| Member Since: May 24, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: Pre-highschool: I loved to run and ran a few small local 5k's, but I did not run much on my own, besides junior high track.
Freshman year: I ran cross country and traied wih the team most of the summer. When the season started I ran 3 races including Murray Invitational. I got a huge PR there but after the race my foot hurt and I had a hard time walking. I ran on it for the next week but it was not getting better, so I went to a Sports MD and found out that i had a stress fracture. Becaue of that injury I missed the rest of the season. Then I ran track for my junior high but did not do extremely well.
Sophmore year: I trained hard over the summer and I got a 3 minute PR on my first race. I continued to PR, and had a good, injury free season. I ran indoor track an had some good PRs. I ran at simplot and had a great time. I did track and ran some goodtimes and cut my time down by 15 seconds, I was hoping that I could get low 5's in the mile, but I had fun and was able to race at the steepechase and have a fun time through out the season. At sophmore region I was able to PR in the 800 and I missed my PR in the mile by 2 seconds.
Junior year: I ran a little over 500 miles over the summer, but wasn't improving how I would have liked over the season. I was not consistant at all and was sick for aboout 3 races. I finally had a good race at region and dropped a 46 second pr. Track went well, I went sub-5 in the mile finally and got a PR in the 2 mile pretty easily. I didn't really hit the times I had hoped for throughout the season due to sickness and I just wasn't in it.
PRs:
800: 2:11
1600: 4:56.35
3200: 11:17.47
3 mile: 17:41
5k: 18:07 Short-Term Running Goals: Cross Country 2016:
Run 650 to 700 summer miles SUCCESS
Low 15's on the 5K and Sub 15 3 mile
Place at region and state
Go to footlocker nationals
Track 2017:
Sub 4:20 mile
Sub 9:15 on the 3200
Sub 2:00 on the 800
Sub 6:25 on steeple chase
Qualify for State, Arcadia, and Great South West, and become the best runner I can be. Long-Term Running Goals: Run cross country and track in college. Keep improving and just having fun. I'll probably run an ultra or two for the heck of it and to see if I like them. Personal: I'm a Senior at Weber High School. I am LDS and plan on serving a mission before college. | | Ran with the team this morning, it was the first summer team practice and I was super excited and it was a nice run. About 5 miles, ran with Sam and Gavin on the way there an Jake Smith on the way back. Did 2 more miles tonight and I was just going to go at tempo pace, but I started runningand felt amazing. Something felt diffrent, it was the best run I have had in along time, it felt fun and like nothing could stop me. My first mile was a 5:56 and my second one was a 6:10.

| | I was going to do a Stepping Stone today at Mcgriff park. I ran there, and they were mowing the lawn and stuff there so I was not able to do it there. I then ran to Lomond View park to do to it there, but there was a bunch of lacrosse stuff going on. So I ran back home with out being able to finish my work out. I planed to do it later tonight, but I ended up working until 10. So hopefully I will be able to make it up in the next few days.

| | Great run today. I did what I was planning to to yesterday. I ran to McGriff park on the canal. Once I got there I did a 5 to 1 setpping stone (5 min. fast then 5 min slow, down to 1). After that I ran home. I had no idea how long it was going to be, but I was expecting around 7 miles, but it ended up 9.03.

| | I did an 8 mile long run this morning, I stayed at a decent pace but it hurt. On Monday I did a P90X Plyo workout after my run and I was definitely feeling it on my run today.

Ragnar (4 Miles) 00:30:36 | | I ran 4 miles this morning and was planning on doing 4 more tonight. Around 4:30 Addison called me and told me a runner on his Ragnar team was hurt and couldn't run. So I took his place got to run Ragnar after all!!! I did the 4 tonight and it was all up hill and hot, so it kinda sucked. | Add Comment |

Ragnar (8 Miles) 01:03:47 | | Who would have thought that 8 miles at 4 in the morning would be fun, but it was. Started off wondering if I was lost because us and the ultramarathon team were so far ahead. I came over a hill and saw a light it the distance, so that was a miracle. At this gate by the light I got stopped along with the ultramarathon runner and we had to wait because the volunteers did not know where we needed to go... So that was fun, but once we got going again me and the ultramarathon runner stuck together for the most part and talked and had a good time, it would have been extremely boring and creepy if he was not there because we were on random trails with possible rattle snakes. It was a perfect time to be running and the temperature was great. It was really fun to talk to the ultramarathon runner, who's name is Jeremy. We finished our leg together. Them me and my team cheered and rested then went to party at the finish. It was a really cool experience because we were the first team to cross the finish line. I will definitely be running there again next year. | Add Comment |
| | I did 6 this morning with the team. Did most of it with Addison, and for both of us recovering from Ragnar we did pretty good! Later tonight I did 3.25 with Jake.

| | Did 7 miles with Jake this morning. The first 2.5 were like straight up hill then we got on a trail. It was a really fun ran and was a good change from the normal routes. | Add Comment |
| | Did 8 miles with Jake this morning. We just ran around and freestyled our run until we hit 8. It was hard, but not to bad. It is much funner to be with people on long runs who can push you and help you stay on pace. | Add Comment |
| | I did 4 miles this morning with the team up the Ben Lomond switchbacks. Going up was slow and painful, but going down I went quite alot faster. I texted Talon a bit which was fun, I also went to the temple. I did 3.5 later tonight in Manti.

Later tonight I ran 3.75 with Jake. we did the Pleasant View 5k course and mapped it out for tomorrow. We did some strides after we finished.

Pleasant View 5K (3.107 Miles) 00:19:07 | | Raced this morning, I was kinda nervous because its the first 5k race I've done for a while so I did not know what to expect. I started out strong and my first mile was a 6:03.9, I trying to keep with Jake and Addison so i started out faster than I thought i was going to. My second mile was a 6:06.0 I did most of this mile with McKenna because I did not want to lose to a girl... She picked it up around mile 2. I did the 3rd mile in 6:42.0, that is the one that killed my time. Going up 500 hurt worse than it should have, and I just wasn't feeling it. Cooled down after by running to my house. Later tonight me and Addison did another 4.

| | Did 5 this morning, Levi ran with me and Jake for the first 3 and me and Jake finished it off with doing 2 more. Later tonight I did 3 more miles with Jake, he was really feeling it and hauled the whole way, I was trying as hard as I could to keep up because I had Pizza Pie for dinner and felt like death. We averaged sub-7, it was good that he was there to push me.
