| Instead of going to DSU track, a couple of my neighbors and I ran over the Desert Hills Track. It is about .75 miles from my house. We jogged around the track until we reached 1 mile, then did a few stretches& strides. Then 800s w 400 jogging recovery. I was going to do 8 or 9, by # 5 they felt so hard that I thought I'd just do 8, but when I got through with that eighth one, I decided I could do 1 more. Tough workout and I was basically all alone on these since my neighbors were running a totally different pace. Also 81 degrees this morning at 6 am!!! We are getting to the hottest time of year and it doesn't cool off below 80. It'll be nice to go north to Bear Lake.
After the 800s, we ran 1 mile back to our neighborhood. No bleachers today, although these high school bleachers would have been way easier than the college ones.

| Ran back from beach spot at the north beach to Dad's house in St Charles. This was at about 7 pm and it was warm. Paul was so nice to drive back and bring me water because he knew I had none. Also, my stomach was a little heavy from all the beach snacks, crossaints, chicken salad, etc. I still had an ok pace:ave 8:30

| I picked up some sort of bug at bear lake and had no energy for about 3-4 days, so I didn't run at all sat-tues. I was feeling a little better so I decided to go for a tempo run around the trail and Bloomington hills. It was super hot- about 81 degrees I think. I did alright with my splits considering the heat and the hills. I need to remember to always bring water. Mile splits: 9:06, 7:35, 7:51, 7:48, 7:43, 9:12

| Snow canyon. Ave pace- 9:03. This was tough after 2 weeks of not much running, but I'm glad I made it. It was so beautiful!

| St George running club tempo run. This was only the second time I have made it to this run. It was a tough workout, but felt good. First a 1.5 mile warmup, then 5 mi tempo, then 1.5 cool down. My splits for the tempo were: 7:38, 7:45, 7:35, 7:26, 7:42(hill)
