Steve called me up and met me at my work for 6 pm run.   Was a little hot 98 degrees.   But i can't refuse Steve and i needed to get my work out done.  Ran 9 miles with him. Iwas glad he had water.  We would of never of made it.  Ran another two on my own.    I need to figure out what pace i should be running  400 and 800 in speed work and what is my Threshold  pace and tempo pace?  Any ideas?  (cumulas)  New shoes felt great.

Bill, no nude beaches for us. I heard there are some in St. Tropez, but we didn't go there. However, at all beaches in French Riviera (and much of Europe) it is perfectly legal for women to sunbathe topless. The ladies are exercising their right, to be sure!

As for the paces for your 400-800 repeats, you can check Daniels' "Running Formula" or McMillan calculator (www.mcmillanrunning.com) - both give reasonable training pace ranges based on your recent race results.

Hey - were you referring to yourself in that last bit? ;) That running in the heat really takes it out of you - good job!

On speed I usually run until I'm about to throw up or pass out, and then I back off just a bit. Try this out yourself, it should work good for you too.

Just kidding, I'm not that much of an animal.
