The short story is that prior to today I had run under 6 miles since my last race, on Feb 11th.  So no fitness and definitely no legs.

I was going to skip it but then I ran 4 on Thursday and decided things weren't that bad.  So I decided to give it a go and run with the pack for fun.

It was really kind of nice to run with no pressure other than to finish and not get hurt.  I moved back from my starting corral to one several back and started in the back of that.  Then I just went with the flow of the crowd.  It was fun being in a group and getting to pass lots of people.  It was even better that my foot felt pretty normal and didn't give me any problems.  My quads and hamstrings weren't enjoying the pounding but at least they didn't cramp.

My finishing time was slow but I was pleased to get through it.  It was fun to be at a big race again.

1:47:09 overall -

first 8 were 8:22 ave pace

last 5.1 were 7:51 ave.  Last one was low 7's probably (didn't use my watch so just a guess)

30 min on the elliptical & 5 min core stuff

felt good to move the muscles - still pretty stiff from the race.

stiffness is getting better.

Trying to eat consistently well this week.  We went out way too many times last week.

2 miles this afternoon.  Things were getting better by the end.

30 min on the elliptical in the evening + 10 min core stuff

Foot feeling good and legs almost all the way back. Went out for 3, ran into a train crossing the road so I had to take the long way home. Felt pretty good but I still feel a little clunkly. Just happy to be here at this point.

20 elliptical + core 10 min + 20 min stairs

didn't hit anything that hard, but I'm kind of tired tonight
