| Member Since: May 24, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: Pre-highschool: I loved to run and ran a few small local 5k's, but I did not run much on my own, besides junior high track.
Freshman year: I ran cross country and traied wih the team most of the summer. When the season started I ran 3 races including Murray Invitational. I got a huge PR there but after the race my foot hurt and I had a hard time walking. I ran on it for the next week but it was not getting better, so I went to a Sports MD and found out that i had a stress fracture. Becaue of that injury I missed the rest of the season. Then I ran track for my junior high but did not do extremely well.
Sophmore year: I trained hard over the summer and I got a 3 minute PR on my first race. I continued to PR, and had a good, injury free season. I ran indoor track an had some good PRs. I ran at simplot and had a great time. I did track and ran some goodtimes and cut my time down by 15 seconds, I was hoping that I could get low 5's in the mile, but I had fun and was able to race at the steepechase and have a fun time through out the season. At sophmore region I was able to PR in the 800 and I missed my PR in the mile by 2 seconds.
Junior year: I ran a little over 500 miles over the summer, but wasn't improving how I would have liked over the season. I was not consistant at all and was sick for aboout 3 races. I finally had a good race at region and dropped a 46 second pr. Track went well, I went sub-5 in the mile finally and got a PR in the 2 mile pretty easily. I didn't really hit the times I had hoped for throughout the season due to sickness and I just wasn't in it.
PRs:
800: 2:11
1600: 4:56.35
3200: 11:17.47
3 mile: 17:41
5k: 18:07 Short-Term Running Goals: Cross Country 2016:
Run 650 to 700 summer miles SUCCESS
Low 15's on the 5K and Sub 15 3 mile
Place at region and state
Go to footlocker nationals
Track 2017:
Sub 4:20 mile
Sub 9:15 on the 3200
Sub 2:00 on the 800
Sub 6:25 on steeple chase
Qualify for State, Arcadia, and Great South West, and become the best runner I can be. Long-Term Running Goals: Run cross country and track in college. Keep improving and just having fun. I'll probably run an ultra or two for the heck of it and to see if I like them. Personal: I'm a Senior at Weber High School. I am LDS and plan on serving a mission before college. | | Slower long run tonight, I was at high adventure the past 2 days and was not able to run. It just made me realize how much I mised running when I couldn't do it, but it waas probally good because it let my blister start to heal. I was feeling pretty tired and was feeling sorta sick an low on energy, so it definately was not as fast as I was hoping. I've pretty much only eaten starches and simple sugars the past couple of days and have gotten minimal sleep, so it is good getting back home where I can control that stuff a bit better :)

| | Woke up this morning and did 3 miles before Cross Country camp. After we got up to Bear Lake for camp we unpacked and went on a run. Jake and Talon did 10, Addison did 9 and Henry, Me, Gavin, Will, Kyler, Mckenna, and some others did 8. It was one of the hardest long runs this summer and my average pace was really slow. Im hoping that is because of the heat, my watch said it was 92 degrees. Will ended up getting pretty cut up becasue as he was running back he was hit by a hay bale that was hanging off of a truck, which knocked him to the ground pretty hard, but he is ok so that is good.

| | Did a little .25 mile sprint on the beach this morning in our relay race and then enjoyed eating 6 marshmallows as fast as I could... Yuck! My team lost but it was fun anyways. When I got home I did 4 miles on the canal road but my blister was killing me! It got way bigger because of the long run in the heat yesterday, but what can you do right, you just keep going haha. Later tonight I did 3 miles barefoot around the park with Jake and McKenna and averaged a pretty good pace.

