From walter on Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 23:50:48

Its a work in progress ok? Kelli and Rachel where are you when I need you? I give up. Maybe Ill take this computer to the run with me tomorrow. lol

Teena Im sorry Im so retarded when it comes to this modern computer world.

From kungfublonde on Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 23:55:54

I'm here! Nice picture of a square.

From Teena on Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 23:58:21

Yeah, but you can run a stinkin' 2:40 in the wind and rain!!

(I'd take that over "numchuck skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills" anyday!! -- name that movie)

From kungfublonde on Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 23:59:14

Napoleon Dynamite

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:00:24

And I'd take that fast running skill too. Instead I got cooking skills, sarcasm skills, and blogging skills. Plus I can dance :)

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:07:43

If you guys were cool you could right click and it would go to my flickr account and show you all my photos. At least thats what I make of it. lol Someone tell me its so before I take this computer back to costco.

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:08:42

You can just post a link to your flickr account then :)

From Teena on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:09:05

Rachel -- you have mad skills!! I want some.

From Teena on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:10:23

Walter --

"It is so."

(Totally a lie, but oh well.)

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:10:34

I right clicked and got the photo url, then pasted it into my browser and went to your flickr account. Cool picture :)

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:12:18

Dancing? I can do a pretty good sprinkler and running man and dont forget the roger rabbit! Oh and Michael Jackson's fancy moves before he turned into a pedophile. Thanks Rachel youve taught me how to make a square! lol

Teena, Im pretty good at naming movies. I cant believe I let Rachel beat me! I actually was stumped on that one!

From Teena on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:14:21

Rachel --

You have mad computer skills too!! Unbelievable. Just did what you did and it worked!!

Walter --

Cool pic!! You have mad H2O skills! Everyone with all these skills!! (I need to come up with some mad skills.)

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:15:08

GOSH Walter!

I do a good Napoleon Dynamite. I can dance like him too! I'll come to a blogger run one of these days and wow you with all my useless skills. Then you will all run off really fast, and I'll be all alone. All cool by myself :)

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:16:22

yay Teena! And your mad skill is flying through a marathon, remember? :)

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:20:28

Rachel, sounds fun. We can do a dance off with Sasha! lol he can do his drunkin russian while you wow us with your N.P. skills and Ill cool you all off with my sprinkler moves.

Teena, your a work in progress!

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:21:50

I'm so in. Just tell me when. Wow, I should have gotten back into running sooner!

From Teena on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:24:17

I think I want my mad skills now!!

From Teena on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:24:45

Oh yeah ... and I totally want to see the dance off!

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:27:15

You're in it Teena, so start practicing your moves. Dancing is not a spectator sport!

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:29:07

If I was smart enough to figure out how to link everyone together with video it could be fun to do it over the internet. lol Not the same as if we did a party though. We must do this. lol My most conspicuous feature on my body is my long legs so when Walter starts kickin his legs around I turn into John travolta. In my mind. I really look like Elaine on her drunken dance she does at her company party. too funny!

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:30:51

Yes- I did the Elaine dance when I was out with my brother! He took me swing dancing, and I don't know how at all. He was really good, and everyone else was really goood. So I finally gave up and decided if I was going to be bad, I was going to be REALLY bad. I busted out the "little kicks" dance Elaine did!

From Teena on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:32:22

I did take break-dancing in 7th grade!! A whole month's worth of lessons might I add!

From Teena on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:35:09

Hey, aren't we suppose to be running super early in the morning? What in the world am I doing??

Can't wait to read more about the dance off tomorrow.

Laters.

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:37:04

Teena, my girls just got home from dance and are still finishing homework. :(

Walter, it's on. This is me at my roller disco 35th bithday party. I'm staying alive. (hope this works...)

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:40:30

If we can do this when Mike is home, he and Teena can break dance! THAT is worth trveling to see!

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:40:31

Ok Teena, see ya.

Rachel, that is classic my friend! And the person behind you appears to be in an interesting outfit too! lol

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:41:48

it was a roller disco party, everyone looked groovy :)

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:44:07

Crap, im rolling on the floor right now!

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 00:45:25

Teena, I think I took a break dance lesson when I was in Jr. high also. Too funny!

From Camille on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 09:44:59

Man... I was missing all the fun. Nice box Walter! And nice pictures :o). It looks like you had a bunch of fun on your trip.

Rachel - cool picture! I love the outfit and the light coming off the disco balls.

Now... what dance moves can I do in the dance off.... Do you guys remember Will Smith's dance in "Fresh Prince of Bell-Air"? Is that dance good enough? I know it's no Napoleon, John Travolta, or "sprinkler"... but it is entertaining. (just a thought)

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 10:17:33

Good one Camille!

From Camille on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 10:28:59

Thanks. I have a few other movies too... but they are probably not suited for public. Melanie enjoyes them, but that's because she doesn't know to be embarrased by her mom just yet.

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 10:36:08

Funny! Yeah my 13 year old is definitely embarrassed by me!

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 17:18:14

WOW, I missed a great conversation! I should have been online last night instead of reading my dumb book club book!

Rachel, LOVE THE PICTURE! You are one photogenic lady! You need to be a model.

From Burt on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 18:40:31

Teena,

Sorry to bud in, but has anyone guessed which movie your blog title "Summon Your Eagle Powers" is from? I love that movie as much as Napolean Dynamite, and I chuckle every time I see your blog.

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 18:45:45

Nacho Libre!! (right?)

From Burt on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 18:53:40

Those eggs were a lie, Esqueleto. A LIE! They give me no eagle powers! The give me no nuuutrients!

From Camille on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 18:57:01

I haven't seen that movie yet, but I love Jack Black :o)

From Burt on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 18:58:37

Why don't you marry him?

From Camille on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 19:08:45

hmmm... well, first there is the whole already taken thing (minor detail, right?), then, isn't he also married. Though, that would be a Hollywood marriage, so that isn't much of an obstical...

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 21:27:21

Oh, I do not think I would marry him!! Yuck! And, apparently I have absolutely no sense of humor becasue i saw about 10 minutes of that movie and could not take it any more (my hubby loves it, though). AND I can not even take 2 minutes of Napoleon Dynamite, it is bad enough that my entire family is always quoting the darn movie!!

I am a stick in the mud!

From walter on Thu, Oct 16, 2008 at 22:27:11

We should be talking about Charriots of Fire or something- this is a running blog...

What movies do you like Kelli? Sorry, sometimes the dumb ones are just good for blowing off steam. Plus I got a great recipe for corn on the cob from Nacho Libre!

From Teena on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 00:32:12

From Montelepsy on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 07:37:00

Walter,

What is the sprinkler?

Teena,

I thought the eagle powers was from Hot Rod which is the most awesome movie ever. I think a lot of the lessons from that movie can be applied to become better runners.

Kelli,

I agree with you on Nacho Libre. Not funny. Napoleon, however, was genius.

