Ran 11:35 at an overall 6:51 pace in 1:17 up Olympus RD and down Bench RD, Hilne Rd.  Not much time to blog so in summary I did the last five miles faster (6:08, 5:45, 6:29,6:48 and 6:27).  My right little toe is bleeding and hurting and the bottom of my left foot is sore and hurting for the last couple days. Lovely!  But I don't care I won't be racing much anymore.

Hello Kory. I'll be running the race with you next weekend. I drove the course yesterday and it looks impressive.

From Kory on Wed, Aug 26, 2009 at 15:58:18 from 134.50.223.250

Good for you. My advice is be patience on the start and hold back for miles 16 - 20 miles. This area can be challenging. If you can hold back on the downhill on pace this second half is not too bad on you.

What's your goal?

My goal is I don't care and just to have fun and worship God doing it.

Good advice. I hope to be in the 2:50-3:00 range. I'm sure your "just having fun" attitude will propel you to another win. See you next Saturday.

I never have looked to win. Last year I ran for fun. To me it's not about winning it's just trying to met my own goals. I'm just humbled that I can finish a marathon.

I don't want to take it seriously than it's not going to be fun.

MarkP - I wanted to say something else and forgot. you'll do great. If you can hold off on the fast downhill, you will make up the time the last 6 miles. The course really flattens out towards the end. Really try to put it in gear the last 6 miles.

Any information you need to know let me know. Do you have a place to stay?
