Had planned on taking the ski lift down so after a baguette and cheese and a tiny beer I went to the ticket counter and saw that the ticket seller was on siesta. The sign said please buy ticket in Chamonix which is 3000+ feet below wtf? I really didn't want to go down and destroy the progress I'm making on my itband, but I didn't want to wait 2 hours because this is my only day in Chamonix and there are many mini cakes to eat! If this didn't destroy me for the Cortina Trail I should be good to go!
