You look a little like Alfalfa in your new pic.:) I won't even post my SG pics though cuz it looks like someone took a toilet brush to my hair. I look really pretty (pretty ugly:) I'm glad to know I haven't been the only slacker this week. I've slept way too much and now I'm gonna have a tough time getting back in the swing of things. Tomorrow is the day though.

From walter on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 12:50:32

I saw your photos and you look like a cute little wet puppy! lol I think I look more like medussa! The thing is in every photo, I look like im by myself! I ran with a group most of the way. besides my potty breaks. Good thing they didnt take me doing that huh!? Good to hear from you!

From Michelle N. on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 13:35:24

I'm pretty sure the helicopter took a picture of me peeing at one point. I was behind a barricade and it was only like 150 feet from me. I waved, he waved back. Very comical. Hopefully those don't pop up somewhere:)

From walter on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 14:47:20

Funny, I hate to tell you this but I know the guy in the helicopter. Im going to ask him about that! lol How embarrassing! Well I had my same moment in Boston last year. A cop wanted to arrest me for peeing. Too bad there was about 20 other people doing the same thing by me.

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 17:42:15

What in the fruity pebbles....I like that.

Your picture is too fuzzy. We need a better one so that everyone will KNOW you look like AlfAlfa.

I looked great in my pictures, I do not know what your guys' problem was!

From walter on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 19:33:45

Kelli, yeah yeah, your so photogenic! If I was as hot as you Id be a model and wouldnt have anytime for running. I actually have a bunch of great wakeboard shots but I dont know how to shrink them.

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 19:56:55

I know how to shrink them---Jon taught me!! Install this on your computer:

http://www.vso-software.fr/products/image_resizer/

Now we will see just how cool you are!

From Kelli on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 19:57:43

Oh, and it is quite hard to find the time to fight off all of my fans and stalkers to fit in the running! If I was not so hot, I would be really fast!

From walter on Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 22:47:25

Thanks Kelli, Ill try that website. Oh I did have my own stalker in H.S. She snuck to my basement window and I thought I heard something so I went up stairs and told my Dad and he went out and caught her. He told her he wouldnt call the cops if she left me alone. Thats my only case to date. Ive just gotten uglier since then. Some get better after they lose their baby fat! How do you put your photos on your post?

From wheakory on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 16:34:00

Great picture Walter... it looks like your having more fun in this picture than the one you had up for St. George.

From walter on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 16:50:43

Kory, most definitely! I admit I plan my powell trip every year around this time. This year turned out to be completely awesome. Last year there was a horrible wind storm.

From Kelli on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 17:03:38

I see you figured it all out. Good job!

From walter on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 17:11:34

No I want to know how to put my photo on my post comment. How do you do that?

From Kelli on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 17:55:22

OH!!! Yeah, I can not figure that out. As kingfublonde---she did it.

From Lybi on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 00:01:13

Whoa Walter! Catching some air, there! What a cool new picture. I just thought I would drop by to harass you about the fact that you missed your run, in the fond hope that you will return the favor someday (as if I would ever miss, right?)

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 00:05:34

Walter- I was going to stalk you, but I am not a good swimmer. Sit on a beach somewhere to make it a little easier for me. And come closer to where I live. I'm a lazy stalker.

Did you get the picture thing figured out yet? I responded to you on my blog. The conversation gets confusing when it's spread over different blogs :)

From walter on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 00:25:29

Lybi-Thanks for the slap in the face. lol I will wake up early tomorrow if my alarm goes off. We will see! I may need a wake up call. for 5:15 if you dont mind. Leave it to Lybi to kick me into gear! Thanks

To my Stalker- Maybe you can find a way to stalk me while Im on this and fix all my problems. I may even pay you for it. lol I hear you on getting confused from different blogs. I actually check my email from my phone and cannot figure out the conversation until I get home and see the big picture.

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 00:40:17

Do you get blog notifications? I can't seem to get mine to work. Private messages, either. Sasha said it might be because I'm on aol.

If you're at work trying to get invoices printed, how annoying are these chatty blog comments :)

No "big picture" needed on this one- it was just random babble!

