I ran 9+ miles with the BB group this morning.  I ran with Scott, Peggy, and Lynette.  It was a brisk morning. Around 55 degrees at the river bottom.  Brrrr!  Good thing we were working it enough to not freeze.   My legs are tight and thats ok. We did a down hill run with some hill at the end.

55 degrees is balmy compared to the 44 degrees I had this morning...I even checked and wore gloves (and I needed them), but at least it wasn't windy here (yet!). Nice to have a group to run with that early in the morning to keep you motivated.

Keep running strong. What time are you shooting for at SGM?

How is work going?

Man, I need to move back west! I'm jealous... though this summer here in DC has been quite mild compared with others.

Wallaby, you sure you don't need a taper week soon? You've been running lots lately, and your leg has been bothering you... we don't want to see you injured, ya know?

From Kelli on Thu, Aug 28, 2008 at 15:44:04

Wallaby?? That is my favorite nickname yet.

I agree, though! Take it easy, we gotta get you back to number 12!

Jeff- its getting cold out there and it seems to be a bit shorter for you! I thought we were about the same climate. Im using a running group in my area for accountability! I have a problem with that you know. Have you heard from the Del Sol team what they have in mind for next year. Im probably going to be x'd when I have my surgeries at the end of October when they find no miles are being recoreded. Work is good again, Im getting ready to start an apartment complex. I have a few little jobs between that and that should take me to the winter. You know as far as a time for SGM I would like to hit a 2:32. I hope Im not jinxing myself by that time because my half marathon times should be down there. I just feel tired lately and my legs are taking some abuse. I may skip TOU full and just concentrate on SGM.

Lucia, no taper yet! in fact Im hoping to get my miles up to 90 by next week. I think it would be fun to do a long run in DC. Id definitely end up in a different state! How cool is that!

K-dawg, Lucia wins, there is no possible way I can think of as many nicknames as her. I feel like saying "goodday mate" if you call me wallaby. I think if I quit running I could come up with some crazy stuff like that! lol

Wall-ee-Bee, from where I work, I am one mile from Virginia and about 5 miles from Maryland, so running in 2 states and the district is normal for me.

Thanks for the compliment, Kel-tik girl :)

What comes around goes around Kel-tik chick! lol ok serious Lucia, you've got a gift my friend! so yes, I would be having fun planning a route to be in a different state or two at that on my runs. Very cool.
