2nd Year of XC (Senior Year). My best races thus far have come from Nike Regionals down in Pheonix (5K), the Dixie Invitational (800), and the Davis Invitational (1600). I took 8th place in the 1600 and 11th in the 800 at 3A State. Also at state we were in the slower heat of the Sprint Medley and ended up taking 3rd overall, that was pretty legit.

After high school and my mission I think that it would be really cool to get into the St. George Marathon. That is one thing I would like to accomplish in my lifetime. Hopefully I will be able to do multiple. In all I would just like to enjoy the time I run and have some fun experiences with it.

Kosmin Test.. Basically a race day. I was kind of confused on what was going to happen with this whole test and I really just wanted to do well and do the best that I could physically do. I can honestly say I gave it my all. I finished with 808 meters and an equivalent 800 meter time of a 2:01. This was a great confidence builder for me. I loved this workout and I can't wait to run my first 800 race in March. Only good can come from this test! Great day!

Old man hills! I was ready for any hills I was just hoping for some little hills though. I had 4X400 and I ran right around a 1:11 every time. I felt super good and gave me confidence for my 400 and 800 times!

5 miles and throw a 5:15 pace in there. It was super tough to hit that pace. I ran with Mike and Byron and we averaged 5:32, next week can only be better. Looking forward!

We had 4X1000 and I was supposed to be right around 3:18 each time and I actually hit my times today. I am sure Coach was very proud! First one was a 3:20, Second one was a 3:15, Third was a 3:16 and the fourth and final one was a 3:19. It was a good day to be on the track and I felt good. Lifting went well also. Very good day to be on PVXC/Track!

All I got to say is HOLY CRAP! But it was a good run, I felt pretty good for about half of the tempo but my stomach was jacked. For just a little less than half of my tempo was probably a little slower than I should have been going but overall it was good. Morning practice was good as well, good to be running in the morning!

Changed it up a little bit and decided to go to green springs instead and do some fartleks. We did 2 60 second fartleks and 1 120 second fartlek. It was good and I felt good, legs a little tired and tight but I will get used to all this speed. Great day!

Rainy day in STG but did our LT tempo anyway, I averaged around a 5:50ish pace. It definitely wasn't my best that is for sure but looking on the bright side there is always next time. I just wasn't mentally there and my legs were kind of tight but I will get that all figured out by our next tempo on wednesday. Looking forward to it.

Morning run and after school we did our 4X1000 workout on the track and I needed to average a 3:13 pace and my first one I got a 3:14, second one I got a 3:15, third was a 3:13 and the last one was a 3:11. Good workout, felt good despite the cold wind chill!

Out on the Temple Quarry Trail. It was good, little cold but I felt good. They should call it Ankle Break Trail. Lots of rocks dodged and made it off the trail with no ankle breakage so it was a good day!

3 miles in the morning. Slow pace and it was nice, felt good! For the afternoon we had our AT pace which was 5:40 for myself for 24 minutes. Started off well, ran with Michael for majority of it. I tried to stay with him or else I was gonna fall off. The last part mentally I was having a hard time but stuck it through and did pretty good. I felt good and averaged around 5:35 and under for the pace. These are getting easier as we do them more so that is a plus.

Ran 6 miles. Did old man hills in the middle if it. 4X400.. My first was a 1:10ish, 2nd was a 1:12, 3rd was a 1:10 and last one was 1:11. Felt pretty good! Lifting was good as well. I need to stretch more and keep my legs not so right but it's been a good week!

Good day for 4X1000. I was supposed to hit each one at 3:09. I hit my first and second at 3:08, my third was a 3:09 and my last one was a 3:06. It was a good workout. The thousands continue to get tougher and tougher but so do we. I felt good, legs were a little tight but it was a good workout.

