Ran from up by Veyo down through Gunlock and into Ivin's with the club. The good news was it was raining up at the start. Felt soo good. Everyone was complaining that the rain sucked and it was cold and that this was "crazy" to be out running...  for some reason it just bugged me. It's like what do you want? 85 F, hot and muggy. You get that kind of reaction with club members. Not to be mean but they don't appreciate "good" days like members of the Circle. Steve and Haydo were there and it helped settle me down as we took off and left the group to have them there. Anyways long rant. But I was pissy. On little sleep. Up at 3:40 and just wasn't in the mood.

So the first 7-10 miles we had a really nice rain to run in. Stephen kept pushing the pace. Fast and hard early. I knew I was gonna struggle early on as the warm up miles felt hard and my legs were just junk. After hitting mile 10 I got my drink and Gu. Kind of thought about trying some kind of workout. But I just could NOT get my legs going. 6 min pace felt like I was running 100's on the track. I tried for 3-4 miles to get some turnover and only hit like 6:02 on thos miles. So after that I bagged it. By 16.5 I wondered if I could even finish the run and wished I'd have had Hayden come back in his truck and pick me up after he got done. But I just kept plugging a long and finally finished. 6:24 avg for the run.

Need to mix it up or something. Gonna try and have a recovery/fix it week next week. Whatever I'm doing it's not working. Hopefully I can get on the bike or at least the spinner a few times because I'm not happy with how running is going right now.

Nice mileage again this week. I bet what you're doing is working better than you think. Keep the faith and keep working hard. That said, backing off a little to absorb the training could do you some good. I agree. If you can find the time, the bike would be a great way to mix things up.