Hon,

When I get home let's have corn.

From walter on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 09:07:05

Mike the sprinkler is when you put your hand to the side of your head and the other hand straight out and do the water sprinkler action. lol

Rachel, I dont know how you do it? you have a gift my friend.

From Kelli on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 10:21:11

I knew the sprinkler thing!! Yeah, I finally know what you guys are talking about!

What movies do I like? Hmmm, I will have to think on that! We go to the movies every weekend, so I see about all of them (you guys just keep coming up with ones I have not seen).

Right now my family and I are watching RV, which is quite dumb as well. Yet my husband and kids are laughing their butts off. The scene where they try to empty the, what do you call it? Toilet stuff, I guess. Anyway, that scenes makes me laugh!

I guess I better give Napoleon another try. BUT I think I already know the entire movie!!

From walter on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 14:13:54

Kelli, RV is funny! I love it. Well gotta go back to Harryman see ya.

From Kelli on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 14:18:40

Walter, then you are right on the level of my children. Actually, Scott likes it, too.

I was thinking of what movies I really like while I ran today and I can not think of any funny ones. I have a BAD memory! But I am a sap for the chick flick. My DVR has about 70 hours of them---and I refuse to delete them. There is something about watching a movie, crying, stuffing your face, and then going to bed. And, in the other room, my husband watches Bourne, war movies, or superhero stuff, stuffs, his face, and falls asleep in the bed about 30 minutes into the movie.

All of that said, my favorite ALL TIME movei is "She's Having a Baby" with Kevin Bacon. That movie had some funny parts, right? And it has great music.

From Walter on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 21:13:40

My favorite scene from shes having a baby is when they are trying to concieve and his parents are giving him pointers. There are good parts in that for sure. I like Raising Arizona. Theres a part in it where the parol officer is questioning him and they ask him if he's a changed man and he says yes i have been changed and want to be a better person. Then they say your not saying what we want to hear are you because were not letting you out if you are. Ok then im just telling you what you want to hear. Funny you have to see it.

From kungfublonde on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 00:04:21

Raising Arizona is one of my all time favorites :) "Watch out for his little fontanel!"

From walter on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 00:21:20

Theve got a name for you hyde its called repeat offender! The other is when his boss is offering him to swap wives! Im talking about wife swapping! lol

From Kelli on Sat, Oct 18, 2008 at 21:19:29

Oh, man!! I hate that movie, too. I am a big stick in the mud for sure!

Okay, I thought long and hard about this becasue it was disturbing me that I could not think of any comedies that I like. So, I liked Meet the Parents and Happy Gillmore. Those were pretty funny. But you will not find me quoting them as I can not remember any lines (aside from when he threatens to kick Bob Barker's behind, but I can not quote that scene on here!)

Is that a little better?

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 19:34:48

Kelli, what about Dumb and Dumber? You have to like that movie!?

From Michelle N. on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 19:39:11

Oh Kelli, we've gotta get you watching these classic comedies. Please tell me that Dumb and Dumber is one you liked. How about Tommy Boy or Black Sheep? My list goes on and on. We love stupid comedy at our house.

From Burt on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 19:46:00

It feels like you're running at an incredible rate, Harry!

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 19:46:28

We need to get together Michelle and have a movie night! Someone with a theater in there house! My only big tv is on the wall in my bedroom! You can all come over and lay on the bed with us! lol

True though, I havnt seen a great movie that is so funny, that you end up quoting the funny parts from it. What happened to the 80's Michelle. BTW, are you seriously going to slow down to run with me if I get too far out and cant make it back? I will just lay on the side of the trail while you get that great big SUV to rescue me.

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 19:49:08

Burt, I love it! "I cant believe we cant find a job in this whole town harry!, Yeah I know, unless you want to work 40 hours a week!"

From Michelle N. on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 20:19:02

I have to have a great big SUV for all 50 of my kids. Well really ONLY 5. I have a great list of funny movies. Have you seen White Chicks. Totally stupid but oh so funny. Some of my funnies aren't very appropriate. I really like the one about guys meeting girls at weddings:) We use a lot of quotes from that one around here. Motor boat:)

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 20:31:15

You stumped me on that one! I havnt seen it. Wedding crashers is good. I like Owen Wilson in Shanghai knights too. He's hilarious. He reminds me of myself jk. I love the gay scene when Vince Vaughn is cuffed to the bed and the girls brother comes in. Very funny.

Im doped up pretty good right now so hopefully I can wake up to run.

From Michelle N. on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 22:56:16

Shhhh Walter, I was trying to be discreet about Wedding Crashers. You don't remember anything about motor boatin' in it? Think hard, there is a scene on the stairs between Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Very funny.

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:06:40

You have a perverse mind like me. Why do I only think of the dirty parts? jk

Michelle, pm me and remind me. I dont want to have to rent the movie again. lol

From Camille on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:10:09

I'm a big fan of the Wilson Brothers. Both Owen and Luke are great actors. They have a third brother that was in Church Ball in 2006. Vince Vaunghn on the other hand. It depends on the movie for him. He always plays the same charactor.

And am I the only person that doesn't like Dumb and Dumber, and couldn't get past the beginning?

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:19:45

Camille, I agree with the Wilson bros. but dumb and dumber are just classic.

So maybe you and Lybi can get a party going for R&R Arizona and Del Sol for us!

From montelepsy on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:28:10

I'm with Camille. Make that two votes against Dumb and Dumber.

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:33:58

Oh my gosh Mike! Not you too!? I guess the reason I like it is there were alot of parts to remember that were funny. You know it was filmed right here in Utah too dont you?

From Lybi on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:42:23

I like Dumb and Dumber!

"His head fell off!" Hahahaha!

You have to be sleep deprived or going through finals week in college to appreciate it.

I also like Napoleon Dynamite. The best part is when that guy shoots that sweet ol' cow right as the school bus pulls up and traumatizes all the school kids. I also like how Napoleon was feeding casserole to that llama. Bahahaha. And that scene where he tried to jump over a fence and totally flops makes me laugh too.

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:46:38

You know Napolean dynamite was filmed in Preston, Idaho which borders Lewsiton, Utah which is where my wife grew up. Misty actually worked in the chicken plant that they have. Funny huh? Its true. That movie put Preston on the map!

From kungfublonde on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:51:24

the cow shooting in front of all the kids was based on an actual incident. And his jump over the fence is one of my favorite parts :)

As for Nacho Libre and Dumb and Dumber, I didn't like them until I saw them a second time, much later. "Like" might be too strong a word. I can appreciate the funny parts. But don't let Mike fool you, he's no movie snob. One of his favorites is Water Boy. Captain Insano shows no mercy!!

From Kelli on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:54:02

Scott LOVES Dumb and Dumber. I am not with you guys on that one! I did laugh pretty hard at Wedding Crasher, but I would never watch it over and over again!