Usual 3 in the morn. Afternoon had our 30 min tempo pace around 5:40 pace. I was able to keep the pace till about the turnaround and then it was all really crappy from there. Nice 3 in the morning. Little cooler, legs a little tight. Afternoon we ran down to the bottom of where we begin our Old Man Hills. My legs were feeling super heavy on the way there but didn't bother me during the workout. My 800 was a 2:37, kept a good pace but started falling back a little towards the end.. Just gotta get used to that 800 hill pace. My first 400 was a 1:07, fastest on the hill so far this season. My second 400 was a 1:12, just needed to push a little harder at the end but it was good. Next was the 200's. My first was :33, second was a :37, third was a :34 and fourth and final one was a :33. Felt pretty good afterwards although my legs were tired and caused a slower run back to the high school. Need some good food and some good rest to recover but the overall day was a success.

Nice 3 miler in the morning to wake up. The afternoon was in sight and I felt a little nervous for the time trial.. I had never ran a 800 before. I had heard that you need to take out fast and go hard the first lap and even harder the second lap. The time came to line up at the line and get ready for my first 800. With Coach starting us I took off and got out fast, maybe a little too fast. I felt good the first 400 and came in with a 1:01. That kept confidence of reaching my Kosmin test time of a 2:01. Right after the 500 meter curve I could feel myself slowing down and my legs were a little harder to lift. Eager to finish I pushed through the pain finishing my last 100 meters strong and finishing with a 2:08. I was first of the group and now is the time to watch that time improve. Got some experience now I just need to run my next one smarter and see how it goes. It was good to finally run a 800, my legs didn't feel too bad afterwards either so that was a plus. Good day!

Good Morning run with the usual of 3 miles. For after school we had our AT tempo pace for 30 minutes which was a 5:40ish pace. This was in the middle of an 8 mile run. I first off made sure I was on empty before I left the school if you know what I mean. I was a little nervous after having stomach problems last week. As the tempo started I got right into the pace. I felt good and relaxed, my goal was too just stick it through the workout and finish just as strong as the start. Getting used to the trail the run to the turn around didn't seem very long and that was good. I kept with Mike because I knew we would reach our pace. The way back went pretty fast too and if there was ever a thought in my mind of slowing down I would just tell myself only 800 meters to go. Passing where we started I felt that I should really push and be sure not to fall off. As we made it back to the main road it was only Mike and I and we finished it off strong with an average pace of 5:40. It was a great workout. I felt good the entire time and felt like my form was pretty good from start to finish. Definitely better than last week. Another great day to be a runner.

Very nice and slow morning run. It's always nice to take a morning run easier and give our legs a break. The afternoon was an easy 8 mile run and it had been awhile where I ran with Mike, Casey and Byron the whole time. It felt good, I was a little tired at the end but legs felt good for the most part, little tight but not bad. Good to get the mileage in. Just a good day all around!

The usual three in the morning! Then after school we had something that was new for me at least. We had 8X200, I needed to be hitting a 32 on every one of them. The first one was a 34 then the second one was a 33 and the rest of them were either 32's or 31's. It was a good workout, wasn't all that bad of a workout either, good day!

Today we had a 6 miler with a LT tempo in there which is supposed to be right around a 5:20 for me. I started out pretty well for the first mile and a quarter then we had a little uphill and I fell off of the pack and it was hard to push alone. We figured my pace was right around 5:35, definitely could do better. I think it was from lack of food/energy, next week will be better.

Went and did Old Man Hills today. It was pretty good too. I had 4X400 and 2X200. I was feeling pretty good from sunday's break off. My first 400 was a 1:09, second was a 1:10, third was a 1:13 and fourth was a 1:09. Those went pretty well, the third could use some work but pretty consistent on the times. My 200's were both a 34. The workout was a success. Glad I could get out with the boys and get it done. Afternoon 3 miles by my lonesome, good run though.

Usual three in the morning.. legs feeling a little tight, throat kind of sore. For the afternoon it was repeat day. We had 4X1000 and then 2X300 at our fast pace. I was looking for a 3:15 on my 1000's. My first was a 3:15, second was 3:14, third was 3:16 and fourth was 3:15. Next was our 300's, the first was a :41, the second one was a :44. They had full recovery in between so not too bad at all. The workout felt good, my throat didn't really bother me so it was a good day.

