10 miles, AP 7:39 (which is pretty much the exact marathon pace I am shooting for).

Granted, while I was running I took one fluid break (60 seconds), stopped for about 30 seconds when I ran into Rachel (because how could I not ... she's awesome) and then about 15 seconds picking up Smo for the last three miles.

I had not planned on running marathon pace. Was just shooting for around 8s. Things just fell into place that way. It was a comfortable hard which is very reassuring. It actually would have been a slower overall pace had it not been for Smo. I told her to keep me at about a 7:45ish pace. It was raining outside and I guess the cooler temps put some ants in her pants with each progressive mile since our last three miles were: 7:40, 7:30 then 6:35!!! What a NUTJOB!!!!!

Really hoping Smo will pace me the last handful of miles at the marathon. It'll all depend on her basketball schedule. They may have a tournament. I hope hope hope not. I NEED her!!

Getting nervous.

Awesome run! Huge confidence builder! Hope the mini bullet babe (aka Smo) will run the last 5K with you to a glorious 3:18 at SGM

Great run, you are so ready. No more crazy fast (faster then mp) runs this week.

I can't think of any better motivation for the end of a marathon. Good luck at SGM! You're looking good for it!

Can't wait to read about your race. Amy got a new PR. She finished in 4:54:XX.

That is awesome, Dale! I had am amazing 17 miles and then an epic fail 9 miles with the worst cramping I have ever experienced in my life. I'll try and write something up tomorrow. My final time was 3:31:08 I think. Disappointed, yes, but did what I could. :-)

From DaleG on Sat, Oct 04, 2014 at 22:08:34 from 66.87.126.171

Oh no! Too bad about the cramps! Your time is still very impressive to me.
