| Member Since: May 24, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: Pre-highschool: I loved to run and ran a few small local 5k's, but I did not run much on my own, besides junior high track.
Freshman year: I ran cross country and traied wih the team most of the summer. When the season started I ran 3 races including Murray Invitational. I got a huge PR there but after the race my foot hurt and I had a hard time walking. I ran on it for the next week but it was not getting better, so I went to a Sports MD and found out that i had a stress fracture. Becaue of that injury I missed the rest of the season. Then I ran track for my junior high but did not do extremely well.
Sophmore year: I trained hard over the summer and I got a 3 minute PR on my first race. I continued to PR, and had a good, injury free season. I ran indoor track an had some good PRs. I ran at simplot and had a great time. I did track and ran some goodtimes and cut my time down by 15 seconds, I was hoping that I could get low 5's in the mile, but I had fun and was able to race at the steepechase and have a fun time through out the season. At sophmore region I was able to PR in the 800 and I missed my PR in the mile by 2 seconds.
Junior year: I ran a little over 500 miles over the summer, but wasn't improving how I would have liked over the season. I was not consistant at all and was sick for aboout 3 races. I finally had a good race at region and dropped a 46 second pr. Track went well, I went sub-5 in the mile finally and got a PR in the 2 mile pretty easily. I didn't really hit the times I had hoped for throughout the season due to sickness and I just wasn't in it.
PRs:
800: 2:11
1600: 4:56.35
3200: 11:17.47
3 mile: 17:41
5k: 18:07 Short-Term Running Goals: Cross Country 2016:
Run 650 to 700 summer miles SUCCESS
Low 15's on the 5K and Sub 15 3 mile
Place at region and state
Go to footlocker nationals
Track 2017:
Sub 4:20 mile
Sub 9:15 on the 3200
Sub 2:00 on the 800
Sub 6:25 on steeple chase
Qualify for State, Arcadia, and Great South West, and become the best runner I can be. Long-Term Running Goals: Run cross country and track in college. Keep improving and just having fun. I'll probably run an ultra or two for the heck of it and to see if I like them. Personal: I'm a Senior at Weber High School. I am LDS and plan on serving a mission before college. Weber Vs. Northridge (3 Miles) 00:19:05 | | Race today we really worked on packing it up. Did well and stuck with Holden, Gavin, and Sam the first lap. I am not sure about my final time, so I kinda guessed. It was mostly grass and about a mile of the course was on a slope where one foot was below the other ad that made it hard, plus it was super hot. But our team did great and we swept the meet so that is great!

| | Did another one of Coach Hansen's crazy circuits and it was a lot of fun. Me, Addison, Paul, and Zolan ended up doing 8 sets of stairs and a ton of burpies and squats. Me and Addison are not the best at drawing easy workout cards at random. We had a great time. I I finally posted all of these workouts, sorry they have been so late because I have been crazy busy with the start of XC and school. I will do my best to update these daily.

| | Went on another crazy long run tonight with Jake, McKenna, and Henry. We ran up to the track where we found Kyler riding his scooter with a creepy mask. We talked to him for a minute then took his mask and ran to pointdexters house and scared him with the mask and comforted him because he got his wisdom teeth out the day before. After that we ran down to McGriff park and a couple peoples houses to scare them and then we ran to Henry's and back to the track before heading home. Jake ran most of the run with the creepy mask on and I apologize if we terrified anyone while he was chasing your cars... |

| | Today we did 16 x 400's, the most dreaded workout of the season. It was not at all as bad as I remember and I stayed positive the entire time. I went with the faster group and stayed with Gavin, Holden, and McKenna the whole time. My splits were 78, 79, 78, 77, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 80, 78, 79, 78, 77, 79, 75. I was supposed to be hitting 81's so I was pretty happy.

Herriman Invitational (3 Miles) 00:21:03, Place in age division: 41 | | Not a great race for me today and I was a bit dissapointed with my time. It was really hot and I think the course was different than last year. It was super dusty and I believe that slowed my time more than anything else. By the end of the race I was covered from head to toe in dust. It was a fun time overall and Me, Jake, Talon, and Addison got lost as we were walking the course an had to cut through bushes and go on a little rabbit trail where we saw a jackrabbit running, which was quite motivational. Shoutout to Connor Baller who gave me a shout-out on the starting line of the Varsity boys race!

The Chase (3 Miles) 00:18:28, Place overall: 12 | | City-county was canceled because it was raining and the fairgrounds did not want us destroying their grass. So instead we did a small race on our own that we call the chase. We did it on our time-trial course and I eded up getting a 4 second pr. The weather was perfect and I ran really relaxe. It was a lot of fun.

| | The Torch Run was today where we run a bunch of torches from whatever school we are playig for homecoming. Statrted the day off good with a nice 4.5 mile morning run with Henry. After school we all got on a bus and rode down to Northridge where we started the run. Everyone runs in a group of about 10 people a then hand off to another group after covering 2-3 miles and everyoneusually covers around 4-5 miles. My group was the 3rd one to run and we held a really fast pace on the first leg an averaged sub-6 for 2.75 miles. The bus left Jake and Talon at a store where they were using the bathroom and before me and Addison had noticed they were missing we were about 3 miles away. So we drove back to find them, but they we already running back and that is how Me, Jake, Talon, Addison, and Henry decided to run extra legs. So we ended up running 3 or 4 extra legs besides our 3. It was a blast!! We just talked a messed around the whole time an ended up averaging a 6:50 pace. I can't wait to do it again, I forgot how much I love high milage days.

| | Did a killer workout today as a team, we did 10 hill repeats up 500 W for a total elevation change of 1000 feet! I averaged a 1:34 pace up the 0.22 mile portion of the hill. We based our recvery off of our heart rate so it was super hard because mine recovered before I had even caugh my breath.

Weber Vs. Roy (3 Miles) 00:18:27 | | I did not race very well today, I was feeling good the first mile and a half and keeping with Gavin and Holden but I slowed down after it. I think I just need to relax and not worry about my race. My shulders push up as I am racing which wastes a ton of energy, so if anyone has any quick tips on how to fix that and relax that would be greatly appriciated. This next race I am going to focus on relaxing and my breathing and I'm sure it will help out. Before the race we went on long warm-up and Me, Talon, and Jake went on a cool-down through some neighborhoods after.