It was super good and ran a pretty good pace talking to Krenny and Mikey. Legs are tight however so stretching is needed but definitely a good day a good run!

HALF MARATHON! I had never ran 13 miles so I was a little nervous but I felt pretty good about it. I had not been feeling all that great a few days before and the night of but I woke up feeling a little better and headed over to Mikes then we headed to the buses. After the buses dropped us off we ran our warm-up with the rest of the team. It was a little chilly but I was ready and determined to do my very best. We lined up and the start for what seems like a half and hour. As the had said to start I went to push "start" on my watch and my freaking watch says FILE FULL. I was ticked but just looked at the clock and based my time off of that. Not having my watch I have no idea on my mile splits. We started off pretty fast and were together till we entered into Hell's Canyon and Mike and the boys got a little ahead. Jason and I ran together till around the little tiny hill going onto the Dam Road and I fell back a little bit. Going down the Dam Road I felt like I was getting farther and farther behind but I wasn't going to let that stop me. I tried to keep the distance between Jason and I the same and up and around Nicole's Peak I fell off some more. I then heard Coach yelling at me telling me to get going and have faith that I could get back up with Jason. It took me awhile to do it but as we went up Majestic Hill I made some ground on him, not much but just enough to feel good. Going down towards Staheli Farm I passed him and I just kept it rolling after that. I knew I was getting close and all I could think of is that there was only a 5K left and that seemed like nothing so I kept running along till I came within 400 meters and I could see everyone and what looked like the finish and a great Coach waiting for me. I sprinted in to the finish with the help of Holt and I was tired as can be but I had done it. It felt so good! I took 8th overall and 3rd in my age group, it was a super good experience. I am really glad I did it!

5 miles in the morning, felt good! In the afternoon we did the decathalon training and had 4 miles with striders. It was kind of nice to do something else other than running, but running is still my favorite.

In the morning we had the Kosmin test. It was our second and it was a little chilly. Last time I got 808 meters with an estimated time of 2:01. I was just hoping to get that again or better. I took off the first lap but I didn't get to where I got in the first Kosmin test. I just wasn't feeling it, the second one started and I didn't quite make it 400 meters. My estimated time this test was a 2:03 with only going 795 meters. Little upset with the way I performed but onward and upward. I know I can get that 2:01. The afternoon we just had an easy 3 miler with the decathalon.

Easy three miles in the morning as usual. The afternoon was a 20 minute tempo at AT pace during an 8 miler. I ran almost all of the tempo by myself. Not sure on my time because the pace said I was going 5:36ish to 5:37ish but then the lap time was like 5:55. I was super confused, I was using Paul's watch so I wasn't familiar with it. It felt faster than 5:55 though. It was a good run though!

Went on an extremely nice 3 miler and it felt really good and I'm excited to get rolling again. I'll possibly update the rest of my days from March 11th.. we'll see. Pretty dang good day!

Nice easy mileage, woke up early and ran with Skylar (little brother) he turned around after .5 and so I just used that as if it was my grass warm up and ran 3 miles after that. I felt really good, legs feel great. After the run I went and had to get some dunk ball in, Mike and I are unstopable.. Krenny on the other hand.. well we will just leave it at that. Wonderful Day!

VO2 test today up on the dirt mile.. 15 minutes hard and I really wanted to push it so if I felt tired I would try to surge and give it a little push. My first mile was a 5:09. Second mile was a 5:23 and I didn't quite make it back around for a mile 3 time. My total mileage was 2 miles and 1327 meters. After a lap and a half I was alone and I really had to use some mental power to stick it in there to continue to push. I felt good even though it was super tiring. My calves were tight right after.. going to stretch them real good and roll. I'm excited for tomorrows workout.. going to be a great week!

