| | pm--10 I really didn't feel like running yesterday, so I didn't. In fact, in some ways, I feel like the body could use a few days off. Nonetheless, I've got some shoes that need 25+ miles this week. So I head on my reverse loop around Clary and added a jaunt up to the Canyons. I only planned on 8 but kept going. |

| | pm--8.25 I'm still feeling a little sick, but I got out anyway. It is cold out. I went into Green Valley, to Plant World, and back. |

| | am--11.5 Ran up to the high school to meet Aussie and run an easy 10. It was a fun run up into Ivins and around Santa Clara. Saw some of the Expedition St. George folks out. Hope they ran well on a brisk morning. Got the miles I needed to on the shoes--close to 70. |

| | pm--4.25 What a big week? Today was the only day that I ran this week, and I really don't feel that bad about it. My body was needing a little break. Now, I feel like I need to change some things because I want to start kicking the training up a notch. We'll see what the next few weeks have to bring and start assessing from there. |

| | pm--6 I just went out to see if I still like running. After 3 miles I decided to hit it a little harder and ran 7x1 min. fartleks at 5K pace w/ 1 min. jog in between. It felt great. I'd like to hit some kind of run like this every week. Of course, I should truly double the reps. I think I still like running. |

am--3.5 A quick jaunt w/ neighbor Greg. He had to be somewhere, and I could definitely use some time to work.
pm--7.5 A run not much else. The legs are tired. It must be some kind of a funk.

| | pm--6.25 Got out on the Anasazi Trail w/ Tom to decompress after a few action-packed days. I love the easy, light, smooth stuff on the trails. That's truly the way to fall in love w/ running again. |

| | pm--7.25 Farted around, sockless, on the Barrel Roll and Sidewinder trails. Once again, the dirt makes running fun. |

| | am--4.25 Ran up to the SC track to meet some family and get in a few miles. These past few weeks running has been a struggle, except out on the trails. On top of that, I've had a pretty bad head and chest cold, so things have slowed down quite a bit running-wise. I really need a proximal goal. Maybe Painter's. I'll have to sign up. |

| | am--3 I'm in Oceanside, so I ran along the road closest to the beach only because the tide was high. I might wait a little longer tomorrow. The beach looks a good running surface. |

| | am--3.5 Sockless miles on the beach as the tide went out. I'm stilling trying to break in / get used to these NB 100s. I feel like I have a pretty efficient running style. Now I just need to build up the miles again. |

| | This is, I believe, the first 0-mile day that I've posted, but I had to record a few thoughts. I ran my 1st and 2nd marathons this year, my 1st and 2nd 10Ks, and had some great PRs. I've run in some great places--Wisconsin, the beach, and the desert of Southern Utah. I look forward to improving next year, try some new things as far as running goes, and continue to enjoy it. Thanks to all of those who have been an inspiration--Dave, James H, Scott, Mike, Burt, Amber, Aubree, Craig, the PVXC kids, my in-laws, and, most importantly, my 3 girls. Now for that last Monster. |
