AM: 2 miles on the TM just for fun! Hip surgery #2 scheduled a week from today. I cannot wait to get it over with and officially get on the up and ups. I am now soliciting ideas for how to stay sane the second time around!

PM: Kettlebell workout and 5 apartment/stairs laps on crutches.

Well, that totally sucks that you have to have surgery again. Yuck! How long until you can get back on your bike? Can you swim? Start hiking as soon as you can. Good luck!

Get in all the exercise you can for the next week!!

Are you going to be in a hip brace?

From Lulu Walls on Thu, Jan 10, 2013 at 11:20:03 from 155.100.217.244

I will be on crutches for 6 weeks, but think I can get on the stationary bike after about 2 weeks. Should be able to get back out on the road bike and hiking by mid-March. Perfect in time for Spring. No hip brace, just drugs.

I want to try and get all the excercise in that I can, but I keep being warned that I am probably making everything worse :( Also, I kind of wonder what the point is besides working my arms to get crutch ready.

Hopefully not the Philippon brace!

My employees recently taught me to knit and it is actually a great passed time. You should try it.

Or we could set up a crutch running race between you and Jake. :)

That would have to be a backward crutch running race :)

I do need to step up my knitting. I can only knit squares and rectangles. It would be neat to get into hats or mittens :)

I have a pair of gloves that have a tiny little hole in them. Maybe you can fix those for me when you move in? I've been talking about it since mid-december, but Andrea hasn't allowed me to have my own needle and thread yet.