Today we did our 30/30 workout and it was definitely tons harder compared to last weeks. We actually recovered as we were supposed to and it made all the difference. We went from 40 last week to 20 this week. Legs were feeling good I was tired though after about 15. I think I could possibly stuck it in for a few more but that is what next week is for!

Went on a run before the run. I went 4 miles by myself around 6 o clock because I had work at 9. Then at practice at 7 I ran out two miles then flipped it to make it a solid 4 miler. It was hot but the run before the run all my miles were under 7:00 and I was feeling good. Then the actual run felt good as well we went a little slower which was nice for the occasion! P.S... This was such a sweet run! Hunter Kimzey, Byron Warby, Krenny Yazzie and myself went on a night run at 10:00. It was different and man was it a good difference. I liked how it was cooler outside.. well only 95. But I knew of a house that is vacant most of the year so we went swimming there for a little bit which was legit. Just a great run with some yummy sonic shake afterwards!

We had our mile repeats up on the dirt mile. We had 4. My goal time was a 6:38 and my times were 6:17, :35, :34, :31. I felt good and Byron and I had some good convo rolling. I don't mind the slower pace gives me a chance on form. We did 7 miles total in the morning.

We started our afternoon stuff today. We did easy 3 to arctic circle and that was good amid the heat. Then we had lifting and it felt soooo great to get back in the weight room and begin building more strength. All together was a great day to be a Panther!

AM: Practice today we had our dirt mile repeats which weren't too bad. We had 5 of them at the goal time of 6:38. Ran with Byron and Coach, hit 6:21, :32, :32, :31, :31. It felt good and we finished up practice with 8 miles. 

PM: Weights today no afternoon run because of the 5K later.

RACE: Got to the church and found the guys and ran a 1 mile warm up and I felt pretty warm. Coach showed up just in time to help pull Byron and I to fast times. We started and we were cruisn' I don't think I have ever started a 5K that fast. I had my doubts at the start.. Didn't know if I could hold this pace or close to it to get that fast time I wanted. After the first loop around St. James I was feeling better. I got some water splashed on me and took the lead for a second, it felt weird to take the lead but a good weird. I settled back into the pace with Coach around the turn and he really got me moving again going up the backside of the neighborhood. I was feeling good but tired, I knew that there wasn't too much left in the race. I followed Coach through the crowds of walkers and then I moved up to the lead for the final road to the finish line. At this point in time I didn't know if anyone was close to me but I really wanted to push cause I saw sub 16:00 in sight. I pushed and pushed till I saw the steeple of the church which was a big boost knowing that I was that close. Then amid the dark sky I could see the finish and I gave it one last push and finished with a 15:48 a new PR and I was very pleased.... and exhausted.

This was a great confidence booster for me at the start of what is going to be a awesome XC season for our team. I was very impressed with of all the guys that ran this, you all did great! Now to just continue working hard and finding positives out of every workout. Definitely a good day.

AM: 1 mile warm up. We did 30/30 workout and my goal this time was to get 30 repeats which was 5 better than last week when I only got 25. As we got going my legs felt tired and it took about 5 or 6 repeats to finally get my legs moving. Around 18ish or something Byron had to stop because of discomfort in his foot so I was alone for the rest of the workout. I got to 20 and wanted at least 5 more. Then I got to 25 and thought I can do this, I can push to 30. The last two were huge mental builders because I wanted to stop at 28 but I had to go 30, I wanted that goal. I reached my goal and I was exhausted but that was the point! This workout was a good one for sure, made me happy. 1 mile cool down. Around 6.5 miles so it was good to get the mileage as well. Gonna be a good day!

PM: Easy 3 miler out with Matt (Red Leader) and Krenny. Felt good except this dumb pain on the side of my left foot.. I iced it and I'm ready to get rolling tomorrow on our tempo, hopefully tonight's sleep will also help.

AM: Nice 9 miler with a two mile tempo. First mile of the tempo was a 6:17 and our second one was 6:09. It was warm but it was so good to run with the few guys that actually show up to practice. Legs a little tired afterwards but nothing a nap and some stretching can't fix. No pain in the foot by the way which is definitely a plus.

