20 miles, AP 7:59

-14.5 @ 7:54, on the JRP by my lonesome, well kind of my lonesome, the trail was packed -- and I ran into Kathie and Kimmy :)

- 5.5 @ 8:17 , on 7800 South with Smo. I was so tired at the end and she showed me no mercy by kicking it up a giant notch the last mile and leaving me in the dust. My legs were just too mushy to respond. Dang.

*** Then I was adding up my miles for the week and realized that I only needed one more to hit an even 60! I hopped on the treadmill and slowly plugged along.

1 mile, 9:30

Got to figure out my intake before Boston. I feel the energy being zapped from my legs around mile 17. Not good! But on a positive note I have zero niggles! That is usually not the case with me this close to a marathon. Usually am trying to ward off something. So perhaps the two things will offset each other. :)

Great week of training. Glad that you are going into the final stretch niggle free.

Niggle free - that's an interesting term?

Congrats on a great long on Sat. We've only got 27 days and a wake up - be careful out there. We don't need any "niggles", injuries, or illnesses!!!

Of course you hopped on the treadmill for 1 more miles. (I'd have done the same thing). Good to see you're feeling good this close to Boston!

Now you have to skate on the edge of the knife, and get to the starting line niggle free. The race is shaping up well for you. Fingers crossed!

Yo Gumpers - Looks like the Zim-Fam has finally pulled the plug on the Old Forum Flyers....too bad, so sad, wish it wasn't so

Andy ~

Thanks! I'm pretty happy about it. I wasn't able to get my miles as high as I would have liked before Boston but they are definitely not low and I am niggle free! :)

Slick ~

It's crazy that it is so close! Too bad about the forum flyers. I haven't been one to post much there or here simply due to lack of time. However, the forum flyers were definitely the first group of runners to really make me feel a part of things. Hence I am sad to hear that it has shut down. :-(

Matt ~

It's funny how that works!! :) And, thanks! :)

Kam ~

I hope that the weather and such will pan out. I am not sure what type of goal I should set for myself since I have only run the course twice, including: Once injured and the other time it was 89 stinkin' degrees! :) AND ... now I am feeling a bit older. ;-)
