Surprisingly good run this moring. I ate some junk Sunday, so I figured I would suffer on my run today. I think having Sunday off and not running very fast for a few weeks left me feeling pretty fresh.

Mile 1 in 7:26 (8:14 last Saturday)

Mile 2 in 7:06

Mile 3 in 6:45

Mile 3.5 in 3:18 (6:36pm)

Mile 4.5 in 6:23

Mile 5.5 in 6:14

Mile 6.5 in 6:05

Last .52 in 3:05 (5:56pm) Total 7.02 miles.

Did another 3.02 with my wife while pushing the baby jogger. Total of 10.04 miles for the day. Longest the dogs ever ran. He's a short legged dog and was dragging pretty bad at mile 5.5. I don't feel bad for him. I'd be happy if I had two extra legs to help me out with my runs.

Legs a little tired from two days of speed. Didn't push it today, kept it nice and easy.

Had to run at 6:00am, I was proud of myself. Had to go to work early this morning.

Nothing fast, but steady. The dog didn't know what to think about running while it was still dark.

A bit faster then yesterday. Didn't have to start so early. Ended up running a few miles at marathon pace, felt pretty relaxed. 7 miles.

Did another 3 with the wife and kid. Nice and easy cool down.

I was a little depressed this morning, not being able to run the Butch Cassidy 10k (it was full). I had a pretty good run. It was smooth and pretty effortless, I managed to keep a pretty good pace. My easy miles were right in between easy and marathon pace. It made me wonder how well I would have raced today. I did 10.04 miles with the dog and then ran with the family.

I started out to do the normal 3 miles with my wife, but my 6 year old (whitney) who is normally in school wanted to go too. She started out riding her bike, but couldn't keep up because of the hills. I told my wife to go on ahead while I ran back to the house while Whitney rode her bike. We dropped the bike off and Whitney wanted to run out to mom, so we did. When we saw her coming back, we turned around so mom wouldn't beat us home. Whitney ran a total of 2 miles with me and we managed to beat mom. I promised Whitney a Polly Pocket at the store next time, if she beat mom. Mom was trying to catch us, but Whitney ran her last .25 at a 7:20 mile pace to take the victory.
