I could not sleep last night due to a mistake that my foreman did on a job site yesterday.  I was going to run at 2:30 this morning to see if it would make me tired enough to forget about my problems but I chickened out.  I got my daughter off to school and then had a meeting with an account Im working on.  Then dealt with this BS that may cost me my business.  I swear I cant be everywhere that I need to be during the day so I pay out the wazoo for someone to try and help and all he does is hinder.  It is frustrating.  I put a full day of driving around and trying to patch up this and it didnt even resolve it.  So hopefully I can get it out of mind enough to sleep this evening!  I ran at 6:30 tonight to help calm myself and try to force myself in a coma.  I ended up running 12 miles in 1:25 which is a 7:09 mile.

Great run Walter. I hope everything works out. It is frustrating when you can't rely on anyone but yourself to do things right. My hubby has had that issue with his business for years but FINALLY has a few great guys that have relieved a lot of his stress. Good luck with your issue and don't sweat it too much. It is what it is and just try and make the best of it:)

From Jon on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 23:46:32

Nice run... bad times about work :( I'm sorry.

Hey, my husband LOVED your polar bear joke :D I am trying to decide if I should tell it to my 7 year old. he wouldn't get it, but my parents would fall over laughing if he told it to them:) We are a very disfunctional family :D

From w on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 01:02:51

Yes my family is the same way, who do you think I heard it from!?

From jona on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 01:22:30

Walter, I haven't met you, but sorry to hear about the work problems. I get stress from work with deadlines, I'm sure this must be 1000000x worse. Hang in there. You will figure a solution!

From walter on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 09:27:26

I cant get my insurance to even look at helping me, which completely took me by surprise.

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 10:02:33

Sorry Walter. That is a bummmer. Do you want me to send a cop to beat someone up? KIDDING TOTALLY!!!! But I am willing to send myself, the mean stay at home mom, to beat someone up for ya if it will make you feel better!

I need to hear the polar bear joke.

From cody on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 10:10:07

I am pulling for ya, man

From Walter on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 10:16:17

Kelli, You know that is a great idea on collecting money from my deadbeat paying builders. I told my wife I was going to wear my 9mm on my hip and walk in to their business and as why Im not getting paid. Maybe if I do that along with Scott in uniform it would strike the fear of paying me off!

From Walter on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 10:17:34

Thanks Cody. Im going to have to sell some flatbed trucks that I own to pull me out of this rut. The problem is who's going to buy them right now? No one is spending money!

From jtshad on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 10:32:14

Sorry about the business issues, my friend. I know you can work it out, but it is frustrating and stressful.

Hang in there and good luck.

There's no sense on crying over spilled water, Wall-e. It's milk under the bridge, bud. :)

I hope all is better today. The economy is going to pick up soon; hang in there!

Remember: It never always gets worse!

From Teena on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 16:25:11

Hope things are going better for you today! Hey ... I have a joke about a polar bear ... interested?

From Walter on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 23:19:44

Jeff, thanks. I know ive just about had it with construction. I will go down with the ship though! It did get better today with some issues.

Lucia! You always are a great motivater! Your so much better than Chris Farley. He got paid for his speeches and lived in a van down by the river!

Teena, Isnt it great when your own joke comes back to you!? lol Yes Tell me more about this polar bear!
