I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

Today I walked a half mile, ran three miles, then walked a half mile. It was really windy so I decided to do the first part into the wind so I'd have the wind to my back the second half. My total time was 46:09.

Today I walked half a mile, then ran 2 miles, then walked half a mile. My total time was 36:02. It was windy and cold out. I had a hard time motivating myself to get my run done. It will be nice when I get into better shape and running starts to actually feel good and be relaxing.

Today I went to the Jordan River Trail, I walked a half mile, ran 3 miles then walked a half mile. My total time was 46:06. The trail was closed just over a mile in so I had to turn around and run the other direction. It was cold and sprinkling a little bit. I felt okay, better than yesterday.

I got called off 4 hours into my shift last night so I got some sleep which made my workout today much nicer. I walked half a miles, ran 4 miles, then walked half a mile. I went to the river today. My total time was 55:19. My left shin has been hurting so I iced after my run. I work quite a bit next week so I'll have to be really good about making sure to get my runs done.

Today I walked a half mile, ran a mile, then walked a half mile. My total time was 25:29. I did my run to the gym and then lifted weights and stretched at the gym. My left shin has been hurting so I'm hoping by doing weights to strengthen the rest of my body it will help with my shins. I've also iced my shin the past two day so hopefully that helps too.

This morning I ran two miles. My total time was 20:50. My shin only hurt a little bit. I'm icing it now. I work the next three days so I'm going to take tomorrow off, and then I'll run again on wednesday. Hopefully, a day of recovery will help my shin.

I ran 4 miles with my Dad after work tonight. My time was 41:11. It was nice to run with someone, it definitely makes the run go by faster and I got my long run for the week done which is nice.

Today I ran 3 miles. It felt good and my total time was 30:09.  After my workout I did 3x 15 sit-up and 3x10 push-ups.

My original plan for the week was to run 15 miles and walk 5, and then next week run 20. I'm having a hard time motivating myself to do my workouts on the days where I'm going to walk because it takes so much more time, so I'm going to skip the walking and just get the 15 miles of running in. I don't know that the walking is benefiting me much anyway now that I'm able to run 2-3 miles each day.

Today I ran 3 miles in 29:49. The course I ran was pretty hilly too. After my run I did some stretching then 3x15 crunches, 3x10 push-ups and 3x10 leg lifts.

Tonight I ran 2 miles, and I took Aurora with me. She was really excited, so the first mile was alot faster than the second. My total time was 20:20. That makes my second week of running 15, next week I'll go 20. On a side note, I have my phone track how far I walk at work and today I walked 5 miles while at work, and it was just an average shift.

This morning I ran 5 miles with Salt Lake track club. We did the cemetery loop, and it took me 47:49. I felt really good and it was one of my fastest runs too. Hopefully I'll be able to run with people more often it's always nice to have someone to run with, but my work schedule makes that tricky. Not many people want to run at 4:30 in the morning.

This morning I ran three miles on the treadmill in 29:37. I hate the treadmill but it was supposed to snow so I thought I'd give it a try. I pay too much attention to the monitor when I run on the treadmill and the miles seem to drag on forever but I'm glad I got it done.

Today I did 3 miles on the treadmill really slow. I still don't feel good and I didn't want to be outside in the cold so I went to the gym, and then afterwards I sat in the steam room to help my sinuses drain. My total time was 34:51. One of my slowest runs in a while, but I got my 20 miles for the week which is the farthest I've ran in a week in a very long time. Next week I'm going to go for 20 again, and I have a thanksgiving 5k too.

Today I ran 3 miles with my dad after I got off of work. My total time was 29:16. I felt pretty good. It was really windy out and it's always hard to go for a run when you've been on your feet for 12+ hours. Yesterday on my run I rolled my ankle a little bit and it's sore today, but I'm sure it will feel better in a couple days.

This morning I ran a half mile warm up, then I did the thanksgiving 5k. My goal was to be under 30 minutes, and I was!My time was 27:07, so I averaged about 8:43. I ran alot faster than I thought I could. I felt good, and it gives me a good idea of what shape I'm in for the next couple of 5k's I have coming up. After the race I did a mile and a half cooldown.

Yesterday I was too exhausted to run, so today I had to do 6 miles to get my 20 for the week. I took Aurora with me. We went to liberty park and it took me 1:02:13. I took it nice and easy. That's the farthest I've ran it once in a few years, so I felt pretty good about it. Next week I'm going to go up to 25 miles, and I'm going to footlocker with East High so that should be fun!
