I got the nicest compliment from an FRBer yesterday. A fellow hip sufferer said that the admired by attitude and drive. If she only knew :) I think I have actually done quite well this first month. But honestly, having to go through this a second time is really tough and I know that the next month will be the toughest. It has been nearly 2 years since I have really been able to do the things that I enjoy so much it kinda breaks my heart. Wouldn't a sane person give up by now? I guess I just want to thank everyone for their kind words and put out an innocent plea to keep them coming because now is when I am going to need those lovely words of encouragement the most!

I think you are a great mom to Frank.

Just stick with what your PT and Dr tell you to do. I am positive that it's going to come together for you. You really do seem to have a really good attitude. I love that in people. When you are able, we can bike or hike! Please let me know!!!! :) Happy Friday! Did you decide on a Lent for real?

From Lulu Walls on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 09:20:31 from 155.100.9.11

@Jake - :)

@Lily - Thanks for the kind words. Want to pencil me in for a hiking date say mid-April? Oh and no sweets for real!

From Lily on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 09:22:13 from 67.199.178.95

Ok, mid April it is!

Is it blasphemy for me to start Lent 2 days late? I haven't had any sugar today. Dang V-day threw me off!

From Lulu Walls on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 14:21:46 from 155.100.9.11

Is it blasphemy to quit 2 days in?

I really want a cookie :(

From Lily on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 14:25:48 from 166.137.210.48

I'm at Harmons right now walking past the cinnamon raison cookies. This is hard!

From Lulu Walls on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 14:27:59 from 155.100.9.11

Just as I read your comment someone walked into my office yelling, "I got treats!" with a big plate of cookies. Seriously?!?

From Lily on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 14:36:05 from 166.137.210.48

So, did you give in? This is rough, but oh boy, my figure will thank me later. Coooooookies!

From Jake K on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 14:37:08 from 155.100.226.191

I'm pretty sure Swedish Fish have Omega-3s

From Lily on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 14:38:30 from 166.137.210.48

Ha!

From Lulu Walls on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 14:40:11 from 155.100.9.11

Of course I didn't give in!

And yes Jake, Swedish Fish have Omega-3s but only when dipped in Omega Swirl.

A sane person would have thrown in the towel and stayed in bed with a bottle of Xanax beside them for the past 18 months. You're not sane. You're an athlete.

From Jake K on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 14:44:56 from 155.100.226.191

That stuff is delicious by the way. I never would have figured.

From allie on Fri, Feb 15, 2013 at 16:49:18 from 97.117.83.221

long live the omega swirl.

since i looove piling on, i will join in and say that i agree -- you have had a great attitude through all of this. i can't imagine how difficult it must be, especially with it being the second time, but every time i've seen you you've been happy, upbeat, and looking great. seriously, cooking brunch for a bunch of sweaty/smelly people while on crutches? do you know what i did when i was on crutches? i sat on my porch and cried and threw tomatoes at james as he ran by. attitude makes all the difference in life, and you have a great one. the granny in me says: "you are a good egg."

From Lulu Walls on Sat, Feb 16, 2013 at 23:20:10 from 166.70.240.95

Thanks Allie! But I do have to admit that I cussed at a few cyclists out in the sun today and chucked my crutches into a snowbank once or twice :) No matter who you are injuries suck and add a level of stress that affects all areas of your life no matter how sane or well adjusted you are going in to it.
