a.m.- met ruthie and green up at the track at 5:30, ran a two lap warm up and headed to arctic circle (3mi).  My foot is not good at all, it started hurting by the end of my warm up and was doing significantly worse by the middle of my run. 

 

afternoon- two lap warm up, my foot wasn't doing any better.  I ran around barefoot in the softball field for a while, probably getting in a good half mile.  My foot is awkward to run on and it feels really weak.  I am icing it right now, probably for about 15- 20 min.

foot was feeling a little better until i ran on an awkward slope and then it came back.  ran to catherine's then up to the park and back home.

Ran a big grass loop, foot pain, walked a little grass loop, ran another big grass loop, more foot pain.  It is healing but is not better yet.

Didn't run at all even though there was a track meet.  Small confession:  It has been nice having a break from track, stresswise and all.  It let me get a lot of stuff done with a lot less to worry about.  Although I think I am about done with this pathetic little break of mine.  I feel lazy and not as healthy.  I feel like one of "those" people, you know, the people who don't run and I feel lame because I am not out there working my butt off every day.  Hopefully I can get back into it by the end of this week.

Ran dogpound by myself.  It was hard for me again and kind of hot.  My hip flexor feels a little weak, like it is vulnerable but I haven't had any pain for while.  I could feel my foot just a little bit but not bad at all.  Its good to be running again!

Meet in Moapa today, I didn't run anything because I haven't been up and training for long.  I did randomly decide to throw the shotput (22' 8") and the discus (53' 9").  I ran two warm up laps on the track with the team and then ran around randomly with some people, so I probably got in a mile.

Ran down riverside dr, turned right on mall drive and ran all the way up until red cliffs drive.  turned right and ran down to 2450, all the way down that street and then home.  Im not sure how far that was exactly but i knew it was in between 3 and 5 miles.  I felt really good today, the weather was AWESOME for running.

Grass loops! 

1. 5:27, pushed it a little, but it wasn't bad at all

2. 5:37, felt like I was working a lot harder but got a worse time

I was running on an extremely globbed peanut butter and jelly sandwhich along with cottage cheese and wheat thins and also about 8 gummy orange sugar things which were good but painful later.

Each time I felt like I was doing a lot worse so I would try to push it to get an okay time but I actually wasn't doing that much worse anyway.

2 mile cool down, middle school run with ruth.  It was blazing hot today, this cool down felt like death.  I felt heavy and weak.