PM: Easy 3 miles out to Arctic Circle and it was like 106 or something, it was toasty. Felt good and only for the first minute or two was there any pain on the side of my foot. Ran in my new shoes so that was a fun to get some miles on them. Lifting afterwards was great as well, I felt very motivated and really wanted to get a good lift in and I felt like I did. Great day for a PVXC'er!

AM: Met over at the region course for region 9 today, had our half mile warm up and did agilities and such and then ran the course so that was good to get used to it. My side of my foot only had little pain at the very beginning and only for few minutes.. it's getting better for sure. After the 3 miles on the course we headed up to a monster hill and did 2 repeats of it. The hill was just about a mile long and they were definitely tough but very worth it. It felt good to push up the hill and have the feeling of accomplishment afterwards. Gonna be a good weekend!

5 miler today by myself and it was basically one of the worst decisions of my life to go out at 4:30 and run. I couldn't get out earlier because of work so I was stuck in the heat cause I didn't wanna go on a night run by myself and it was going to be hot no matter when I went out. AM: I don't know exactly what my mileage was for sure but I am guessing that it was close to 7.5 between the warm up, the workout and the races with kids club. So anyways.. we had our 30/30 workout today and my goal was to beat 30 which I had to really push to get last week. We started and the first 10 don't really phase me. It's the next 20 that are tough. I have to run 152 meters in 30 seconds then I have to recover 76 meters in 30 seconds and it just repeats so it gets tough right around 20. I knew I had it in me to get to 30, I had done it last week I was going to do it again this week. Once we hit 28 I wanted at least 3 more to get 31 and that's what I did. It was a great workout and Matt and Byron owned it as well. Excited for the 5K in Enterprise tomorrow, it should go great. Kids club was fun today with them racing and pushing themselves against the clock, I certainly enjoyed it.

PM: Went out with the bro to run 3 miles and he wasn't feeling it so we took it slow which was fine by me. I finished the last .5 of the run faster so the run was decent. Been a good day now to just get some sleep and be to coaches house by 5am ready to race!

AM: Had to wake up early to hit a 5K at 6:30 up in Enterprise. Met at Coaches house around 5 to get going and we got up there around 6 and we all saw some buses and thought those aren't for us so we headed to a nearby church house to go to the bathroom. Turns out that the buses we saw were for us to head up the canyon three miles to the starting line. We had to hitch-hike a ride to the place to start so we only got like .25 of a mile in for warm up in all of the worry of actually being able to compete in the race. A nice older gentleman gave us a fast ride to where we needed to be so that was good. The air was cool which was definitely a change from what we are used to at morning practice. We started and we wanted Matt and Kyler to go with us (us being Byron and myself). Mile one.. 5:12. Exactly what we wanted for our first mile and we realized that the other two guys had already fallen back so no need to worry about them anymore. Our next mile I stuck with coach as he ran the 10K and Byron was right there as well. As we hit 1.5 I was really putting it in my head that we were half way done. After mile two.. 5:16 coach had said that we needed our last mile the fastest so we needed to catch up to Logan. Byron was a beast and made up that ground really quick and I still sat just a little ahead of coach. It wasn't til about half a mile left that I decided to make my move and I moved up by Byron and Logan and decided I would take the lead and I pushed it to the 3 mile marker.. 5:15. I finished pretty strong I thought, the last mile wasn't the fastest but we had a consistent 5K which was awesome. Very pleased with my time and race. Loving these races we are doing, great confidence boosters. Oh yeah we had a 1-5 sweep from our team so that was sweet. 3 mile cool down with the guys, great 24th.

PM: Easy 3 from Coaches house. It was pretty hot but the run felt good, legs felt alright considering the race this morning. After the run we had a pool party and did some stuff for camp, been a great day. Looking forward to next week for camp!

