I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

This morning I went for an easy four. I ran from my house to the Rite Aid and back. I didn't get started till about 9:30 so it was really hot. My time was 35:24, so pretty slow but I think that was because of the heat. Also my legs are a little bit tired from yesterday's run. (Pegasus 232)

This morning we met at Sugarhouse Park for xc practice. We did the cemetary loop. Me and Susannah ran together. It was 7 miles. Our time was 55:10, so 7:52 pace. It was a great run. We pushed the pace pretty well. My legs were a bit tired. This week I am going to try to hit 50 miles. (Pegasus 239)

AM- This morning we met at liberty park. Collin said he was coming but wasn't there and since he lived really close to the park we decided to jog to his house and wake him up. After that we started the workout. We were supposed to do 4 laps each lap getting 15 seconds faster. Me and Susannah ran together. The first lap was really slow, too slow. It was a 13:22. The next lap we had trouble only speeding up 15 seconds and our time was 12:55. Then we ran a 12:41. The last lap we just opened up and didn't worry about time. It felt really good and was an 11:25. The overall time for the workout was 54:54 for 6 and a half miles. So it was 8:26 pace which isn't too bad. Tonight we have speed work. So that should be good. My legs are a little tired but it feels good to be able to run without pain and push the pace a little bit. (Pegasus 245)

PM- Tonight I had the wasatch athletics workout. I got there a little late so I did the warm-up lap around the park alone. Then I did 3 laps of speed changes and 1 lap slow. Then we did the workout. We did 1 800. I was supposed to shoot for 3 minutes, my time was 2:54. The first lap was a 1:30, and the second a 1:24. It felt pretty hard. Much harder than it should have for that pace. Hopefully as I get in shape it will feel easier. Then we jogged one lap and did 10x200 with 100 meter jogging in between as recovery. These are my times for those:

1- 42

2- 43

3- 41

4- 41

5- 41

6- 41

7- 42

8- 41

9- 40

10- 38

I ran them with Carol. My legs were tired and felt a bit slugish today. I didn't think I was going to be able to make all ten at that pace, so I was really glad when I did. After that we did a lap around the park for the cooldown. (Pegasus 251)

This morning we went to Pipeline trail for xc practice. We started at Birch Hollow and ran to Rattlesnake Gulch and back. It was 7.25 and my time was 1:01:50, so 8:30 pace. It was a good run and I came back faster than I went out so that was good. After the run I sat in the river for 15 minutes. It was freezing! (Pegasus 258)

AM- This morning for xc practice we met at sunnyside park. We did a two mile warm-up around the park, and then we did some fartlek. We did 6x3 minutes on and 2 minutes of recovery in between. It was a good workout. I pushed pretty hard and was very tired by the end of the workout. Afterwards we did a mile cooldown. My total time for the 7 miles was 57:43. (Pegasus 265)

PM- I went to pipeline trail and jogged an easy two miles just to loosen up. Then I sat in the river for 15 minutes.  (Pegasus 267)

This morning we had XC practice at Liberty park. We did one lap of warm-up, then a lap of fireman, and a lap cooldown. It was a nice easy workout. My leg was a little sore probably from yesterday's workout.  (Pegasus 272)

Today I had a great race! I ran a 19:49, which is over a minute faster than Murray. My first mile was a 6:12, then a 6:16, and then a 6:43. The last tenth was a 37. My last mile was too slow. It was uphill but not that much so I'll have to work on that. I'm excited to have run under 20 again hopefully I can continue to improve.
