Continue running as often as I can, as far as I can, as fast as I can. Teaching my kids (by example) the rewards that come from putting in the work. Very slowly get to 50 states.

I started running because someone dared me to.

I watched a Pixar documentary last night on Netflix. I was stunned to find out we were married a year and a half before Toy Story 1. I guess I had it in my head that I must have been a child, because it is a children's movie. Sigh. Old man is old.

As I turned back onto pinebrook road, I passed the guy that people usually think is me. For the last couple of years, people have said - Hey, I saw you running. When I ask them to describe the runner, I realize they are thinking of this guy, not me. We run a lot of the same routes, but just not at the same time of day. It's funny, but my answer is always - I'm WAY faster than that guy, as if this is how poeple can tell us apart. The dude is a half foot taller than me, bald, always runs shirtless with a headband, and has a snot rag draped over his waistband while he runs. But yeah, they should be able to tell that I'm faster than that guy. The resemblence is uncanny! (typed in sarcasm font)

And yes, I passed him, like Michael would pass a 9 year old on a bike. Dusted.

Since Tom Brady came to Florida,  we have had 1 Stanley Cup victory, 1 apprearance in the NBA finals, and 1 appearance in the World Series. Well, they said the guy was going to have an impact.

I am so winded. Yes the weather stinks. Yes I'm out of shape. But this feels like too much work. 

I run the trails when I know I'm going to have a bad run. Nobody can see me out there struggling. Except for the 1/4 mile of each lap that is next to Pinebrook Road. I give that all I can. I don't want anybody to see me running slow.