AM: Ran 6.5 down in hell's hole. Since all the rain poured down hell's hole was in need of repair so we had to do the hill workout up the huge hill. AM: Up in Brian Head with my family so it took some motivation to get out of the very relaxing cabin to go run. I had a 10 miler today and it was definitely a confidence builder. I had to run up a really long and steep hill right around mile 2 and 3 and it was basically was a slow uphill from there. I thought I would never reach the 5 mile mark to turn around and head down hill. It finally came and for mile 5, 6, 7 and 8 I had sub 7 minute pace, I found some energy and flew down the hills. One of my miles was even sub 6 pace going down the huge hill. By the end I was pretty tired from the altitude and just the long run but it was very rewarding.

AM: 9.5. Had our dirt mile workout. 6Xmile at 6:20ish pace, 3 minute rest in between. I was feeling good but afterwards I had like zero energy. Off to camp, gonna be a blast!!

PM: Got to camp and set up, then headed out on a 5 miler and I had a side ache most of the time which sucked but I made it through the easy mileage so that was a plus.

AM: had my longest training run today with a 12 miler. My foot hurt a little bit just walking around camp before the run but usually any soreness will just go away with a few miles but this soreness in my foot never subsided but I just pushed through the pain with the rest of my body feeling good. It was a great run with a great scenery.

PM: Easy three and my foot still had some pain but nothing too serious. So far camp was a success!

AM: 6 miler up a long hill, by the top it was quite the push but downhill was breeze although my foot hurt as we went down the hill. It was a good run though.

AM: 6Xmile up on the dirt mile today. I was feeling good, I put some biofreeze on my foot today before practice. There was still a little soreness. 1- 6:07 2- 6:03 3- 5:52 4- 5:56 5- 5:49 6- 5:50. I was feeling good I just tried to not think about my foot and it worked for the most part, great workout.. very pleased with it.

PM: Easy 3 with weights and plyos. Great afternoon!

Doc Appt. tomorrow to get foot x-rayed and figured out. Hoping all goes well.

AM: Had something new today. It was like our 30/30 workout but instead of 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off we had 1 minute on and 1 minute it off (1/1). My goal was 15. Since Byron is cruising (lucky dog) Coach Holt did the workout today with me, which was great. I was glad. We started and I was feeling so good, legs felt fresh.. Had biofreeze on my foot and the first 5 flew by. It was the next 10 that would get harder and harder. Just focused on 1 at a time. Around 7ish my foot had its usual pain but I wasn't going to let that stop me from getting 15 so I pushed through it and reached my goal of 15. The last 3 I even ran more than I was supposed to, my legs were just feeling so good. The workout was good and I felt that I did really well. So far a good day.

DOC APPT: Went over to Zion Orthopedic to get my foot x-rayed. Then came the good/bad news. They found NO stress fractures so that was definitely good news but what they did figure out was that my foot pain was what is called Peroneal Tendonitis. There is two tendons that run around the outside of the ankle, on hooks on to the little bone of the side of your foot and the other wraps around to the top of the foot. The tendonitis is in the one that hooks to the bone on the side of my foot. The doc said to not run the rest of the week and give it a mile on Monday to see how it feels and go from there. He also recommended that I don't compete in Cedar's race on Tuesday. I would much rather not race Cedar than miss one later in the season that is way more important. I am just really glad I caught this when I did so I can get on top of it before the big meets come along. Started the day off good but now that I know what is wrong with my foot my day has been great and I'm going to get my foot better as fast as I can!

Goals for remainder of this week are to keep icing my foot and stay off of it as much as possible. Also to keep a positive attitude while I can't run so I can come back very strong. Lastly, get into the pool at least once a day to remain in the shape I am in right now.

AM: This morning I ran 1.5. After taking the weekend off I was just going to see how it felt and there was some pain but better than before so that is good.

