Ok I finally was able to get some sleep.  Im still tired though.  I wanted to try and hit 100 miles this week but it looks like Im going to fall short. I drove up to Daybreak this morning and ran 9 miles at 5:30 am with Trick.  She has a nasty cold and still pushed through it.  I hope I dont come down with anything in the next 2 weeks. Ill be ravished if I do.

Yeah, you better find a new running buddy so she does not get you ill!

You could just run an extra, what, 10-15 tomorrow??

Glad you got some rest.

From Lucia on Fri, Sep 19, 2008 at 14:31:47

Getting enough sleep is the best way to prevent getting sick, Wall-e, don't forget that! Are you running SGM?

From Camille on Fri, Sep 19, 2008 at 20:12:32

I'm glad you were able to get some sleep. And, I also hope that you don't come down ill. That wouldn't be good. Good for Trick for pushing through the cold. That's impressive.

Yeah for sleep! Nice miles :)

From Walter on Fri, Sep 19, 2008 at 23:28:49

Kelli, I know, she kept coughing and I insisted on going back but she wouldnt have it! So I made it all the way.

Lucia, sleep schmeep! You are totally right though. I dont want to get sick right now. Yes Im running SGM in a couple of weeks. Going to smash my Pr.

Camille, Thanks. You know it wasnt too cold. she quit coughing after 6 miles. I really wish I wasnt running the SGM for a PR. I would run with her. A couple years ago I ran with her when I was getting over a sickness and ran a 3:18 with her. I talked the whole way and it was fun! She ended up out sprinting me and luckily she doesnt remind me of it.

Marion. Im still tired even though I made it a full night without waking up. Are you going down to SGM?

From marion on Sat, Sep 20, 2008 at 09:28:13

I know how you feel. I always am MORE tired the first little bit I sleep all night. Nope, I'm not going to SGM. Next year, I am hoping :) I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!

From Walter on Sat, Sep 20, 2008 at 11:14:24

Well, keep up the good work and we'll see you in SGM next year then! Remember baby steps! (what about Bob?) Baby steps!

From Camille on Sat, Sep 20, 2008 at 11:36:34

What time are you trying to get at SGM (what's your goal?)

From Walter on Sat, Sep 20, 2008 at 12:08:41

Im shooting for a 2:32. It is a very difficult goal to have but I have got to do it. I know everything has got to fall in order to do it so hopefully nothing will stop me. Or even slow me down.

From Kelli on Sat, Sep 20, 2008 at 17:33:44

Is 2:40 your best time yet?

From Walter on Sun, Sep 21, 2008 at 01:25:46

Yeah, thats my fastest time and Im going to smash it this year.