I am just lame, it is okay!!

From walter on Mon, Oct 20, 2008 at 23:58:48

Rachel, Im the type of person who remembers the quirky dumb parts and laught at them later. Water Boy is a great one! "Clean, Clear, Crisp H20!" lol

Your not lame Kelli, were the lame o's! lol

From Kelli on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:01:56

I liked Water Boy okay, but it was not as good as Happy Gillmore.

From Courtney on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:02:54

Thanks for the encouragement! This is a sweet website for runners.

P.S. What is a good blog to watch for someone looking to up their mileage and speed? (I've been a "cruiser" for ssooo long, forgotten how to train.)

P.S.S. Congrats on your St. George time...that is smokin' fast!

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:03:27

Walter, Kelli, we're all lame in different ways.

From Kelli on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:03:49

And I like Vince Vaughn!! The Break Up was great and pretty darn funny!

From Kelli on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:07:53

We are all lame, especially becasue we are up after 10 playing on our computers!! I have to go fold on more load of laundry and then I am off to bed! Have a wonderful night all of my lame friends!

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:11:58

Thanks Courtney! This blog will be your running partner!

Rachel, My lame is just more conspicuous!

Kelli, I know you are but what am I? Lame O!

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:18:14

it's early here- only a quarter-to-lame in California :)

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:19:30

doh- quarter AFTER. now that's ironic. It may be earlier in California, but it's blonde 24/7!

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:21:22

Are you alright Rachel? lol jk

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 00:22:40

Kelli's right, it's past my bedtime. :)

From Camille on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 10:52:56

Okay... a different movie. One of my all time favorite movies is About a Boy. (And Also Love Actually... but don't jugde me, you guys were discussing Wedding Crashers). Anyone else love the humor in British Comedies?

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 10:59:47

Like Mr. Bean?

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:01:54

The one movie with Mr. Bean I like is Rat Race. That is another funny one!

From Camille on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:01:57

no Mr. Bean is too much for me.

From Camille on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:02:33

I like Rat Race.

From Michelle N. on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:02:40

Or Benny Hill! Not a movie but funny.

From Camille on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:11:59

Okay, so maybe not all British movies. LOL I pretty much just really love the two I listed. Oh, and Bridget Jones

From Camille on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:13:02

what's Benny Hill?

From Michelle N. on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:14:51

Camille, how old are you? That just made me feel old:) Benny Hill used to be on TV years ago. My dad loved it. Very funny.

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:16:19

OMG Camille, you are a young one! lol I remember my dad wouldnt let me watch Benny Hill. It came on right after the tonight show with Johnny Carson. Do you remeber Johnny? Im glad to see you finally like one of my movies! yaah

Michelle, you do have a mind like mine! lol Im not saying too perverted. ha ha just too funny.

From Michelle N. on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:19:02

Benny Hill was a dirty old man. My dad (who has been in the bishopric and is now serving a mission) let us watch some questionable stuff. I could recite quite a few lines from Animal House at the age of 5.

From montelepsy on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:23:42

For the people who sat in the front row in school.

This one's for the ones that sat in back. :)

Did Misty have to drink raw eggs and get paid in loose change? Can I have Misty's autograph?

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:24:08

I was going to say Animal House but figured it would show my age! lol

From Michelle N. on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:26:54

As quoted from a great movie (I just can't remember which one), "don't take life to serious, or you'll never get out of life". Hmmm, that was pretty cheesy but that is why I stick to the nonsense discussions, I am very "unserious" and I did sit on the back row:)

From Camille on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:28:13

well... Not only am I a young one, so are my parents, and I think that has something to do with it. My parents were in higschool when I entered the world. They didn't get into shows like that. But I do remember being allowed to watch Threes Company and other shows like that. My favorite movie as a kid was House, which is also rated R. Is it bad when your friends have to get signed permission slips to come plan at your house?

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:28:44

Thats funny Mike you have a good sense of humor! Ill ask misty about that!

From Michelle N. on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:34:33

Camille, I didn't think anything of what we watched around our house until I became a parent and went over to pick my 3 year old from my parents house and she was watching Nightmare on Elm Street. I had to discipline my dad. He won't ever change though.

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:37:05

That is funny Michelle, "Dad, you cant let my baby watch Freddy Kruger!" lol

From Michelle N. on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:39:42

Exactly! The funny thing is, she said it is scary but I like it. At age 3 that was pretty cute. My dad is a very funny man though. He just doesn't get what is appropriate and what isn't. Like I said, Animal House!

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:41:39

Sounds like we have the same dads! lol 3 years old oh my good heck, That is funny. Mommy, can I go to grandpas house and finish watching a gory movie? ha ha

From Burt on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 11:56:35

I agree with Mike. This discussion has spiraled out of control. The sad thing is I could keep it going with my plethora of useless funny movie quotes. Ooh. There's a good one. "Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?" "Si, El Guapo, you have a plethora."

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 12:00:11

Burt, How could I have forgotten the 3 amigos! Yes! you two, look up here, look up here! Oh, that has alot of movie quotes!

I guess this back of the classroom conversation has spiraled out of control huh?

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 12:00:36

Burt- you win the internet!! I say that all the time!

From Camille on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 12:02:39

LOL Yeah, it does sound like we all have the same dads. Did yours listen to Pink Floyd? I think I still know all the words to "We Don't Need No Education"

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 12:03:43

My dad was a country bumbkin growing up so I was forced into it. He hates my music!

From Kelli on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 12:25:21

I guess every e-mail I have in my inbox is from this discussion!!

But, I obviously sat at the front of the class, that is why I can not seem to find a funny movie!! However, I think you guys are geniuses in your own right---look at your ability to memorize all of these movie quotes!

I liked About a Boy, too. That is more of a chick flick. And what about Knotting Hill?? LOVED that one!

One last thing, at the age of two my daughter would tell people her favorite movie was Bravehart. That is when we started looking at what we let our kids watch!! We will stick with Spongebob for now.

From Kelli on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 13:28:27

Hey, we have this post halfway to the highest I have yet to see. WOW.

Rachel, I laughed at your blondeness! Too funny. My husband tells my daughter, who dies her hair dark red, that it is false advertising! She is a TRUE blonde it the saddest way. But, hey, she may eventually pass the test to get her learner's permit---hopefully before she needs a walker!

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 18:19:36

Kelli I can see your not into quirky comedians like me. I can vouch for no chick flicks. Sorry, Im too darn macho for that. lol Misty will trick me into watching some and they just dont stick in my head like the comedic ones do. (Did that sound intellectual enough for you)

From walter on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 23:58:06

I just thought of another great movie or two. The Fisher King and The Big labowski. They are movies to watch when your coming off meds. lol

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 23:59:24

Don't even get me started on the Big Lebowski. I know it by heart. You know that viking photo shoot I'm supposed to do? It's after Maude Lebowski!! (who is nothing like me at ALL whatsoever, but still- cool beans!)