PM: 3 miles around cedar high school, cheering the team on! They did great, always a positive in a race no matter what. Really wanting to race but gotta save it for SUU so I can be ready to rock and roll for the big meets. Lovin' life despite dumb tendonitis

AM: 4 miles easy out in Hurricane because of a race. Everyone on the team did excellent so that was a success. Just did 4 miles easy with Krenny and Kyler because we didn't race along with some other guys but no pain till a puppy was chasing us and we had to stop to make sure it didn't go to far from home. Seems like if I stop a little pain finds its way to my foot but it is definitely getting better so that is a big two thumbs up!

AM: 2 miles easy with David and Paul, it was good to go farther than a mile in the morning.

PM:6 miles which was good for me for the last few weeks. Started with a .5 mile warm up and we did our agilities and such then we went on a 2 mile warm up for our workout. We had 6Xmile but with my foot I only did 2 and it felt super super good. I was so glad to go fast again with my boys. Just glad that my foot is getting better! One mile cool down as well.

PM: 7 miles. Another workout for me and I was excited to go fast again.. I haven't done much in the last week and a half if you haven't noticed so I love workout days because I love going fast. PM: 7 miles. A hill workout.. YES. Love me some hills. We did old man hills today we had 4X800 meter gradual hills. I did 3 of them. The first two I just stuck right with Byron for a good pace and we really worked on pushing the last 400. The last one I pushed past Byron and I really needed that to give me some more confidence for this weekends race. Hopefully all goes well and the foot holds up well like it has been lately!

Before race stuff: Had to be up early and get over to catch the bus at 6:30 to head up to Cedar in time for the JV girls. I was feelin super confident after our amazing team night. I was ready to rock and roll and nothing was going to stop me.. not even my foot. (no pain in foot by the way) ... warmed up around 2 miles and still no pain, feeling awesome but then the race was postponed due to weather. Really just tried to stay in the racing mindset and I did pretty good for the most part.

RACE: No time for nerves to set in. Got right up to the line and started within a few minutes. The gun with off and I took off pretty quick to stay up with Marsing (Carbon) as well as the other guys up front. If you know me at all I hate to be in the pack, I love the open view of what is in front of me. So I lead for a little bit till my boy Byron was right next to me and it felt soo great. Not gonna lie we looked good(; ANYWAYS.. I knew that we were unstoppable together, we always work so hard together in workouts and today we were going to work hard to the finish. We lead side by side for a little bit with Marsing close behind and McPhie (DHells) right there as well. On the "down hill" part of the race I heard Byron yell and grab his hammy and I thought "Oh crap, he just pulled something" (glad he didn't though!) Now it was just me with Marsing and McPhie as well as some other guys. I really pushed to maintain good placing. Before long my arms were pretty sore and I was breathing pretty hard and McPhie and Marsing just kept getting a little farther ahead and I was just trying to keep a strong push to the finish. Up the last "up hill" part I was really hurting and I knew that I had slowed down but I still had some ground to make up and I thought if I gave it a good push down the other side into the chute to the finish maybe I could catch someone. It just didn't happen and tried to throw a kick in there and I just didn't have the energy. I just need to get in the shape I was in before my tendonitis. There isn't a doubt in my mind that myself as well as Byron can't beat those guys it just didn't happen today. We had good grouping with Myself, Byron and Kyler. Everyone on the team did amazing and we will get better as time goes on.

Goals for next week leading to the Grass Relays: Stay healthy, drink lots of water, get into better shape and keep a confident and positive attitude.

Let the winter training begin. It's time to start fresh and begin blogging again. I'm all in for this track season. The way I see it you are either all in or you aren't in at all. 4 miles easy with Krenny, Stoner, Kaylee and Mia. So good to be running again although my form is trying to be figured out and possibly made a little better while it's still a little goofy from not running. Legs felt good and I'm ready for whatever lies ahead.

Decided to go out and give running a go today after I got my wisdom teeth removed on Friday. First mile I struggled with a lot of junk in my throught but after that I felt good. It was pretty refreshing this morning. Went out for 7 miles easy on some trails with Krenny and Byron. Good last run of 2013.
