| | YAY!!! first day of team practice!!!!! honestly so exciting. There were so many be faces and I met so many new people. We ran up into the desert with a solid group of girls. Missing a few due to being out of town, but this year is absolutely going to be amazing. So glad to be running with my bestest friends :) 30 min | Add Comment |
| | Very nice run today :) half on the grass. I love running on the grass. It honestly feels so refreshing. I love striders as well they help me feel strong and I love to work on form. My form is going to become so much better this year. I'm going to concisely work on it cause I know it will make me better//kids club was a blast. 5-6 girls will be lots of fun had a smaller group of 14 girls and I got to know all of their names. | | Well, today was a little but rougher than usual. Ran up into the desert (turtle trail) we had a group of 6ish girls but I kinda fell off going up one of the hills. Had a hard time getting back up to the pack. So me and Jada ran together and had a good convo. Jada is so fun and awe she's gonna be a beast. | | 30 minutes with 5 minutes striders. Much better run today :) felt a lot better than yesterday! Our group was a lot better and we stayed together like the whole run. | | Run at Sullivan :) it was a very strong run for me today. We did rollercoasters it was a fun experience I've never done them before. We had a pretty huge group of girls before some of them flipped. I had a really big mental battle with myself today. Running up all the hills and then the fast finish on the road. I think a lot of the reason why I fall of is because I forget to think/I loose all my focus. I started to fall off with like 10 minutes and I just ran slow for a few minutes I felt like I was dying and yeah then I told myself I can do this I can run with them. Robert's told me your legs will do whatever your mind allows them to do. So I started to pick up my cadence and focused on finishing hard. I finished with the girls. | | Mustang pass with pyper, Sarah, ry, Jess, Brianna, Alli, Rachel, brynlii, and coach Holt :) my legs are surly feeling a week of running. We had 3x3 minute pickups. It felt so nice to pick it up. | | First "workout" of the year!!! We did tempo up at the dirt mile. I did 20 min. Started pretty strong and with the pack. Fell off though due to loosing focus. It's like for one second I forget to push and then I'm gapped really far. But I cut the corner to get with the girls and made a really strong push to stay with them for the last 5 min. I totally did. | | Jeez today was just one of those days. I kinda just fell apart after we hit Sullivan. Pick ups were good but I just died. Like Roberts was telling me i really need to commit to endure the physical pain of running. Struggled through the last half of the run. Totally fell off the pack. A lot was learned from this run. | | Not really sure on distance cause I forgot to stop my watch. But we did half on the road and half on the grass it was a much more solid rub then yesterday. Lots of fun laughing and joking around. | | I don't really know what to say. I had a good chat with Gracie. she's super cute and I'm so glad she's on the team. But I let myself fall off the pack again. I need to pull myself together and get with them. I have lots of big goals for myself and I know that they will be achieved through hard work. Physical and mental. | | Today was 100% better than the last few days. We had a 50 min hilly run. Last night I assessed some of my goals and what I need to do to get there. I have committed to do some pretty big things. And one of those is to start and finish with the pack. Today I did pretty good! I died a little in the middle of the run but joined back up and finished really strong. Much stronger run. | | Today's run was stellar. Me Josie Ellie Alli maycee and Rachel all met together. We ran out towards Warner valley. My legs actually felt wonderful!!! I stayed with jos and ell practically the whole time and when u fell off I found myself fighting to get back with them. Very good mental and physical fight today. | | Today's run was all over the place. We ran into green springs and I just kept falling behind. But ya know as I was thinking I wasn't in any pain. I wasn't seeking to become better or anything. So we stopped at the park and from then on I was determined to stay with the girls even if it meant feeling pain which is something we should want to feel. I felt wonderful on all the pickups. Running fast really feels good. Last 10 min were a real struggle but I feel like I finished pretty strong. Overall really happy with this run. Figuring out how to embrace the pain and struggles that accompany the joy of running. Loved having jacey and Jess and Caroline pack felt good to run with a pack!!! | | tempo today :) super super good. we started with some team visualization led by Colton, that was really good. we did tempo at the dirt mile. we had such a solid pack of girls. It was so good to have pyper, Alli, and Sarah up pushing with us saw a lot of strong efforts. It was also nice to have some of the guys running with us. It made our pack a lot stronger. Coach Holt also shared lots of wisdom that was super helpful. I was digging for like the first 15 min then I started to struggle. I told myself that I could stop at 20 if I stayed with the pack. totally wish I didn't cause I totally set a limit on myself. Got to 20 and stopped but I wish that I kept going.
