Good Morning run with the usual of 3 miles. For after school we had our AT tempo pace for 30 minutes which was a 5:40ish pace. This was in the middle of an 8 mile run. I first off made sure I was on empty before I left the school if you know what I mean. I was a little nervous after having stomach problems last week. As the tempo started I got right into the pace. I felt good and relaxed, my goal was too just stick it through the workout and finish just as strong as the start. Getting used to the trail the run to the turn around didn't seem very long and that was good. I kept with Mike because I knew we would reach our pace. The way back went pretty fast too and if there was ever a thought in my mind of slowing down I would just tell myself only 800 meters to go. Passing where we started I felt that I should really push and be sure not to fall off. As we made it back to the main road it was only Mike and I and we finished it off strong with an average pace of 5:40. It was a great workout. I felt good the entire time and felt like my form was pretty good from start to finish. Definitely better than last week. Another great day to be a runner. |
