Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc. 

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Took the Tram/Train to Murren (no cars allowed!) It's a cute little town that sits on a cliff above the Lauterbrunnen Valley 

PM - Hiked up to the Schilthorn. The first half was really great and the views were spectacular, but the second half we got stuck in the clouds and only had about 20 second of seeing anything but clouds. We tookthe tram down.

AM - Ran 6 miles with Jake - Murren to Grutschalp and back. Legs were tired!

PM - Murren to Gimmelwald (not to be confused with Grindelwald) Via Ferrata. We were really nervous about doing our first via ferrata but it turned out to be pretty easy. This one had a couple really exposed sections and also a few cables bridges. Then we stopped by Staubbach Falls in Lauterbrunnen and on to Chamonix.

Took the Flegere / Index lifts up and hiked across the mountain on the north side of the valley. First to Col du Lac Cornu and then to Planpraz, where we took another lift back down to the valley. At first we were bummed because it was foggy out so you couldn't see anything, but after a couple hours the skies cleared up and it made the views that much sweeter!

PM - Took the cable car up to Aguille du Midi and hung out up there for a few hours. Really incredible!

AM - Took the Flegere/Index lifts then hiked to Lac Blanc, then up above the lake, then to Lacs des Cheserys, and back to the Flegere refuge. One of the best hikes I've ever done!

PM - Lots of walking around Chamonix and had dinner in the town.

AM - Took the lift up to the top of Grand Montets for great views. Then hiked from Lognan out to the Argentiere Glacier. We listened to a little bit of a jazz concert at the base of the glacier before making the (long) drive to Malcesine.

AM - Mamma Mia Canyoning with Diego of Canyon Adventures. One of the most fun things I have ever done! The canyon required a combination of sliding, rapelling, and jumping into small pools of water. We finished and wanted to do it all over again!

PM - 5 miles along the lake in Malcesine with Jake.

AM - Took the tram up to Monte Baldo and hiked along the ridge. We were planning to hike to one of the rifugios but got lost after 45 minutes and decided it was too far. We saw the best part anyway :)

PM - Lots and lots of walking in Malcesine and along the lake. It is a beautiful place to walk along the shore and relax.
