Solid effort. Legs still a bit heavy and tired, but overall a good run. :)

 Looking forward to tapering. :)

I LOVE TAPERING!!! It's my favorite part of traininig! Of course I'm tapering after much fewer mileage weeks than you!

Hey at least you drank something worth talking about! :)

Love you and thanks for the leg help yesterday. The little star tape thing didn't help so I'm taking it off! The other one did though!

thanks for sharing your garminconnect!! that is so cool!! Way to go Teena. I wish I were running Ogden but I signed up for UVM because Ogden was full and then once again they had those 100 spots thru Zion's bank but I didn't want to "bank" on that assumption of them having spots. I love the Ogden course and post race fun!! Plus Ogden is earlier and I am itching to get the marathon over and done with....I feel like I have been running forever.....Happy Tapering!!

Sis~

We knew that star was a long shot ... but it did make you look super stylish!!! :) :) :)

Julie~

A 22-miler on Saturday and then taper time. Hallelujah!!! :) :) :) Ogden and UVM are both AWESOME marathons (as you know). I hope I get to see you a bit before UVM! :)

From Andy on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 14:20:27 from 199.190.170.31

Are you counting anything under 8:00/mile as MP? Your splits were pretty consistent. Good luck with your 22 miler this weekend. Remember, long runs are about time on your feet. It is not the time to work on your speed. Just as a reminder: http://teenamarie.fastrunningblog.com/blog--22-miles-AP-7-58-7-49-7-45-/03-27-2010.html

From Teena Marie on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 14:25:51 from 67.2.88.232

OUCH Andy!!!

(But EXACTLY what I needed to be reminded of!!)

I guess I just have this quirky thing in my head that says if I can't do 20-22 miles at marathon pace that I will never be able to do 26.2.

Yes, I am counting anything under 8:00 minute miles as MP, although for a 3:25 it would be 7:50, so technically I suppose I only got one MP mile. Yikes! But, the last 6 miles felt like marathon effort. Hmmmm ... I have no idea what I am doing!

What am I talking about? Of course I know what I am doing. (I have got to get these negative thoughts out of my brain!!!!)

From Teena Marie on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 14:26:08 from 67.2.88.232

Oh yeah ... any chance you are considering Paul's offer?

From Andy on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 14:32:32 from 199.190.170.31

I apologize. It was only meant as a gentle reminder. Paul's offer is intriguing but there is very little chance that I could keep up with you. My longest run has been 16 miles since SGM.

From Teena Marie on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 15:05:52 from 67.2.88.232

You could keep up with me with your eyes closed and 25 lbs of ankle weights, Andy! :)

From Smooth on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 15:17:23 from 67.2.109.10

AWESOME run...solid consistent pace in the middle of a high mileage week!! You are going to get that 3:25 or faster especially if you have Andy to pace you and Brooke to bring you vodka in OJ!!!

How do you do that garminconnect thing? It is so cool! I wanna learn how! of course my runs are very slow and boring! :)

GOOD LUCK with Physics assignment!

You are so good to tape everyone's legs and take care of everyone's injuries even when you are so busy with finals and end of school stuffs! Love and miss you so much!

From fly on the Wall on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 17:01:03 from 204.113.19.47

"I was planning on shooting for a sub 3:30" The average for your 14 miles was 8:02 which puts you at 3:30:xx.... But these were flat miles on the JRP. Ogden has quite a few downhill miles. So it seems your whole run averaged out to your stated goal pace?

"I guess I just have this quirky thing in my head that says if I can't do 20-22 miles at marathon pace that I will never be able to do 26.2. " When you start your 22 miler you will already have a weeks worth of very hard training on your legs. When you start Ogden your legs should be rested. (Plus there's that gravity assist thing.) So banish that quirky thing from your head. Long runs aren't supposed to be pace runs.

SSF~

If I am remembering right all you do is set up an account on connect.garmin.com while your garmin is plugged in. I already had the training center set up on my computer ... not sure if that makes a difference or not. I'm sure we could figure it out easily. :) LLL LLL LLL

Fly~

In the process of banishment of the quirky thoughts! :) :) :) (If I weren't nervous about twisting an ankle I would beg you to take me on the trails. I miss them so badly.)

Excellent run! You are a machine!

Matt~

Well that's a whole lot better than what you called me earlier!!!! :) :) :)

From glidergirl on Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 00:14:07 from 155.97.238.134

"Legs still a bit heavy and tired"...oh my goodness...yet still a 8:02 run after all the runs you've had lately? So awesome!

From glidergirl on Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 00:15:23 from 155.97.238.134

Smooth, I just saw your comment... what is vodka?

From Teena Marie on Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 00:16:00 from 67.2.88.232

And now I get to take a much easier Thursday and Friday!!! Yahoo!!! :) :) :)

Can't wait to run with you again, Brooke! :)

From Teena Marie on Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 00:18:06 from 67.2.88.232

Oh Brooke -- you are too cute!!!!

Vodka is a very strong alcoholic beverage. :) :) :)

(Or were you kidding ... and really knew what it was?)

From watchmerun on Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 00:33:12 from 24.10.152.45

Teena: I'm sure there will be some poor bloke from whom you can steal his morning "pick me up." Maybe the same guy that volunteered at Park City will be at Ogden. But, if he sees you coming, he will be protecting his beloved beverage.

From Rhett on Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 12:40:55 from 216.67.216.104

Dang girl, 37 miles in 3 days. Your legs should be feeling tired. Keep up the great work. Don't forget you cutback weeks so your legs can recover.

From glidergirl on Thu, Apr 28, 2011 at 14:13:36 from 155.97.238.134

Sorry Teena, it was just a joke...I know what Vodka is. ;) But I guess my little round angelic face really does look that innocent, huh?! Haha! I was reminded of your "mishap" when Matt mentioned the Park City thing. That was SO funny!!
