hard today.  Time flew by.

Foot still hurts to walk, but seems to be improving day to day.  Still not runnable yet.

30 min on elliptical. It was raining therefore the pool was not open. My opinion is that it is best to swim when it is raining. You are all wet, what difference does it make?

20.5 bike ride in the evening.  Beth took the kids out of town so I had the evening all to myself.  I rode up to Guinevah Malibu Campground and back via the canal trail.  I ran into Jon on the blvd and rode with him until he turned around.  He was moving pretty good today.  Hardly breathing too.  The trail was awesome.  Hardly any people.  I was moving on the lower section of the trail (Gate to start of single-track).  7 mins up, 5 mins down.  The single track sections were much slower as they are pretty technical.  The hardest part was right before GM campground.  As I turned around to come home I read the sign that says that the section of trail I just rode is closed to bikes.  Oops.  Oh, well.

I thought about counting my biking miles as running to tick people off.  Its the thought that counts huh?

Pool Running for an hour.  I was eyeballing the grass field next to the pool the whole time.  I decided to give it a try.  250 meters (measured later using Google Earth) of jogging in my shoes on the grass.  It wasn't painful, but noticeable.  I stopped at that point knowing it would only make things worse.  I know it isn't ready yet but hopefully soon??  Walking barefoot is more painful than with shoes.  With good shoes on, I can hardly tell there is an issue.  Walking barefoot I feel it more.  Not from direct pressure from the ground, just the lack of cushioning I believe.

Question:  How can I tell the difference between a bone bruise and tendonitis?  I am convinced I don't have a stress fracture (due to Scott's comment about hopping on one foot.  I can hop without it killing.  Therefore, likely not a stress fracture.  What if my bones (lets say  the 5th metatarsal and the cuboid got friendly to each other and now they are mad?  Could that be causing the pain?  I am still leaning towards a tendon issue, but it is a thought.  While I am grasping at straws, what about a bone spur?  If I sent to a podiatrist whould he be able to tell me?  Or would he say "Just stop running until it heals."

Jardine Juniper trail with Jon today.  The only problem was I was biking and he was running.  He killed me on the uphill.  It was a combination of a rocky and muddy trail.  My tires were so caked in mud, I couldn't move.  It was super hard.  I was working way too hard to be going 5mph up the hills.  It was fun though.  Did I mention it was muddy?  Oh yeah I did.  It took me an hour to get up to the top. (5 miles with just under 2000 feet of gain (5400 to 7300)).  24 mins down.  It would've been faster but my "shockless" bike beat me to pieces. Jon and I got back to the car at basically the same time.  He went and did it again and I went down the canyon to Right hand fork and cruised around on those trails/roads for an hour.  I am super tired now.