My splits were 2:50 for the first one, 2:47 for the second one, and 2:45 for the third one! We did a cooldown to Bates after. Later tonight I did a 3 mile run with Addison up in Paris mostly around the school and Tabernacle but throuch some neighborhoods and backroads also.

| | 3 miles this morning around Paris again, after Me and Addison did 4 X 30 second sprints on the street in front of the house. Later tonight we did an awesome 4 mile run down to the bird refuge. We stopped on the way there to look and some goats, which lead us to some pigs we chilled with them for a few minutes and then at some conviently placed porta-potties on the outskirts of town. On our way back we ran through the rodeo grounds and stopped at the pigs again, then found some poor dogs locked up in a cage.

| | 3 miles today when I got home from Bear Lake, I saw Henry running up 500 W so I chased him and eventually caught up after about a mile. We ran together for about a half mile before stopping to talk and eat blackberries and grapes. then I turned around and he kept going haha. I probally looked pretty crazy running back because my hands and face were covered and dripping with blackberry juice while I was running. Later tonight I was going to do 4 miles but I got invited to a Real Monarchs game where we got really great seats and dinner, and I couldn't pass that offer up.

| | Ran on the trails behind Weber state today with Talon, Paul, and Addison. We went 5.25 miles, when we got to the waterfall canyon Talon made us run up it even though the time was already up and we were supposed to be heading back, but we ran to the top and back down and I am glad they had me do it. Later tonight I just did 2.5 but ran into henry around half way and tallked to him for a minute.

| | Ran .5 mile before meeting up with Henry and Talon to run up 500 W for my 500th mile. It is 1 mile from bottom to top and about a 500 foot elevation change, so I thought it would bee perfect for my last mile. Talon really pushed me up it and I was able to get up it in 8 minutes and 10 seconds, the fastest I've ever made it. After we ran to my house and ate.

| | We decided that a great way to end off our summer training would be to run/hike up Ben Lomond peak. So Me, Jake, Talon, Gavin, and Addison me at 6 AM and started our journey, we only ended up hiking about a mile total, but we did stop and take quite a few breaks. It was super awesome and we passed some awesome people doing the Skyline 50K. It went well and besides Jake and Me tripping, Addison getting stung by a wasp, and Talon and Gavin almost attacking a Rattlesnake before it ran for its life. it was a great way to end the summer!

| | Ran up Little Mountian in Emigration canyon today with Addison. It was cool being able to run on the same trail the pioneers had to go on to get to where they were going. Addisons dad pionted out some awesome landmarks/artifacts (rock piles on hills that the pioneers hid behind when the army marched through incase they needed to defend themselfs) and made us some delishious sandwitches. None of us fell, but me and Addison scared a guy so bad that the slipped in the dirt (oops... sorry). Anyways, it was alot of fun and was a good longrun at the same time.

Weber Vs. Skyview (3 Miles) 00:18:42, Place overall: 17, Place in age division: 12 | | 1.5 mile warm up before the race. The race started out good, I powered up 500 and was doing good the first mile and a half. Around there my hip started bugging me for some reason and I don't know why! Anyways, it stopped hurting and I did well the rest of the race except I got passed by some kids at the end, so thats always irritating. After me and Addison went on a cool down with Ethan Field and Connor Compton, that was a lot of fun and they are super cool. Im glad that they are in our region this year and we get to party with them some more. Later tonight me and Jake went on a 3 mile run to release some of the pressure and my dissipointment from the race haha. Shoutout to Talon for demolishing the race and running a freaking 14:59, I still can't wrap my head around it!!!

| | Long run today, it was super hot but I did pretty well, me and Kyler ran most of it together along with another large group on the first half. I was sucking it up on the last mile and a half, but Kyler really helped out and pushed me on that part and kept me going. Im glad I have friends who are so motivational and will keep me moving.

American Fork Grass Relays (2 Miles) 00:12:16, Place overall: 124 | | 1 mile warmup. The race started out crazy! There was almost 300 kids in my race and it got super narrow after the first 100 meters. Some of the first corners were so crowded there was times I was full on walking/stopped!! In a Race!! Anyways, I was not able to reach my goal and was kinda upset with my time. But it was still fun. Shoutout to Talon again who ran the 3 fastest all time on that course and beat Casey Clinger!! Legend! later tonight me and Jake ran over to 500 W and did hill repeats because we are sick and tired of loosing haha. I ended up doing 5 and he did 8 because I ran home halfway through to use the restroom... and he's a beast.
