Ran outside today. Did 2 sets of 5,3,1 hard with 1 minute jog in between each...Paces for first one were 5:00 at 5:47 pace, 3:00 at 5:40, 1:00 at 4:57, the next set was 5:00 at 5:57, 3:00 at 6:12, 1:00 at 5:34... First set of these was pretty downhill/aided. I still am trying to get rid of this cold-(it keeps lingering) so I was happy with the effort today.. Hopefully I can get this body back into the swing of things.. |

| 5 miles today... The elementary school was having their 2 mile run and I paced my friend's 4th grader this morning. He ran 14:24 for 2 miles (some uphill) and finished 5th overall..I was proud of him-7:12 pace is pretty good for a 4th grader.. This little race was so fun to watch and it made me excited to run with my kids in the future..Did 3 more on the treadmill when I came home... |

| Got up this morning and did 3x2 miles with .5 jog in between. First two were downhill 6:05 and 6:00. Next two were at the track..My watch got a little messed up-but I think they were 6:12,6:18..Last two were back home-uphill at 7:00, 6:49..(definitely alot slower-but also uphill) I was hoping for my track miles to be a bit faster-but overall I am happy with the workout.. |

| Did a long run of 18 outside today...Ran 12 at 7:15 avg pace, then tried picking it up some for the last 6 miles...Splits for last 6 were 6:30,6:55,6:24,6:48,7:29,7:32 (last 2 uphill) 6:55 avg for pickup miles...7:08 avg pace over the whole run..(Did have one gu/potty stop 10 miles in).. Overall felt really great today...The last 2 miles were really hard, although they were uphill...At this point my legs were starting to feel pretty tired-but lungs felt great. |
