Nice early morning run with CR on my new favorite, Park City's Armstrong Trail.

I think I really need to mellow out on the running. I am just stoked I can do things! This has been my progression for the last 7 weeks: 2, 6, 7, 10.5, 12.5, 16, and 18 miles (with 14 miles in the last 2 days). Pretty exponential so I am going to take an easy running week and focus on some cycling and get my mountain bike out of the closet.

A down week after several building weeks always helps and is generally a good idea that most of us ignore... but that being said, I don't think you are progressing TOO quickly. I think what you are doing is just right. Its been a really smart progression!

The fact that you can stack back to back days like you just did and aren't broken means you have been doing things the right way. You've gotten yourself to a great place - back to somewhat normal and stoked up! :-)

Thanks Jake!

Well I didn't say I wasn't broken :) The hip is fine, but my lower legs and feet - yikes!

That's just soreness from not having used your feet like that in so long. Stress --> Adapt.

Ice bucket the feet/shins.

Armstrong and Pinecone are my two favorite trails up there

Amiee, such a great job on your running! I ran on the trails from PCMR last week for the first time ever and got lost trying to find Armstrong...I heard it was the best one to ascend. It was just so, so amazingly beautiful up there. No surprise it is your new fave. :-)

So good to see you running again. :)
