I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004. Personal: I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again. |

| Today our bus left for footlocker. We stopped in St. George and ran. I ran 4 miles on the trail. My total time was 39:40.

| This morning I ran 4 miles from the hotel before we went to disneyland all day. My total time was 40:52. I took it nice and easy. I was tired from the long bus ride.

| We went to the course this morning, and I jogged most of it. I did 3 miles in 30:36. It's a really tough course. My two goals are to run the whole thing without walking and do it in under 30 minutes.

| This morning I warmed up about half a mile then I ran the race. My time for the race was 28:45. It was a really tough course, but I was able to do the whole thing without walking. It was really tempting to walk when others next to me were walking up the hills and maintaining the same pace as I was running but I did it. I also met my goal to be under 30 so I was really happy with my race. After the race I ran 2.5 miles cooldown very slow. Then I watched the seeded boys and Garek won which was really exciting!!! Then we had the long bus ride home which sucked, but it was a fun trip.

| Tonight after work I drove over to my Dad's house and we did 4 miles. My total time was 38:00. My left shin and right quad still hurt pretty consistently and it makes it hard to open up my stride, but my legs feel better when I do. I've been massaging them the past couple nights and stretching. I hope they stop hurting soon. It's hard to motivate myself to run when every step is painful.

| I took yesterday off because my shin was hurting pretty bad. Today I ran with my Dad. We did our traditional run to go get the christmas tree. It was 7.25 miles and it took me 1:07:48, which is 9:20 pace. It was my longest run so far, and my fastest. My legs felt pretty good. My left shin and right quad still hurt off and on during the run, but not so much that I slowed down.

| Tonight I met Demetrio at the Jordan river trail and we ran 6 miles. It took me 1:00:02. It was windy and raining, but at least it wasn't super cold. My quad and shin have still been hurting. At least the next two days I don't have to run as far, but I am working both days so I'll be on my feet alot.

| Tonight I ran after work from my house. I went 3.75 miles and it took me 37:37. My leg is still hurting quite a bit, so I also made a doctor's appointment. I'm going to take a couple days off and see how things go from there.

| After taking a few days off I ran 4 miles today. I ran to the gym and it took me 41:20. My legs felt sluggish from the days off. I'm going to focus on doing a little less miles and adding in some strength exercises to see if that helps my legs to stop hurting. After my run I did 3 sets of 6 slow climbers, 6 lunges, and 6 squats with 2 minutes in between each set.

| Today after work I did 3 miles around my neighborhood. It took me 31:32. My legs were super sore from the lunges and stuff yesterday. It shows how weak my muscles are and how badly I need to be doing those things. After my run I did 3x30 second wall sits and 3x30 second planks.

| Tonight after the end of my 62 hour work week I went to the gym and did 4 miles on the dreadmill. It took me 39:00. I felt pretty good about that because I usually run slower on the treadmill. After the run I did 3 sets of 6 lunges, 6 plank jump ins, and 6 shoulder taps with 2 minutes in between each set.

| This morning I did 3 miles on the treadmill. I was going to go outside but it started snowing really hard so I went to the gym instead. It took me 28:31. My cardio felt really good, and my legs only hurt a little bit. After the run I did 3 sets of 10 slow climbers, 10 plank jacks, 10 alt arm/leg raises, 10 donkey kicks, and 10 plank jump-ins with 2 minutes of rest in between each set.

| I ran one mile on the treadmill in 9:36, then I did 10 minutes on the elliptical, and 10 minutes on the bike. My leg was hurting so I didn't want to do too much running.

| After working all day I did the beat the new year 5k at sugarhouse park. The race started at 11:30 and it was about 5 degrees. It was freezing, but I over dressed and was really hot during the race. My goal was just to beat the new year since I haven't been running as much and I was pretty tired from work. It turned out to be my fastest 5k this year. My time was about 26:30 (there weren't timers). I beat the new year and it felt pretty good. Hopefully this next year will be even better, and I can get in shape and actually run closer to the way I used to.
