Ran this morning with the runamoks group.  We did a nice easy run with 6x650's, 6x350's, and 6x150 yard hill sprints, followed by a tempo run. My first 6-650's are 1)1.52.34, 2)1.52.27, 3)1.50.38, 4)1.50.50, 5) 1.48.35, 6)1.48.11.  My 6-350's are 1)1.02.18, 2)101.15, 3)1.00.17, 4)1.00.19, 5)1.00.21, 6)1.00.23.  I only got one of my hill sprint times at 38.25 seconds.  Craig Green and I ran a good tempo run after for close to a mile im guessing as I forgot my gps this morning. It was a great workout and hopefully it will benefit me for Boston.  Thats all I got to say about that.

Are you starting a taper now? The race is close, isn't it?

From Walter on Sat, Apr 12, 2008 at 19:13:55

Yes I am starting a taper even though I kind of went nuts today. My race is on the 21st so I have 9 days to recover from todays run. How are you feeling?

From Jon on Sat, Apr 12, 2008 at 23:31:05

I ran today, which is the first time since Monday. Hopefully I am over this sickness.

Are you doing the Striders 30k?

From Walter on Sat, Apr 12, 2008 at 23:48:32

Im glad you got over that quick! I still cant commit to the 30k till after boston. do you want me to try to push you or have me to pace you? I just dont know if I can do 18.6 after 26.2! I will let you know!

From Cody on Sun, Apr 13, 2008 at 19:47:20

No, I want Walter to pace me, not Jon! Dibs!!! I have a feeling (I really hope this is true) that the pace will be pretty easy overall for the 30 till the last bit. I bet you would handle it just fine Walter.

From Walter on Sun, Apr 13, 2008 at 20:27:05

Cody I will have to see how I feel. You have to remember im old! jk ive been doing too many races this year, i hope i dont push my body into getting Mono back. That destroyed my whole year in '06. I may come half way and run with you for 9 or 10. I could feel good after bean town who knows. I wish I would have run the 10k now, but the del sol actually got my running spirits up.
