Short-Term Running Goals: Get the marathon under 2:20. Long-Term Running Goals: Make it to the Olympics in the marathon. Keep training throughout my life. Personal: I have five brothers and five sisters,

| | Did 5x2K in 5:55, 6:40 (up), 5:51, 6:36 (up), and 5:54. Total of 13 miles.

| | Today did the 2x4 workout again. Ended up with 19:50 and 19:54. In the second interval there was a fair bit of head-wind.

| | Did 3x2 miles in the canyon (2 down, 1 up). Got 9:50, 11:14, and 9:30. Given the last split, I probably was asleep on the uphill interval. I'm going to start doing more uphill intervals.

| | Did my mile pickup today uphill - got 4:55. This is the first time I've broken 5 going UP the canyon.

| | There was a decent bit of snow, so I did a nonstandard workout - 6 miles on an out-and-back course that started at my house. This course has a fair bit of hills and a couple street crossings. There also was a fair bit of snow on the road. Ended up with 32:35 (16:46 out and 15:49 back). Total of 16.

| | Did a workout in the morning (3x2 miles with two intervals uphill). It went well - 10:40, 9:55 and 10:34. Then paced Joseph and Jacob for a 2K interval in the afternoon. They both ended up with 6:46.

| | Today had a meeting in the morning, so was only able to do 12 in the morning. It was cold, but I still tried a workout (3x2 with two uphill intervals and one downhill). Ended up with 11:10, 9:57 (down) and 11:07. Added another 4 miles in the evening.

| | Did a workout - 2x2 in the canyon. Got 10:16 up (5:10 and 5:06), then 9:54 down (4:51 and 5:03). I wanted to break 5:00 average but the wind interfered. Pretty happy about the uphill result.

| | Did 2x1 mile fast down the canyon - got 4:35 and 4:38. My legs were pretty sore afterwards.
