I never get allergies but I've been battling them the last few days so I took yesterday off.  Thought I would experiment with running and going to the gym the same morning.  Drove to the LPT and warmed up with a mile then ran 4X1/2 mile at 5k pace with 1/4 mile jog in between.  Splits were: 3:00, 2:57, 2:58, 2:59.  Last one was a struggle but I guess it is supposed to be. Ran 1 mile cool down then drove home, changed my clothes and went to Firehouse.  Fortunatley, today's exercises were focused on strength so I didn't have to kill myself cardiovascularly.  The workout did include 2 runs which I tood relatively easy.
