7am- early shakeout run around sandy. I felt really good and chill. my legs felt nice and loose and ready to destroy. I got a nice breakfast, we didnt have to leave till like 1030 so I hung out, drank some water. A lot of water. It was really windy when we got to the park and that worried me a bit cuz I dont like wind at all when I run. Chilled and watched races and tried to stay relaxed and ready to go.

130pm- 3A State boys

We got all warmed up and headed to the start. we got some striders in and prayed and jeez the countdown thing they do gets my adrenaline up for real. The plan for the race was to start out slower (not really my style) and stick with Carson, get him starting a little faster, and then stick with him as he moves up throughout the race. At like 150 meters mitch got tripped and preston ran into him but he bounced right back up. Carson was right behind me, skylar was right in front of me acrossed the top after the cement. I was nervous starting that far back but me and carson got moving good down the flower bed hill and caught up to skylar up the steep hill. I fell off Carson across the top hill after the pond. I was fighting hard but it wasnt happening. Skylar got around me and stayed a steady distance in front of me through most of the new section of the course. It was tough. I had a rough finish, my heart just dropped when I glanced at the time but my dissapointment was short lived. I looked over and saw my brother with the finish tape over his shoulder and found we got the second place trophy so I was pretty happy

We took some pictures and got a beast trophy. I was way happy that nick did so beast. I cant really beat my self up to much because hey ive had a not good season but I did as much as I could so I have to accept it and get better. Ive got 2 and a half more years left so no stress. and I doubt we'll be 2nd for much longer
