What a crappy day to wake up to!  I ran 12.2 miles total this morning.  I ran 3 on the indoor track, then 3 on a treadmill, then 4 on the indoor track and finally 2.2 on the treadmill. Very Very boring run!  I averaged around 7:30 miles.

Ran 6.25 miles at the oval.  1 mile warmup 5*1200's with 90 second rest. 1.5 mile cooldown.

1)3.54, 2)3.58, 3)3.57, 4)3.56, 5)3.57.  I shortened my interval rest time and noticed that I was not wiped out.

Swam 1 mile this morning. Did a 1-300 yards, 600 yards, 1-300, 1-300.  1-100 yard.

Did a 1 hour spin class and my body is sore from pouring a basement floor of 23 yards! I can count that for my weightlifting for the day!

I ran 6 easy miles this morning at a 7:30 pace.

I ran 6 miles of hill repeats with team runamok this evening. Met up with Bill cobler and Demitrio Cabinillas sr. and his daughter Carol.  She is getting ready for the womens olympic time trials in Boston.  Bill is running Salt Lake Marathon this month and was toying with the idea of flying out saturday night to Boston and doing it with Demitrio! Wow! that would be hard for myself.

I swam 1000 yards 1x100 yard, 1x800 yards, 1x100 yards.

Ran 3 miles easy on track. 1 mile at tempo 5k pace @ 5:12, 2 miles on treadmill one of them at 12% grade at 6.5 mph, the other at flat 6.5 mph. 1.5 miles on track. Then the sun came out and torqued me off because my hair was to wet to run in the cold. Oh well, you cant have everything! Where would you put it?

Went up to Eden to run this beautiful race.  Very cold it was! (Yoda) and I ran in a singlet and shorts! It was about 30 something at the start and When I started the race I felt like I could stick with Logan and company but I backed off because I knew I couldnt finish a race the way those guys start out.  I warmed up quick and then the canyon headwind started. It wasnt too bad at first but after we got out of the canyon and onto the flat land up there, I was wishing someone would pass me so I could get a break.  I ended up running all by my self the whole way which doesnt bother me at all because I like to try to concentrate on myself without the distractions.  I felt really good and had a plan to try to pick my pace up at mile 9 but by the time I got there the wind and a bit of incline kept me from trying to have a strong finish. After I finished I was astounded to find out that Dark Horse came in behind me. I didnt even stop my watch or look at the time when I came in so Im guessing my time to be in the 1:15 range again.  Ill have to see when its posted.  By the way Steve Ashbaker ran off the course thats why I was ahead of him.  I had a moment for a couple of seconds till I found that out!  Still let this race be known as the race I beat Steve Ashbaker.  Sorry Steve, just let me have my glory till next race okay?  Also that stupid chip card you put on your shoes rubbed the top of my toes till they bled. I asked someone at the second aid station if they would cut it off but they didnt have anything.  I stopped for a couple of seconds to try and rip it off but it started to crack so I grimmaced and bore it!  I wanted to run with team St. George/Fast Running Blog after but I had to get my Taxes done today so dont think im snubbing you alright?  My next race is Boston and after today Ive got a bit more confidence to try for a 2:35.  We will see! By the way my number for Boston is 1234 if anyone wants to track me on the 21st.
