Each week my goal is to do a tempo run that lasts 42 minutes with 3 minutes cool down (and then some walking to cool down more). Why 45 minutes total? Because that's how long it takes to watch a TV show on hulu.com. Anyway, my goal each week will be to run farther than the previous week. This week I started strong and then really struggled. I barely held 7:30 pace for the last 2/3 of it. But it gives me a good baseline. In the 42 minutes I ran 5.84 miles. |