The Dude abides.

From Lucia on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 00:03:57

I still can't see the pics, and don't want to read all these comments to figure out how to do it, could you please please post a link somewhere???

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 00:12:14

Im the Dude man! I just want my rug man! Rachel, heck of funny! Lucia, Thats a movie to watch as you come off of anesthesia! lol

Lucia Ill check for you its somewhere on one of my days last week.

From montelepsy on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 10:02:58

Something about Mary is definitely a chick flick because it's a love story. The greatest love story ever told.

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 10:16:00

Well agreed Mike there should be no leaving that movie out! How'd you get the beans above the frank? lol

From Camille on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 10:27:57

LOL That's awful. Even worse, I have an uncle who somehow did that. He ended up in the emergency room (as I'm sure you can imagine).

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 13:45:55

Oh, hey, I like 50 First Dates!!! It was FUNNY.

From Michelle N. on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 14:25:42

I like 50 First Dates also but I'm with Rachel or Mike on that one. Sean Astin is hilarious in it. He makes me think of the ROID users at the gym. And there are plenty. It keeps me entertained at the gym to try and figure out who uses. It isn't hard to tell. There are even a few women that do.

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 14:44:45

Oh crap Camille! too funny!

Kelli, yes that was a good movie. By the way I saw your behemoth SUV in front of the Gym this morning as I was going to work. Ok I was stalking you. lol

Michelle, what do you mean its hard to tell who's on the juice? They can be spotted from mars! lol

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 14:54:17

You should have come in and run on the treadmill with me, or done some kickboxing!

And, when you have 5 kids, you can have a massive SUV. Oh, wait, you already have a massive truck with a much larger carbon footprint than my SUV!

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 15:10:32

Carbon footprint? Where do you environmentalists come from? lol I was waiting for that comment to come. I was just being a politician ok? Next time Im out there, Ill spray paint that great big black assault vehicle. huh?

From RivertonPablo on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 15:15:20

Oops, meant to post here to increase your total.

From Michelle N. on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 16:01:53

Great work Paul. This conversation is much more productive than Sasha's:)

Walter, read my previous comment one more time and not that I said "It ISN'T hard to tell"!

Is there something wrong with having a gianormous family wagon? I tried to save the planet and drive a Mini Van. My self esteem suffered WAY to much.

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:00:16

Thanks Paul! lol

Michelle, I missed it sorry! Ok your not as blonde as I made you out to be. Forgive me? (Back rub) Because I sometimes (back rub) read too fast and (back rub) miss things. Hey maybe I owe you a back rub? lol I hope (im a dork)you picked up (im a dork)on my subliminal messages. (im a dork)

From Michelle N. on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:02:00

Hey, as long as you admit it, we are all good:)

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:02:39

Michelley, Im not trying to give you a complex on the sub urban assault vehicles you all drive. I have one myself. Im trying to figure out how to convert it to water driven! lol or air? Then I can have a profit and not loss next to my business name.

From Camille on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:04:04

I wonder if subliminal messages like that would work on my husband. If I say "back rub" after every thought, do you think I'd get one?

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:07:29

Camille, you have to say them quick and under your breath! It works you should try it!

From Camille on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:08:15

hey, if it will get me a back rub, it is *definitely* worth a try. I'll report back.

From Michelle N. on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:10:41

Hey Camille, totally works for me. I just complain that my back hurts and WHAM I get a back rub. The key here is I have to fall asleep really fast (know what I mean).

Walter-Did you not notice how cheap gas was today. It is almost as cheap as a gallon of bottled water. I never thought the day would come that I would think $2.99 was cheap for gas but it has happened.

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:16:56

Michelle N- Ouch! Where did that come from? No wonder your miles are up right now, you have all that bottled up anger waiting for Walter to help you release! lol kiddin' aside, you are my idol right now with all your running! Keep it up.

From Michelle N. on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:20:11

Walter, I don't have any anger. I guess I need to make sure I put the LOL's next to my sarcasm. I am never mean or angry, I just ALWAYS joke around. That's what happens when you are raised as the only girl with 5 manly brothers.

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:25:01

What ever, you are a meanie! At least every 28 days or so. jk I know your personality. Its great! I will try my darndest to run with you all tomorrow.

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:26:59

Yeah, the Chevron in Herriman was 3.49 for diesel. Time to fill up.

From Michelle N. on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 17:47:11

Yahoo! Celebrate the gas drop. I see the economy mending already:)

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 18:03:27

Now we just need the banks to actually lend money to us!

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 18:53:56

I just filled on my monster SUV for less than $100. That is the first time in months, maybe even over a year! yippee!!!

Michelle, I w=so was thinking what you said about getting that back rub and then falling asleep fast!! A favor for a favor, unfortunately!

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 18:56:42

So its a planned thing you women do huh? Im so glad im on this blog! I freakin' knew that whole headache thing was a lie!

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 18:57:17

Oh, it is not a lie. Men most assuredly give me a headache.

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 18:59:17

Well your welcome! Excuse me! Oh yah, and I faked mine too!

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 19:02:33

Uh-oh, you are gonna get yourself kicked off of here, buddy!!!

Okay, new movie quote for ya:

I'm stupid. You're smart. I was wrong. You were right. You're the best. I'm the worst. You're very good looking. I'm not very attractive.

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 19:04:22

Or, how about:

Well, "sorry" doesn't put the Triscuit crackers in my stomach now, does it?

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 19:17:10

You stumped me on the trisquits but the your smart I was wrong sounds familiar. Give me a clue.

From Burt on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 19:18:05

A little Adam Sandler action going on there Kelli.

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 19:19:23

One of my favorite movie quotes is from John candy and Ill see if you know it. "We'd have better luck playing pick up sticks with our butt cheeks, than getting out of here tonight."

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 19:24:21

From kungfublonde on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 19:26:55

You mean, "good job, Rachel!"

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 19:35:18

You blow me away Rache! You too Burt. Ok we are definitely weird people here! I think I need to change this topic or start a new blog. I dont want to be the one guy on the blog that has too much time on his hands talking about useless stuff.

From Camille on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 23:33:18

I so had that one. I didn't get the first line, but the "Well, "sorry" doesn't put the Triscuit crackers in my stomach now, does it?" line.

Side track back to the gas conversation... I use to be able to fill my tank up with 10 bucks, so depressing. But today I saw it for 2.89. Anyhow, it still depresses me. I'm starting to feel like one of those people that say "when I was a kid, I could buy candy for a nickle"

From walter on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 23:46:51

We're a dying breed you know?

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 00:55:32

When I was a kid, we had to blog on a... We didn't have blogs when I was a kid.