From walter on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 00:45:52

I dont get blog notifications. But I do get the private messages. Thats weird. Hey did you tell me your name? I have been so busy Im losing it. So I guess You just have to walk by your computer every so often or just wait for it to get to you. lol

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 00:58:41

haha- did you suddenly realize you don't know who I am? :)

Rachel, Mrs. Montelepsy.

When I am emailing or working on the computer, I switch back and forth to check the running blog every now and then. So far my system is working...

From walter on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:03:44

Its a great system Rachel. I do remember people calling you that now that I think of it. So as soon I have time to fiddle with my stuff I can show the running community my photos. But I have to take this computer back. its too small and doesnt have the 10 key like im used to on the side. I dont want to get to crazy with loading stuff on this one. Thank goodness for the 90 day exchange program that Costco has huh!? lol

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:10:07

Yes! I hear you on that :)

I upload all my photos on flickr from my desktop computer, so I can access them from this laptop.

I like posting pictures on the blog so when Mike signs on, he can see family. I dont want him to forget about us, with all the pizza parties and card games and working out he has going on in Iraq!

From walter on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:17:00

Talk about a mission! I would be getting stir crazy having to do that. I am so grateful for people like him though! It really earks me when CNN talks crap about the things our soldiers are doing. We honestly should pull our troops out and send them dip (no swear words please) over there! It would really get interesting then. My eyes would be glued to the set! Then the soldiers could be doing the negative commenting huh!? Ohh my fantasties are so overwhelming sometimes! lol

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:22:43

Mike is project manager for a group putting in water systems in areas that have never had running water before. And he participates in as many missions as he can to do things like distributing toys to local children. He works 7 days a week, averaging 14 hour days. He is making the best of it, and feels good about the work he is doing. But no, it's not easy and I don't think most people could handle it. it's easy to criticize from the comfort of your own home, right?

From walter on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:27:25

Oh hell yeah it is! It really bothers me how anti American they have become. You know part of the problems we are facing right now are from them if you think about it! The economy, Banking, They have it so blown up that they make you have this mistrust in anyone and everyone! It doesnt bother them because it confirms their belief when they see the outcome go there way! And they are the ones initiating it! Im glad Mike is over there. Honestly he should make his next mission to conquer the press! A war on the press! Too good!

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:32:42

Mike's story won't get told. Away from home for 13 months, giving all his time and energy to making things better over there. All we can do is keep his spirits up and keep him happy, and do the same for the thousands of others who are making a positive difference like he is.

There are people who make a lot of noise about making a difference, but don't do anything. And then there are people like Mike, who don't say anything, they just go do it.

From walter on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:37:05

You are so so right! I hope I never take it for granted! If I do just send him over and give me a good kick in the butt! I may be able to out run him. lol Well I am headed to bed. Im finally getting sleepy. Ill chat with you later.

From kungfublonde on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 01:40:34

Nah, he'll just bring you a teddy bear with a red, white and blue bow on it. Then he'll race you :)

'night Walter

From wheakory on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 11:42:09

Walter have you done anything with your laptop hard drive?

From walter on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 19:47:13

I am waiting to get paid so I can go pick up my computer at rip me off's are us! They charged me $413.00 to put a new Hard drive in it. Freekin rip offs!

From wheakory on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 22:11:05

Walter! Walter! you should have sent it to me I would have charged just $100.00 or even less because your a friend.

From walter on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 23:09:12

I know I just needed a fix to my computer. I will still send you my old hard drive and see if you can get my stuff off of it.

From wheakory on Tue, Oct 14, 2008 at 23:46:06

I could of bought you an new hard drive for $89.00 and put it in for you for $50.00 and saved you some money. Next time let me know, because I don't like to see people get ripped off because they don't know how to do it themselves.

From walter on Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 00:56:45

Alrighty I will! How about Bill collecting? How are you at that. I honestly feel like going into some of these builders offices with my gun strapped to my hip!

From kungfublonde on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 18:06:27

Woohoo Walter!! You made it onto the "hot discussions" board with two blogs- both of which have pretty much nothing to do with running!! :)

From Walter on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 21:07:36

Thanks Rachel. I owe it all to you!
