Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

AM- This morning we met at liberty park. Collin said he was coming but wasn't there and since he lived really close to the park we decided to jog to his house and wake him up. After that we started the workout. We were supposed to do 4 laps each lap getting 15 seconds faster. Me and Susannah ran together. The first lap was really slow, too slow. It was a 13:22. The next lap we had trouble only speeding up 15 seconds and our time was 12:55. Then we ran a 12:41. The last lap we just opened up and didn't worry about time. It felt really good and was an 11:25. The overall time for the workout was 54:54 for 6 and a half miles. So it was 8:26 pace which isn't too bad. Tonight we have speed work. So that should be good. My legs are a little tired but it feels good to be able to run without pain and push the pace a little bit. (Pegasus 245)

PM- Tonight I had the wasatch athletics workout. I got there a little late so I did the warm-up lap around the park alone. Then I did 3 laps of speed changes and 1 lap slow. Then we did the workout. We did 1 800. I was supposed to shoot for 3 minutes, my time was 2:54. The first lap was a 1:30, and the second a 1:24. It felt pretty hard. Much harder than it should have for that pace. Hopefully as I get in shape it will feel easier. Then we jogged one lap and did 10x200 with 100 meter jogging in between as recovery. These are my times for those:

1- 42

2- 43

3- 41

4- 41

5- 41

6- 41

7- 42

8- 41

9- 40

10- 38

I ran them with Carol. My legs were tired and felt a bit slugish today. I didn't think I was going to be able to make all ten at that pace, so I was really glad when I did. After that we did a lap around the park for the cooldown. (Pegasus 251)