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 01:18:40

We passed notes, Mike :)

I didn't like the Camry when we first got it. I mean, it's a great car, but I hated giving up my "cool mom" car (Jeep Cherokee, country). Now it costs me $50 to fill the tank, and it lasts all week. I like the Camry just fine.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 01:56:55

We didnt have paper back then. lol

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 02:02:13

At least you can read my writing now, hon.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 02:05:29

Who yooou calling hon? jk I know, that is funny. If I wanted to blog when I was a kid, id probably be sent to jail. lol

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 02:12:41

I was calling Rachel "hon". Walter, you're "babe".

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 02:13:54

Hey babe! Only 43 comments left to tie with number one!

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 02:20:21

Uh oh, is this going to be another "I got you babe" karaoke duet with Walter, Mike??

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 02:27:59

Hmm. Toss the run sync idea. Garmin scientists need to add a karaoke function.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 07:36:44

Mike I think you need to come home now. Youve been with the guys long enough. lol

dun dun dun dun, dun Ive got you babe.

Hows that Rachel?

A karoke watch, hum...

From Camille on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 09:20:46

Okay, random thought, but if the watches have a karoke function, is there a way to sync them to have a dance off function?

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 09:31:02

Even better Camille! I think if we put our heads together we may be able to retire early and concentrate on our running career!

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 09:37:53

Mine were easy, as I mentioned I liked Adam Sandler movies.

How about:

Evil will always triumph over good because good is dumb.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 09:46:53

Spaceballs?

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 10:07:09

How did you get that so fast? Did you google it?

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 10:11:49

No, thats one of my favorites! Also Coneheads. We come from France. Where did you get those sensor rings young lady, your cone is too young! lol

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 10:14:37

My kids love Coneheads, which surprises me becasue it is so old!

From Camille on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 10:15:21

Dang. I got Kelli's post in my email and rushed over here as fast as I could to type Space Balls, but apparently Walter beat me!

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 10:46:22

Im getting better Camille! lol Ill think of more at work today.

Kelli, coneheads was so stupid on saturday night live but the movie made me laugh. Probably because they put the actors from the 80's in it!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 12:44:42

Wowwie! I missed out last night. You guys discussed some good ones. My favorite line from any movie is from Planes, Trains and Autos..."First baby come out sideways, she didn't scream or nothin'!"

I had a couple of natural child births and my dad thinks it is sooo funny to repeat that line to me often.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 13:56:27

Yes Planes trains, is a good one, We'd have better luck playing pick up sticks with our butt cheeks then getting out of here tonight. Theres another one I like in that movie if you know it well. Its Ive never seen anyone get picked up by his b****'s before!

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 14:00:16

"Gentlemen, please rest your sphincters."

Scott's favorite DUMB movie!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 14:02:22

You guys lost me. Tell me and I'll probably remember.

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 14:05:10

Wait, I think I just had a major blonde moment. Didn't you just say that was from PT&A's? Duh on me. I know that movie pretty well but that isn't ringing a bell.

Kelli, what was your's from.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 14:33:33

Is that from Pet detective Kelli?

Michelle, Its the part where Steve Martin gets hit at the airport and then the guy grabs him by the crotch to pick him up.

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 14:50:29

I don't remember that movie at all.

Speaking of crotches, I used to work at bungee jump place. Jumpers had a chest and a seat harness and the cord attached to both of them at your midsection. They were supposed to dive head first, but one guy jumped with his feet orientated downward. At the bottom of his jump the cord was between his legs. Ouch!

So he hit the bottom of his jump that way and then the cord propelled him like a sling shot with his crotch as leverage.

We felt so bad, but we couldn't stop laughing.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 14:54:02

Wow Mike you are a compassionate person! lol You felt bad but couldnt stop laughing! I would be rolling off the platform laughing myself! Did he have a hard time walking and talking after that!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 14:56:29

That reminds me of OLD SKOOL. Love that movie. My neighbor is a stunt man and he did the rigging for the cinder blocks tied to the special purpose scene. He said it was pretty funny.

Speaking of SPECIAL PURPOSE. Name the movie that was from.

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 14:56:58

He could limp and talk afterward. Good thing is it's so strechy that it wasn't a major impact. Too bad we didn't tape that one. It's burned in my memory forever, though.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:00:36

Its too bad you didnt get it on video. You could have made the 10,000 winning prize for sure! lol

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:02:08

Okay, did you totally ignore my last entry?

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:05:55

The Jerk

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:07:39

Okay good, I thought maybe you guys didn't know that one. That is probably the best movie ever!

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:08:34

No of coarse not Michelley, do I need to come over there? lol I was responding to your other mail I got. Ok so Special purpose is not in my vocabulary for movies right now. The only special place is on Mad tv with stuart. lol

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:10:51

The Jerk is one movie Rachel and I definitely agree on. You may be a genius Michelle N. You should apply for MENSA.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:11:22

Thats right the Jerk! Im somebody, Im in the phone book. Ill just take this lamp and this phone and thats all i need, and this... funny!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:14:22

Okay Walter, you make me laugh when you call me Michelley. That is what my grandpa always called me. But he died when I was 13. What is MENSA Mike, I'm confused? Am I going to look totally blonde for not knowing?

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:18:15

As long as I dont offend, it is all good!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:23:26

Awesome! I'd get in for sure. I tell ya, 5 brothers makes me a very interesting person. Especially with the 5 crude brothers I have.

You boys are going to have to beat Sasha's record on your own. I have to be a wife and mom now for a little while and get some laundry done. Have a good day and have fun in Boston, Walter.

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:24:02

I just googled it. It's not an acronym like I thought. Mensa is latin for table. I didn't stick around long enough to read how that's relevant to being a genius, though.

From montelepsy on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:26:23

Mike Es war gut mit ihnen zu sprechen! (It was good to talk to you)

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 15:56:38

Thanks Michelle, owe it to ya!

From Camille on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 16:09:20

Walter - did you make that up?

I don't think I've ever seen The Jerk. Nor have I seen The Airplanes, Trains, Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, etc. Movie you guys are quoting. Maybe I am lame after all.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 16:33:11

Your not lame Camille, you just have alot of movies to watch!

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 17:24:33

My quote was from BLAZING SADDLES. I can see why you would think it was a Jim Carrey movie, though!

My dad absolutely LOVES the jerk. i have never made it all of the way through it, though. I do like Steve Martin.

This is from a movie I love (fairly recent): "Marriage is like a tense, unfunny version of Everybody Loves Raymond, only it doesn't last 22 minutes. It lasts forever."

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 17:28:02

Kelli, I saw it but can't remember. Help me out.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 17:46:42

im stumped!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 17:46:58

I just noticed my last comment got Walter's discussion tied with Sasha so I thought I'd make one more just to take it over the top! YAY, GO WALTER!

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 17:51:02

Om my goodness! Michelle! Id like to thank my people who kept my useless banter on for so long and when I get back from Boston on Tuesday night, I hope to have an official speech for your efforts. lol Carry on, be careful out there and keep some sunshine on your faces!

