I am the 12th runner on the team and I ran

1 mile warmup with misty and 1 mile alone. Then I did the first leg in the dusk till dark. 60 degrees and a slight breeze. Nice conditions. I averaged 7 miles with a 548 pace. 5of the miles were on loose sandy terrain and I couldn't get myself to move. When I hit the highway I felt like I could fly.

5:48 isn't getting your legs to move? Holy cow!

Rockin' pace with the sand! I did a sand trail with my sister and thought I was going FAST, but when I looked at the end we'd only gone a 9:35 AP - understand the yucky sand!!!

I am so amazed at how awesome I can run down here. Although Im still not in as good a shape as last year, I still hit a 5:35 average on my night run. It felt good. Marion, watch for Kelli's and Misty's and Burts and Camilles and James' Blog. It was real fun, in a weird sadistic way.

Michelle, Im no good in sandy soil. It wasnt like a beach sandy, but just couldnt get my legs to push off. Im still amazed at taking 15 seconds on average off my pace.

Rachel, I have been watching and having Kelli read me your text messages, wow. I leave for the weekend and you decide to take over the blog in awesome running. ;) I did get my 60+ week this year. Yeah. Now I can start getting to 80. ugg

Im so proud of my team for picking up the pace and running their guts out! Kelli was very commended by other runners when she ran because of her perfect form and great times. Scott amazed me with running the entire 8 miles with his wife on her leg to keep the dingos away. Jose didnt think he would run any faster than a 8:30 pace and one of his legs he hit 7:52 pace! Misty didnt think she could beat her 10 min. pace and smashed it! And Lamont drove down on Thursday night and got to Walmart, jumped in our SUV and ran with a 3 hour sleep break. I hope he drives home safely becuse im hovering right now!
