I was at the gym running on the dread mill.  And the power went out.  I decided to abuse the other machines and i hopped onto the elliptical machine.  Man did it get Hot.   I was resolved to work out because i had an almond fudge shake from iceberg for lunch. (Yummy to the tummyJ)

I was able to pull the old bones out of Bed this morning.  I thought it would of been a nice moorning to run because it rained last night.   I was a little disapointed.  it was hot and muggy.   I pulled off the shirt and strapped on the mp3 player and rocked on down the road.  Picked it up the last mile. avg 7 min pace.

I went out around 8 pm last night and almost got killed by a home run!   I was running behind the baseball field and some just slammed a home run. The ball missed my head by about 2 feet.  I enjoyed the run.  Was a just a bit hot (100 degrees? )

I got to Bryce around 5 pm Friday night. I was going to stay at the KOA but I decided against it because there were enough teenagers their to drive a person crazy. I decided to camp just out side of town on top of a mountain. I barley managing to get the tent set up when a heavens opened and brought down buckets of water. The wind started blowing and the thunder was echoing of the mountain walls. I did not have time to secure my tent so I lay in side of my tent like a dead weight trying to keep me and the tent from soaring of the top of the mountain. The race started just north of the famous ruby’s Inn. 800 eager beavers ready to scream down the canyon to Canyonville. The gun went off and we started out of the gate. Then the gun went off again. Like a false start in a track meet. I stopped for a moment as about 50 people passed me, then I had to get it in gear. The first two-mile are flat. Then the next 5 go right down the canyon. I pretty much stayed with 4 guys going down the canyon. Then I slowly pulled away from them on the bottom. Here are my splits. 1. 6.49 2. 6.21 3. 5.57 4. 6.10 5. 6.24 6. 6.24 7. 6.46 8. 7.10 9. 6.56 10. 6.53 11. 6.51 12. 7.05 13. 6.26 126.26 Avg pace 6:39