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 18:29:32

I actually had to look that one up becasue I could not remember the exact quote, just the gist of it. It was from Knocked Up.

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 19:43:21

I havnt seen that one yet Kelli. What do you think my life is made of watching movies? lol

From Kelli on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 20:55:26

Then you missed a funny one, albeit a little crass and a lot of swearing!

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 23:15:13

I somehow am able to block out the swearing probably from my work etiquette. My guys that work for me were all hired at the local truck stop. lol

From Camille on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 23:21:19

Oh, I had that one! Dang it! Once again, someone beat me. I was pregnant when I saw that movie, and there were parts that freaked me out. LOL

From walter on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 23:30:13

Wow Camille, talk about injustice! Watching that when your pregnant. lol

From kungfublonde on Thu, Oct 23, 2008 at 23:46:21

wow, I'm so late here. The Jerk is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Mike fell in love with me for introducing it to him. And for my mad cooking skillz.

And I really liked Knocked Up. I didn't expect to at all.

Man, I missed two quotes I could have totally nailed in this blog tonight! Grrrr!!!

From montelepsy on Fri, Oct 24, 2008 at 01:45:50

Okay time to get serious.

Compare and contrast, North America and South America.

Go!

From Camille on Fri, Oct 24, 2008 at 12:56:34

Walter - it was definitely injustice seeing that movie while pregnant. LOL Brandon took me to it when I was just in my second trimester, and by time the movie ended, I was trying to find the "undo" button. I told him he promised me a comedy but took me to a horror flick.

Mike - I don't know about you and Rachel any more. She pulls out Eisten's explanation for the equivalence of energy and matter, and you want to compare and contrast North and South America. What happened?

From jake on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 09:05:08

Ya im Jody's son and what is the giant box for?

From walter on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 13:02:14

Hey Jake! good to see Jody's family on here! Hopefully she has influenced you a bit into running.

The giant box is a mistake. I was trying to post a photo and this is what came out! You guys definitely more computer savvy than I do. Good to have you on here.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:09:24

Ok to wrap this up I would just like to say how idiotic this discussion of no true subject was! It shows how i can start a sentence and go off the subject. And off the subject very badly! Thanks to my people for humoring me! Let this go down as the not so great, horrible, nonsense, objectionable, moment in my life. Thank you Now go RUN!

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:35:12

Are you really going to let this one end. It was a GREAT conversation. Someones just needs to spark it back up.

From walter on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 17:43:01

Oh michelle please! lol I could hit a thousand easily being on a dead subject. lol

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 18:49:38

Come on, Sparky! I can't run yet, so I have plenty of time to keep beating this dead horse. Let's see, what was this blog about? Dumb movies?

From walter on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 19:40:59

Your the reason Sparkys blog is at such a high number. lol

From kungfublonde on Sat, Nov 08, 2008 at 12:28:16

No Walter, it's you and your magnetic personality and your stellar blogging skills.

Do you feel like this blog is a version of that movie, Groundhog Day?

From walter on Sat, Nov 08, 2008 at 15:04:27

Well put Rachel, Groundhog day was a classic! Yes it is a version of that! You know ive never been called sparky before. lol you cant make me laugh in my fragile state right now.

From Michelle N. on Sun, Nov 09, 2008 at 12:41:59

Sparky! That is great Rachel. We all love the "Vacation" movies. I think the original "Vacation" and "Christmas Vacation" are my favorites. Although "Vegas Vacation" had some moments. I Love Cousin Eddie.

From walter on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 00:55:21

Thats funny, in my rehab of not being able to walk yet, I went through my personal library and have been watching my favorites. I watched Vegas Vacation with my Daughter Bailey (6) twice this weekend. My daughter has her mommas good looks and her daddies sense of balance! lol

From Michelle N. on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 17:02:04

From walter on Mon, Nov 10, 2008 at 22:46:20

I just had a flashback and no Im not on any meds! Its Without a Paddle! Its on tonight on cable and it has a great scene when they are in a pot field. The other one is when their clothes are gone and they have to huddle up together to stay warm. Oh so funny!

From camille on Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 08:28:04

I love that movie. Funny story. My dad got that movie for Christmas a few years ago and showed us his favorite part (where they are running from the bear and the one guy takes off his shoes and tells Seth Green's charactor that he doesn't have to out run the bear, he just has to out run him). anyhow, Brandon thought it was funny and decided that we should rent the movie. We go to the video store and he is searching forever for "Up a Creek". Hilarious. He askes the guy that works there where Up a Creek is, and he types it in and tells Brandon they don't have it. Brandon throws a little bit of a fit. I didn't realize he had the title wrong until then. I have fun reminding him of that mistake. :o) (Everytime we watch it :oP )

From walter on Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 09:54:08

There are definitely alot of funny parts in it. That is a funny story.

From Camille on Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 09:59:13

:o) It may be one of those "You had to be there stories", but I thought it was funny. Poor Brandon has to put up with me.

From walter on Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 19:55:58

no its funny Camille! I dont need to be there! lol ok then, Hows your cousin doing? have you heard from her lately!

From montelepsy on Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 08:23:19

My mom was looking for Blades of Glory and kept asking the clerk for Gay Blade...

From walter on Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 09:23:37

Its a good thing he didnt get her a movie from the back of the store. Lol

From Camille on Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 09:24:57

Walter,

Brandon, Melanie and I are going to take the long trip to Missouri to celebrate Thanksgiving with her. I'm excited. It has been 5.5 years since I've seen her, and I have never met her little girl. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get her on the phone, but I have talked with her mom, who says she is doing alright. hmmm... We'll see. Their anniversary is coming up, so I'm sure that has to be hard.

Thanks for asking.

From walter on Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 09:31:23

Yeah keep trying to talk to her. Maybe invite her on this blog even if she doesnt run. That will be a long drive for you but there are alot of things there you can stop and see.

From Burt on Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 10:30:31

From Kelli on Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 23:44:14

From walter on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 00:06:05

Is addicting isnt it Burt!?

Kelli, My wife forbids me to go see the latest one that he is in so Ill have to wait for it to come out on dvd. I think its called jungle fever. So what kind of van are we going to be crammed into?

From kungfublonde on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 03:04:40

i missed the new one. I'm dying to see it. you mean tropic thunder, right? because jungle Fever is something else ENTIRELY.

tropic thunder mocks hollywood, from what i understand. it's suposed to be terrible, but in a good way :)

From montelepsy on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 04:03:28

Guys,

Let's play mad libs!

I've got jungle fevah, and the only prescription is more (noun).

From walter on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 09:32:19

Rachel, YES its called Tropic thunder. Jungle Fever is probably a porn huh? Oh my gosh. It definitely sounds like one. Couldnt sleep last night? you were up late! I mean early.

Mike, the only noun I could think of is Tang, (the drink of the astronauts). You should have asked for the Noun first. I was just placing the best fit. lol OMG, I am such a perv. Sorry everyone else on here.

