Last night I had a dream that you were in Phoenix to run a marathon. You were the passenger in my best friend's truck and I was driving right behind you. We were getting on the freeway, but I got stopped at the light. So he pulled over and waited for me. Then when I got to you, his truck wouldn't start. So I got out and gave you a big hug because I was so excited to meet you. But now you looked like Rattletrap. So we got to the race and you were giving us advice on how to use the wind to our advantage (much of this dream doesn't make sense.) You said to lean in to the wind so that you have more surface area for it to push you (I told you it didn't make sense.) I asked how should that be different than your regular running form. You said when there's no wind you just run uprightly and relaxed. Then the race started, but for some reason they were starting the elites 5 minutes after everyone else. You were not among the elites, but Seth Wold was. I was excited because I figured I would be running at an 8 min/mile pace while Seth would be running at 5 min/mile. I knew I would be ahead of him for the first mile. So the race started but I had to tie my shoe. As I bent down I noticed my laces were completely frayed. I managed to bundle and twist them up enough to where I could get somewhat of a knot to keep them together. Then I ended up starting with the elites which pretty much consisted of me, Seth, and my friend who gave you a ride who is not a runner. Immediately we were inside a 6 story building and running up the stairs. I knew I should be exhausted but I wasn't tired at all. I was able to stay with Seth and often I was ahead of him. He passed me right before the top. I knew I could make up some time on the way down if I didn't run down the stairs, but rather jump from floor to floor. At this point I didn't like how the dream was going so I woke up. That's why it was so fresh in my mind and I can recount it with such detail. Just thought I would share it with you.

Wow! What a dream. I'm glad I didn't do anything bad in the dream. Maybe it means you and I need to run the China Marathon because you climb tons of stairs in it. I think it means that your going to eventually beat Seth in a race. :-)

It actually is good to kind of lean into the wind rather than running upright. You have more force forward.

I'm glad I didn't start with the elites... the stair climb must have scared me. I really don't consider myself an elite anyway. :-) Thanks for sharing, now what can I dream about you.
