| 4 on the trails. super humid. soccer season is in full swing, so the part of the run through the soccer fields parking lot is super sketchy. I had a weird mashup of 2 songs in my head - Collective Soul's Gel, and Nine Inch Nails' Everyday is Exactly the Same. I have no explanation for this.

| On the trails. Today is Pop's 83rd Birthday. We have dinner over there tonight. I remember when I was a kid, during the 1970's running boom, "helping" my dad lose weight by running with him along the Delaware Canal Towpath in Levittown. Man, he hated running, but it's better than being fat. I had a running outfit, that believe it or not, was like terry cloth, or a beach towel material. That's like the opposite of running clothes today. I should go back there and run that again. I'm sure it's better maintained than it was in the 70's.

I just noticed Adam RW left the blog about a month ago. It's not like we were tight, but we commented on each other's pages every now and then. There's 35 of us left here, every month, posting about running, and non-running things. I have no other social media. No facebook, no instachats, etc. Every now and then someone asks me when something occurred. And I think "oh that was after such and such race", and I go to the blog and I find the date. There's a lot of memories I have posted here over the last 12 years. I guess I have no real point to what I'm saying. Just kind of melancholy about it.

| 7.5 miles. Hood Route to Legacy Trail and Back. This is the best a run has felt in a long time. I felt like I had kind of powerful strides. No quite back to the "well-oiled-machine" running from years ago. But it was a good run. 75 deg., 95% hum., 74 d.p. Lots of family visiting from out of town this weekend. Big dinner at mother in law's last night.