From Kelli on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 09:46:23

I think my suburban Walter. Unless you want to rent a big 15 passenger van. But the suburban worked well for the WBR, we did not sleep much, but there was room for us and all of our crap and lots of food!!!

Are you going to be able to run?

I can not think of a noun, too tired. BUT I do think that Tropic Thunder looks kind of funny. Can you rent it yet?

From Lucia on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 09:48:03

Be careful Wall-e!!!

Has anyone seen "Run Fatboy Run"?

From Michelle N. on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 09:48:21

Mike, I'm not sure if the fevah needs more Cow Bell but that is what I was thinking but I don't think it said Jungel Fevah did it? Love SNL! Especially the Best ofs!

Thanks Michelle and Blondie, I'll rent it then!

This is the blog that never ends, indeed! Is that a song? I don't recognize it!

From kungfublonde on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 11:31:37

It is a children's song, about a song that never ends. I'll sing it for you- karaoke!!

Jungle Fever is pretty racy. The other stuff on this blog has all been pretty tame. Thank goodness :)

From walter on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 14:23:04

ok kelli, do you know about hotels yet? I have family down there in Scottsdale and then theres the possibility of staying with bloggers on here. I stayed a night with Lybi last year.

Lucia, I have seen Run Fat boy Run. It was good!

Michelle, they have been doing the 101 top SNL spots and Ill have to watch to see if it comes out on dvd. I have been buying a full year of SNL starting in '76 and want to get all of them. I love SNL! Its my dream to go try out for SNL you know!

Blondie, Shaun of the dead? This is the blog that never ends! It could go on and on I guess, if we jumped to Rachels blog while she is feeling very Ill. then we can talk of other movies like how to kill bill!(how was that?)

Burt, I have seen parts of that movie, but never start to finish.

Ok Rachel, Im waiting for you to sing it! Post your voice on here! lol

From Kelli on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 18:28:11

It takes forever to scroll to the bottom...

Walter, we are staying with my sister. We are binging all of the kids and making a vacation out of it. We have never been to her house!! We do not get out much, two cheapskates marrying each other is a sad life for kids!

From walter on Thu, Nov 13, 2008 at 21:01:16

Yes its beyond silly Kelli! I agree. Well, that will be nice to have your family with you. My next question was on a ride down there. So How loud are your kids exactly?

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 03:06:06

Shaun of the Dead- the zombie movie for wimps like me who don't like scary movies. I do like action movies though. Kill Bill!

You can try to hijack my blog, but it will never be as successful as this one :)

I'll see what I can do about the singing. I'm almost as good as lambchop... I actually think my voice is quite similar to hers...

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 05:53:09

Lambchop huh? Funny! do you have a puppet?

From Michelle N. on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 10:01:56

So, when I saw Shaun of the Dead, I thought it was SOOOOO stupid but much like Napolean Dynamite, it got funnier with time. Still not in my top ten pick but funny. I think I liked Run Fat Boy Run just because of the topic of the movie.

From Lucia on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 10:04:39

I watched Run Fatboy Run yesterday - it was pretty funny! I bet Walter has running shorts just like that!!!

Kill Bill is awesome - is that where your nicknames come from, Montelepsy and Kungfublonde? I don't remember that part...

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 10:11:51

From Lucia on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 10:13:13

Oh I know you would! There is a naked run for charity in a small town in Pennsylvania - you should do it! Hey, it's for charity!

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 10:18:00

How can you speak so, Michelle? I'm glad you came around eventually.

During military training, my instructor sent me to the clinic to see if I had narcolepsy. I didn't have it, but my roommate had a nickname for me. It was better than O.T. Monkey which is what the others called me. Or worse. I can't decide.

Rachel and I were brainstorming a handle for her and Kill Bill had just come out and voila.

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 10:19:55

From Lucia on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 10:27:21

They're both great nicknames!

Wall-e, if Bart Yasso did it, then you have to! It's co-ed but you'd have to go really slow to run with the girls :)

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 13:41:01

If you can convince more bloggers on here, then Ill do it. I probably will have to run slow then! lol Oh misty is going to kill me when she reads this. I mean, if i run slow, then it will not hurt me as bad. lol

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 13:50:02

I'll run backwards for the best view.

From Michelle N. on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 13:51:32

There is the movie The Naked Mile. Really naughty. It's one of the American Pie series. Maybe you could watch it and get some pointers.

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 13:59:24

Michelle, I hope theres not too many pointers. lol Oh crap this is the best subject by far!

From Michelle N. on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:01:23

From Michelle N. on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:04:59

I really ought to get out of this one.

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:09:08

I can just picture a couple of guys sitting around trying to figure out how to get this done and one of them saying let's start up a charity. Then there's a bunch of high-fiving and dudes yelling "Score"!

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:11:00

I love Beauty and the Beast! It is my all time favorite Disney.

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:23:46

Walter,

I would tape my race number in a strategic place to avoid that issue.

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:24:33

Nicely done Mike! lol My favorites are Hot lead and Cold Feet. and Return from Witch Moutain.

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:25:29

Monsters Inc so kicks Beauty and the Beast's butt!

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:27:35

Was Return to Witch Mountain the sequel? I wanted to rent that for the kids, but couldn't remember anything about the movies except the fact that I loved them.

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:28:26

Good point Mike! Where would you put your number? And can you imagine the rush to get your clothes at the finish or do you suppose it just turns into a nudist colony!?

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:31:07

Would it be cheating if I origamied my race number into a pair of briefs? I'm very modest.

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:32:28

Mike, no it wasnt a sequel. I dont think it was anyway. I liked song of the south. I remember going to the theater and seeing that one. You cant find a copy of that one. except on the black market. Wow, I wasnt trying to be funny there.

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:33:50

Mike, that would be cheating! Its all or nothing baby! Plus its for Charity! come on!

From Michelle N. on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:33:59

Mike, I do like monsters but I LOVE Beauty and the Beast. I would also think the origamied briefs would disqualify you.

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:34:19

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:36:52

But you were funny Walter. I meant to type that immediately after you said you weren't trying to be funny.

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:38:48

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:39:16

oohh ok. Most of the time i put off that laugh reflex just by looking at me. Or like Michelle said, you know its coming, you know no one else is going to comment and then bam! There it is on Walters blog.

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:42:44

What about Beauty and the Beast makes it better than Monsters Inc? I must admit I do like Gaston's song. A lot.

From Lucia on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:46:16

Monsters Inc FO SHO!

But, my favorites are still Bambi and Dumbo, hands down.

From Michelle N. on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:47:15

It was one of the early Disney's and it reminds me of high school. I used to watch it with my cute niece who at the time was 3. For me I like it more but like I said Monsters Inc is a good one. Oh, and I know every word throughout the whole movie along with all the songs. I also really love the Little Mermaid for the same reasons as above.

