I ran up millcreek canyon this afternoon and after a few miles found myself alone.  It was very peacefull and I could only hear the water.  After about mile three up there I saw someones shoe and it was recent!  It wasnt old or anything. It made me very nervous and I looked around for blood or drag marks and couldnt see anything so I kept running. I got into some thick snow and it was about 9" deep but I kept running to the top of the turn around.  It was a very pleasant run and if there were more people on the trail I would have gone further.

Hey Ironman,

I see you are training for Vikingman. I also see you do not bike too much. Are you going to rely on the shape you get from running to get you through the bike?

What were you doing on your swimming that made you go faster?

I was crossing my arms inward too much and ive been forcing my arms to go out and my reach was slapping and now I sort of push and my hand needed to be forward more expecially on my exit. I was pulling my arm out of the water too soon and now I sort of flick my had out of the water. Yes I am relying on my run which is not the best way to go. You can make more ground up on the bike than the run in my oppinion. I can only run 1-2 miles per hour faster than most runners in triathlons. You can be a great biker and average 5mph or more over a mediocre biker like myself.
