Way to lap me, twice! But, hey, I am sick (or pregnant), so if I was on my game I could have beat you---I am sure of it.

Now, seriously, I have to say two things:

#1-you are fast. It is so cool to watch you just take off an go like it is nothing. It is so amazing to watch!!

#2-you are such a cheerleader. I love that as you pass you tell me I am doing a great job! You know that not everyone is a speed demon, and you appreciate all levels.

So, thanks for being both a cheerleader and then just so amazingly fast!

From Jody on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 10:41:52

It was great to see you run today and get lapped!

From walter on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 19:33:03

K-dawg, let me know the results of your pee test ok? (I love spreading rumors)jk so as for your personal training cheerleader, I always like to watch people coming in after a run and cheering them on! My coach always told me that there is always someone out there better than you and even if I did good in a race I try not to let it get to my head.

Jody, It was my privilege to give you a lapping! lol Keep up the good work Jody. Your going to be great.

From Michelle N. on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 20:16:13

Yeah Walter, but you are one of those people who is cheering us stragglers on and I want to body slam you. Ha, ha. I really do love it when people cheer me on that have already finished cuz you are right, there is always someone better and it seems to me they are a little more humble.

From walter on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 20:30:07

Michelle- If I see you coming at me in a body slam fashion, I will move away from you! "I must break you" (Rocky) lol

From Michelle N. on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 20:34:16

You are quite the movie buff. I was watching Predator the other night and laughing when Arnold said "Do it, do it now!" You quoted this somewhere last week or the week before or something. Oh and I also watched Rocky Balboa the other night. Wait, maybe it is me that is the movie buff.

From walter on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 20:41:56

I think Kelli is the one that is going to body slam me for keeping up this rumor. It is hard work making this pretty body look so dumb. (white men cant jump)

From Michelle N. on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 20:47:02

I think Kelli has a great sense of humor. She'll will love you for it. It gives a new topic to discuss. It's funny though, everytime I feel crappy someone asks if I'm pregnant. I don't just say no, I say HELL NO!

From walter on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 20:54:30

M-Yes I do hope she does! Maybe we can get her on the Hot discussion board!

From Michelle N. on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 20:59:32

She's already over there for one discussion but this one will end up there with "pregnant Kelli" all over the place.

From walter on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 21:27:17

Im laughing with you not at you Kelli! lol

From Kelli on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 23:53:34

Okay, I should have come to your BLOG first to figure out why I was all of the sudden pregnant. But hey, I could use some twins---I do not have any of those yet!

Now, darn, that i did not come here first. Then I could have perpetuated the rumor and had some fun! I was just wondering why everyone was saying I was pregnant when, just three comments above, i had said it was not possible!

Scott can quote movies with the best of 'em---you will have to get together and have a movie quote fest.

From walter on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 00:09:17

Ok EVERYBODY Kelli is not pregnant. We are 99.9% sure of it.

Here is on of my favorite quotes, "I cant believe we cant find a job in this whole town, Yeah unless you want to work 40 hours a week!"

From wheakory on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 01:00:02

Great workout Walter keep it up. Your Mr. Speedy.

From Walter on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 09:36:38

Thanks Kory, I hope I can finish a marathon like I start. I may have to look into some smelling salts.

From Camille on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 10:38:56

Good work yesterday!

From Walter on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 10:41:57

Thanks Camille, I really do like speed workouts. In High school I noticed my speed increase from them. Not so much now, but I still know they are like weight lifting to me, if I stop I will become flabby! lol

From Camille on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 10:46:06

Yeah... You better keep it up, or you will be getting soft around the middle. I have yet to do speed work. I know I should, and I actually live really close to a highschool... but I don't know what the heck I'm doing, I *know* I would lose track to how many times I've gone around the track... and a million more excuses.

From Walter on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 10:51:59

I do mine with a group and it helps. Its hard to do them by yourself. It takes alot of inner strength to keep up your tempo. When I do mine, I just start with 4x400's and every week ad 2-4 until your at 5-6 miles of speed and recovery miles. then add 800's and 1200's and 1600's You can get a program that'll give you a schedule of them every week and then try to stick to it and you will notice the difference. You have to put in a good base of miles before you attempt it though.

From Camille on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 10:54:20

Well... hummm... I don't have anyone to run with, so that's problem 1. I am going to have to see if anyone in my neighborhood wants to met up and run once a week. What's a "good base of miles"?

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 13:15:26

Walter, as if you could gain any flab anywhere on your body!

So, our group helps you even though you are so much faster?? That is interesting. Slow people do have something to offer.

From Camille on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 13:29:34

Never mind about my question regarding the good base of miles. Burt just sent me a link to Teena's running blog where Sasha wrote a great explaination. You guys are so running savy :o)

From walter on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 14:00:21

Kelli, yes your slowness does help increase my speed! lol When I stayed with James and Lybi down in Arizona for the Del Sol race she pulled out a scale that tells you your body fat and everyone on the team had 4-5% body fat! Our diabolic rate was equivalent to a 14 year old. So see, that explains my immaturity! lol

Camille, good that you saw that, dont be discouraged if everyone is telling you to run more miles than your used too. Just increase your mileage slowly and get to a good base of miles and then you'll benefit with tempo work.

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 14:17:44

Are you trying to rub it in?? You skinny people...

From Michelle N. on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 14:24:42

Hey, Walter and Kelli are going to dominate the "Hot Discussions" box again.

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 14:33:01

But you are helping to make it all possible, Michelle.

From luke on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 19:08:42

Hey this luke you asked me the question about the duathlon. It was actually at the sand hollow revoir out by Hurricane and was really set up well. Good Luck in Running!

From walter on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 19:41:38

Hey luke, I wanted to do that one. I think that was put on by the same guy. The Tuacahn one I did, both Steve O and myself went off the course. I went a full 1.5 miles off as he just missed a turn and backtracked. They allowed me to get my 2nd place finish even though I did that, but I was only a few seconds behind Steve and after I messed up I was about 2 full minutes behind him which would've taken a miracle to catch him and make up that much time in 1.5 miles. They are fun though dont you think? Very challenging!

From Walter on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 20:21:53

Thanks Michelle and Kelli, all all my people out there that could make this possible. I hope I didnt forget anyone.