From montelepsy on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 14:51:19

Folks,

I've been staying awake to see if Rachel would call but it's way past my bedtime.

I have fun goofing off, but I must get some sleep.

Wish me G-rated dreams.

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 15:14:36

HEY! Why didn't you call?? You were busy talking about naked man time and Disney movies (how did those get mixed in together??)

I've been painting away waiting for my phone to beep. Lame.

And Monster's Inc is one of the best. Early Disney is stuff like Jungle Book, which is my all-time favorite Disney. I'm not a big fan of 90's Disney stuff.

Also, Mike lied. He's not modest at ALL. He is however phenomenal at oragami. He sent an oragami dragonfly to Madeline in the mail once when he was away. She opened the envelope and unfolderd the paper, looking for the letter. She was all angry that he hadn't written anything to her. I guess it had taken him like two days to make. :(

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 15:30:45

Forgot to say that "Be our Guest" and the Gaston song are both great though, and Amanda was the cutest Belle ever for halloween in 8th grade.

And I didn't like Little Mermaid, but I love that Sebastian character and his songs. "Kiss the Girl" is great :)

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 15:40:40

You didn't like Little Mermaid? When I was younger, I use to have the whole movie memorized... Actually, I probably still do. That movie and all the other Disney movies that came out before that... I never liked Pocahontas (spelling?), Hunchback, Lilo and Stich, Tarzan is okay, not my favorite. I started liking them again after the Toy Story came out.

That is funny about the dragonfly.

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 15:46:32

Yeah, they had a string of movies I didn't care for. I like the early stuff (LOVE Dumbo), and then when Toy Story came out it got good again. People always freak out when Mike and I tell people we didn't like Lion King.

All the movies have some good parts, a song or a fun character. But the 90's weren't good times for Disney in my opinion.

Is Finding Nemo Disney or Pixar, or both? I always get that mixed up. But I loved that movie too.

Not touching the naked running topic, huh Camille? :)

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 15:54:02

Disney felt like a safe topic :o)

Lion King didn't really do it for me. I remember going to the theator to see it as a sneak peak and thinking "that's it?"

Finding Nemo is both Disney and Pixar.

I loved the Great Mouse Detective growing up, and Bednobs and Broomsticks. Infact, Angela Lansbury was my favorite actress for the longest time.

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 15:55:02

ps. I'm currently writing the invites for my little girl's birthday party and decided talking about the naked mile at the same time would just be wrong. LOL

Oh oh oh I got one! Lady and the Tramp!!! Who doesn't love that one!!!

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:00:47

Camille, I can see your invites now. "Please come to our naked b-day party" RSVP. lol

What are you painting Rachel? a picture or the housew

Lucia, my nickname in school was flowers. I think it was from me quoting Bambi when I said you can call me a flower if you want to, I dont mind.

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:01:01

That's a good one Lucia. I bought that on DVD a few years ago and pulled it out the other day. Melanie actually watched most of it and laughed at the dogs. :o)

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:02:29

LOL Flower is such a fitting nickname for you. J/K. Yeah, it would be scare to see who would show up in their birthday suite if asked to. I have an interesting family.

From Lucia on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:05:27

Here's some Bambi trivia: supposedly, Disney got the inspiration to draw the forest in the movie when he traveled to Patagonia and visited the Arrayanes forest - there are only two places in the world where you can find a forest with those kinds of trees, one is, I believe, in Japan and the other in Argentina. But although the forest in the movie does look similar to the Arrayanes forest, there are no bambis in Patagonia!

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:05:35

Yeah im in the same boat Camille, my side of the family is too.

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:07:42

Interesting Trivia, Lucia!

Walter - I figure there is no such thing as the "Beavers". Just, some families belong on Jerry Springer more than others.

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:08:31

Lucia, I didnt know that! Thanks for the Geometry lesson. You world traveler you! I dont even know where Patagonia is or the Arrayanes forest. Ill have to Google that.

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:09:21

Bambi is too sad.

Flower? I'm sticking with Sparky.

Lady and the Tramp is good. I loved the Rescuers when I was little but saw it again recently and wasn't crazy about it. I Still like 101 Dalmations though.

My house, Walter. The entire inside of my house. Cabinets, doors, trim, and all the walls. I'm an idiot for taking this on.

From kungfublonde on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:11:16

I totally believe in the Cleaver Family. Notice they never showed their extended family though. And I'm pretty sure Eddie Haskle is related to me.

My bad, you are right, the Cleaver family. (Thanks!)

Bambi is sad. I couldn't watch it as a kid. Bambi's mom dies, and then all the fire. Too much. I liked the Rescuers Down Under over the Rescuers. I don't remember much of it now though.

Camille, my little brother hid behind a tree and got drunk at my and Mike's wedding. He was... 15 or 16. It was shortly after that he started wearing black vinyl pants and dying his red, curly hair black. And he dyed his eyebrows too, so it would look more "natural." He looked like Groucho Marx in leather pants. I think next it was a cape... He was a fun little guy for his teen years =^P

Rachel - you would DIE if you saw pictures of my brother in his teenage years. It's bad! LOL

...I should have posted that on your blog, Camille, with the picture from your wedding. I guess I posted it on Walter's blog out of habit- haha :)

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:26:00

LOL Did you see the new pictures I posted today?

From Burt on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:33:39

Walter, why don't you google the word "geography" while you're at it.

No need to look at Camille's pictures. She'll be taking at least one of them down soon.

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:36:08

Camille You look like an absolute princess in your wedding photo! You look marvelous! (Billy Crystal) Great photos of you and Burt!

From Burt on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:38:48

Did I say she'll be taking one down or three? I meant three.

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:48:09

Walter - Thank you! :o)

Burt - What makes you so sure?

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 16:49:45

I realized most of the photos of Camille where when she was wearing sunglasses. I guess its a norm in the land of the Sun huh? We think its because your trying to hide something. lol

Actually, I'm blind, and those are my glasses. But, I have transistional lenses, so they are dark when I'm outside. :o)

From Kelli on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 17:07:07

Walter, you DID not want to go to lunch with my mom and I (and my sister, and 4 kids). BELIEVE ME!

From walter on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 17:18:25

Kelli Ok maybe so, but wouldnt that be weird when your mom asks Whos that? Oh thats a guy that runs with us.

Camille, I hear you on that I was amazed when I saw a bungee from him to another runner.

From Camille on Fri, Nov 14, 2008 at 17:33:39

That sounds dangerous. I bet it took him a lot of practice to get that down. Good for him!!!

The one that touched me the most was the father pushing his son who is in his 20's with cerebral Palsy. When they got to heartbreak hill, his son insisted on going up it with his legs pushing the wheelchair backwards. I caught them on that hill and started getting choked up to the point of tears! I stopped and cheered him on as well as the crowd. Very awesome moment in the Walter Brown marathons.
