ran over to the race which gave me a decent warmup.  Never really felt that spunky.  But I always feel that way for this race.  Pretty even effort the whole way.  I know where my fitness is (or is not) at least.

Dang, I think you did great!!! I can't even run a 5k in 25:27. lol. Maybe i fi lose this excess weight and train hard, I could do it.

Smooth and Dale, thanks. I feel cruddy being 30 sec per mile slower than two years ago but i will fight back. Need to watch my diet and work harder.

Tim, it sure is hard to stay disciplined all the time. I have been eating so crappy lately, mostly because I don't have enough time to prepare healthier meals, but I really need to make time if I'm going to get this extra weight off. I did it before, I should be able to do it again, right? Lol
